It was a great experience, good way to see all the iconic parts of Chicago. It is a little pricey but every seat is a good seat.

Flyover was an incredible experience. The photos really don't do it justice--it's something you have to see and feel in person. The ride is fully immersive, from the visuals to the movement and atmosphere, and it felt so real. This wasn't even on our list of attractions to go to that day. We were going to go on the ferris wheel at Navy pier and we happen to see the sign for flyover. I remembered that was on my list on my Go City app so I looked it up. It was on my list. We were able to secure a 7:30 PM slot and it was included in my Go City app, we had no idea what to expect since we had never been there before. It's sort of like soarin over California at California Disney adventure but much better and longer. We really enjoyed the attraction and it was a highlight of the trip. I suggest you try it and it takes about half hour. They have lockers that are free for 3 hours that you can put away your stuff. read more

Flyover was really interesting. Initially I wasn't too excited about it, but we got to go for free, so we tried it. We were pleasantly surprised. There's a lot of build up to the actual "flyover". A superfluous intro to Chicago, but once you get there that the actual flyover was a really cool 10-15 minute experience. You zoom around Chicago in what feels like a mild rollercoaster. Similar to "4D" movies you get a breeze and the occasional misting as you fly over a fountain or among boats. Anyway, it was neat. If you're in the city for a weekend and you're looking for something light and fun to do between activities, it's a cool way to "see" the whole city. read more

Wow!! What a fantastic experience where you are flying over downtown Chicago! It reminded me of the "Star Wars," ride experience at Disneyland where you felt completely immersed in sneaking aboard an imperial starship and forced into a light saber battle with Darth Vader. I'm returning soon to watch their "Legendary Iceland," experience on a Tuesday (with their $20 special price) booked directly on Flyover's website using promo code (20TUESDAYS) at checkout and valid through 2/25/25. Reservation times are required since the ride experience accommodates 30 persons per half hour time slot. They have an elevator for people who cannot walk up four flights of stairs into the theater. If you have pre-purchased tickets, skip the customer service desk next to their ordering kiosks on the first floor and take the escalator up to the second level where the main entrance is located. They offer free storage lockers on the second level next to the escalator for large shopping bags. Each rider's seat has a medium size storage compartment underneath to hold all your personal items including purse, small bag or backpack, jacket, hat, and gloves. read more

What a disappointment. First of all it's pricey. The ride is very short - less than 10 minutes? It's also not very racially diverse and a misrepresentation of Chicago demographics. Certain cultural groups are wayyyy overrepresented and certain cultural groups it's like they don't even exist. Definitely would pass. read more

This review is necessary! I have been at several fly over type activities all over...Washington, Disneyland, Las Vegas...this is by far the best one I've been too. I loved how it opened up with real city folks of Chicago and then incorporated them into the show. The production was crazy and incorporated so many highlights or activities of the city. This was one of the most exhilarating experiences we have had on a virtual reality ride. It even beat Disney's Soaring. The ride also gives you an overview of the different Chicago neighborhoods before you go into the theatre. That was great fun for our friends who live in Chicago. If you are not from the city, I would recommend going on a river tour before this ride because you will then recognize many of the buildings that you will see. While the ride uses the same technology as Soarin by Disney. The ride experience is not the same. This ride is much faster and experiences huge drops. I myself preferred the experince of Soarin at Disney. I like the Oh and Ah experience over the screaming experience. I like to kick back and relax and watch the visuals. Also, I tried to convince my brother to go on this and I am glad he did not because he gets motion sickness easily. Even I almost got motion sickness. I had to take a break after this one. Don't experience anything close to motion sickness on Soarin. It is not a bad ride, but when people tell you this is just like Soarin, trust me it is not. i wish it was though. read more

I went there yesterday september 22 with my young son and mother and had so much fun that we decided to ride again. After purchasing our second set of tickets we were turned away because my son was too short too ride even though they already gave him a wrist band and let him ride already. They said for safety reason he was too short to get on the ride but he had already been on it. Its shocking that my son was put in an unsafe position because of this place. They should have told me that before I even purchased our first set of tickets, not after I purchased the second set. read more

We did this experience at the end of our vacation. I think we appreciated it more at that point. Having visited the city and seeing many of these attractions from ground level. The actual movie is 9 minutes and 30 seconds. The overall time commitment is about 30 minutes.
