Cooper's Beach is just BEAUTIFUL! We even saw 2 rainbow when we were there! White sand and hardly any garbage on the beach. They even have a dispenser with suntan lotion! Slather some on and don't get sunburned! They also have a cafeteria, outdoor shower, and restrooms near the parking lot.

Lots of room in this parking lot as long as you have permission. The restrooms are clean and just fine. For families visiting the beaches in Amagansett, I'd say it's preferable to Indian Mills which attracts a younger, more party-minded set. And for the twenty and thirty somethings, be aware that there's a disproportionate number of children under 10 years old roaming this beach, peeing in the ocean and generally underfoot. Parking is permit-only during the weekend, though on weekdays non-permit holders can pay a fee. The food stand offers an array of beach foods like fried clams, lobster rolls and chicken tenders in addition to the healthier chicken caesar wraps and salads. Our local host at a nearby hotel recommended the Beach Burger and I was definitely not disappointed - it's almost Shake Shack worthy! The sodas are also notably humongous - though with the summer sun beating down it's definitely not a gamble to super size to a large. Surfs up!

It's a smaller and much quieter alternative to neighboring options, but still has everything you could want for the perfect beach day. Bathrooms? Check. Showers? Check. Food and beverage stand with a variety of options? Check. Short walk to the beach? Check. Everyone mostly behaves on this beach, which I appreciate. It's definitely not a "Hamptons party beach" (if you're looking for that vibe, Hot Dog beach would be my pick, where the surfer bros like to hang. It's worth noting that the bathrooms at Tiana don't open until the last week of June, so if you're coming here for the day before then you may have to brave the port-a-potty. Also, if you see a seal on the beach here, leave it alone or face a fine. That said, they're so fun to spot -- promise my seal photos are taken from a far distance with a zoomed in camera.

If you don't, you'll be ticketed over and over again by the bay constable until you move your car, unlike other places in the city where you can remain parked once you get a ticket. So be warned! One really annoying thing is that people bring their dogs during off hours and some will bury their dogs waste in the sand instead of picking it up... If you're gonna own a dog... Own all of it, people!!! Still this beach has some awesome sand and great views of the ocean, amazing sunsets and equally beautiful full moon and stars view at night too! Multiple parking areas but one central area with spaces for bikes and electric cars and life guards and a hot and cold food shack with shower and bathroom facilities that was all rebuilt last year and looks beautiful.

They accommodated some last minute travel conflicts and helped me make it to my friend wedding in the nick of time! The rooms are perfectly decorated to feel unique and cozy but not overdone. The floor plan is extremely clever because they utilize a slat wall to separate the bathroom area from the room, with the tv mounted flush. This design eliminates wasted space and creates a circular flow to the room which made it feel much more spacious. The rules were lax, in that they let adults be adults as long as they act like adults. The staff was attentive and the amenities in my room were luxurious and some were even complimentary. It's easy to get to the Main Street in town and central to all the best beaches. Great for instagram photos too! Definitely enjoy a stay here and you won't be disappointed.
