This is a great spot for margs and tacos! You order inside then pick where you want to sit. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and I loved how easy and quick service is. We've been eyeing this place for a while and decided today is the day! We sat out side with our pup Sadie, on a brisk 56 degree afternoon, no heaters, but relatively protected by the breeze. Hee Haw is one of 3 establishments in a cute historic courtyard across from the railroad station. Definitely a fun place to stop in when strolling around the area. After chatting with the friendly staff, we ordered tacos and margaritas inside (Redfish, blackened shrimp and ground beef) and then grabbed a booth outside. Despite ordering a skinny the Marg was a little sweet. To be fair, I prefer a classic marg with just tequilla, Cointreau and lime juice, but it's so hard to get bar tenders to understand that! Anyway I digress. The good news is the tacos were perfectly cooked and pretty tasty. The red snapper tacos and blackened shrimp taco were lightly Blackened and just the right amount of Cole slaw. Came here yesterday for a work happy hour. We were having a hard time finding a local place in Tomball that was actually open on a Tuesday at 4:00. We all got different margaritas (pictured my prickly pear with added green sparkles for St. Patrick's day) a long with some chips,queso, salsa, and guac. Kaiya was running the whole front... registers, bar, and training the new girl... all while fielding multiple angry customers that were having to wait longer than normal for their food. I was floored at how Kaiya handled every single person with undeserved kindness and grace! The food did take a long time and it would have helped the situation if customers were told what to expect when they were ordering. Thankfully we were not in a hurry that night though. I had Shrimp Tacos. The taste was one of the best I have ever had. BIRRIA taco and the dipping sauce was to die for. The chips and Guacamole are perfect. The bar is like no other. I promised I try the place across the way that is also one of their establishments called every bellies. Both places are amazing. I recommend this place highly to anyone who's never been here you're missing out if you don't come and visit this place. Fresh food great service. Recently had the unplanned opportunity to try Hee Haws. Most places are closed on Mondays and or friends wanted a marg and tacos so we ended up finding the only place close that was open. I knew that Hee Haws is not fine dining but having outside access, classic Texas time for kids, as well as a full bar, it fit the bill for us four adults and two kids under five, on a Monday! The adults all ordered the tacos ala cart and 2 beers, and retired margs. The kids got simple quesadillas and loved them. Adults were skeptical at first with just tacos and not getting the rice and beans normally associated with a Tex Mex type meal. But these aren't your simple street tacos so nobody missed the beans or rice. We got 2 Birra on corn, a shrimp and a ground beef in flour and nachos and a ground beef on corn. Each were excellent in size, flavor, and presentation. The Birra especially. Service was super fast, Friendly and helpful. For an ice house type place, the beer was a little pricy but I say that about every restaurant! This place sure makes up for it with the food menu though.
