The driver kept getting randon calls from someone, he kept asking us for our address even though he had it plugged into his map. He made a wrong turn and accused us of giving him wrong instructions, he asked for the house number and when we repeated it clearly three times, he told us to just describe the house features. Terrible experience. if I can avoid that driver, I would continue to gladly use Casino taxi.

Got confirmation from dispatcher they would. The driver showed up 45 minutes late and indicated he got the call (to pick us up) from the dispatcher late so he was not able to pick us up on time due to the late call and poor traffic conditions. All this after we made sure to order the taxi ahead so it would be there to pick us up on time. While waiting for the taxi, I kept calling the dispatcher trying to find out where the taxi was. His responses ranged from "it will be there in 5 minutes" to "it will be there momentarily" to "it is waiting at the front door for you" ( which it was not). Turns out the dispatcher works from home and has no idea what is happening to his taxis, nor does he seem to care. And to make matters worse, he really underestimated the fare-- it was almost twice what his original estimate was. In hindsight, I should have just used Uber. If you need a taxi in Halifax, use Uber or one of the local taxis like Casino--I saw many of them pass us as we were waiting for Satellite Taxi. Do not use Satellite Taxi.

Since I generally don't like surprises that early nor the looming fear of missing a flight, I purposely went ahead and booked a town car to be at my house at an ungodly hour to know that all I had to do was roll out of bed. I booked online through Flytime - a website with apparently mixed messages as to whether they are a town car or limo service - prepaid at a much higher rate than your average cab, got a confirmation by text message, and was feeling pretty good about the situation. The convenience of online/mobile reservations kind of rocked my socks. The following morning, I received an uninvited 'wake-up call' from Flytime at 4:45am. Not cool. If someone has the foresight to prebook a town car, they likely are the type of person who knows how to also set an alarm. Strange. Stranger still, they were already parked outside of my house - clearly worried at the lack of lights on. Wake-up call, or covering their own asses? I'll let you be the judge. But hey, at least they were there on time! It wasn't until my way out the door that I realized it was a Yellow Cab. A plain, old, dated Yellow Cab. No leather seats, no Lincoln emblems, just the same car I could wave down at Pizza Corner or call from Bob's. Suddenly, I was paying $20 more for the same fifteen minute drive from my house to the airport for absolutely no reason. I also had to give him directions.
