This business has changed hands--relatives of the previous owners purchased it. It is now named Del Tejano but the menu and recipes are the same. We came in to give it a try under the new owners. We got a chicken gordita, a chicken tostada and the Parrillada Regia plate. We finished with a canoa. The gordita and tostada were good representations. The gordita was tasty and the tostada was firm enough to pick up, though it was fully loaded so that was awkward in a good way. But the star was the Parrillada Regia plate. This plate comes on a sizzling fajita skillet with beef, shrimp, sausage and a pork chop as proteins, grilled onions and peppers, and rice, beans, tortillas, avocado and pico de gallo on the side. The beef was good, the chicken fine but slightly on the dry side, the sausage had lots of flavor, and the shrimp was well cooked. But I recommend this plate for the pork chop. It's a thin chop but it was cooked just right, done but nice and tender. There's a very narrow window to get chops right, and most places miss it, but this one was great. The portions of the proteins are about right for one taco, I would call it a sample plate. But it's under $20 so I think it is a great value as well as a good dish. Am getting that again. We may have failed to appreciate the canoa. It's a fried plantain topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. My wife thought it was too sweet, and I thought it wasn't sweet enough. Your mileage will obviously vary. The place has been fully decorated since my last review and is quite attractive inside. The bathrooms were clean and ready. Service was good. I think the place will be successful under the new owners. read more

I typically order the desayuno centroamericano con fajita plate. The plantain & cheese with the over easy egg just does it for me. I've tried other things as well, such as the pupusas. They also have a great deal with ordering a pound of meat & adding on the family pack so you get tortillas, salsa, & frijoles. Super nice ladies & I highly recommend. read more

I came here on a Sunday morning for the buffet. It's not a buffet like most of us would think, there's a few selections that you can choose from and it's dished out to you , iits a very small selection. I don't yet know what the price is but I had a bowl of posole which was really good, avbarbacoa Taco again really good and a very small side of chilaquiles Verdes. I wanted more posole but they were never able to get any more bowls back out there, and I had already thrown trash into my bowl which was unfortunate because I would have definitely used it. The operations seems a little faulty, not quite in sync with each other right now. They have a regular menu that looks like something I would recommend, and I will be back for, but not the buffet. Especially after I paid. $15.95 for that. No freaking way. On a positive note again, they did have Mexican wedding cookies at the counter. I love wedding cookies so if these things are good and I'm about to find out that will be a saving Grace and I will be back for them along with the traditional menu. But please don't do the buffet until they get things worked out., or lower the price, offer a better selection among other things. Never mind, the wedding cookies aren't good.. but again I will be back for the regular menu because there's so much potential here. It looks to be a family-run business and everyone is super friendly and trying very hard , and that I appreciate. For now, I'm only going to be able to give the three star, but I regular menu and hopefully upgrade to a four maybe even five star review read more

The best way to describe the setup is that it's kind of like going to La Michuacana/a Meat Market and ordering your food at the counter. Most of the options are visible in front of you on hot plats and they can make you tacos/gorditas etc.... but there are also extra options on the menu that they can make. The tortillas here are hand made. Both corn and flour. I will say though, my favorite thing I ate was the fajita Gordita! it was fabulous! They allow you to add your own fixings on a mini fixings buffet they have. The only downside to this place is that they're only open for breakfast and lunch; they close at 2pm! read more

Amazing breakfast tacos! Husband and I both ordered chorizo and egg on flour tortillas. The tortillas are home made and reallllllly good. We ordered to go and saw when we got home that they gave us potato instead of egg, but I actually really liked it that way. They have a "get it yourself" station with three different salsas, cheese, limes, etc. The salsas were all great. Habanero salsa was pretty spicy for me, but very flavorful as well. I went in for the Breakfast Buffet on a Saturday am. I was welcomed and then looked at the Buffet. it was not too healty looking. I dont eat processed pork and the Manager offered me what I wanted from the grill. Huevo Ranchero was it. It cam out a few mins later and I made 3 taco with it. I also had the papaya. At checkout I was charged for 3 tacos and a buffet. It took them about 5 mins to figure out the check. I mentioned it was only a buffet and I made the 3 tacos from that. the the shocker, $ 12.99 for the Buffet was very sad for what one should have at a buffet charging that much. If I had seen the price I would of walked out and went to the Red Taco bus next door which serves great food. Wish they opened up in that corner. read more

Me and my boyfriend come just about every morning for various breakfast tacos, and have never been disappointed up until recently... still an amazing breakfast stop but lately my last 4 visits in a row my tacos have had egg shells and I'm not talking just small ones... whole bites full of egg shells throughout the whole taco. Do y'all not pick these out? Did you know eating egg shells can scratch/tear your throat or esophagus and it's very painful? The food was good BUT my complaint is with the customer service. My son forgot his favorite stuff animal in the restaurant that he has been having since he was a year old. I tried calling back 5 times that day and got no response. I finally got in touch with someone the the next day and was told, Yes, they found him BUT they threw him in the trash. I was devastated! They were able to describe him to me and my question was simple, "Why would you throw it in the trash?" I was placed on hold and they never clicked back over.
