Wonderful place for kids. Very interactive and fun. Great way to spend a couple hours and enjoy yourself. Want to get slimed? This is your place!

Came here for a birthday party and my LO still talks about how much fun she had here. Lots of slime stations and rooms to explore but all very fun for kids age 6 and under. I would highly recommend this place for younger kiddos.

Truth be told, I wasn't too excited to visit this place. I didn't think it would be very entertaining. I mean how exciting can slime get.? I'm glad my daughter dragged me to this place kicking and screaming (to clarify, for a change I was the one kicking and screaming in protest.) Turns out slime is fun to play with at every age. Who knew? And for a change I got to play with the slime rather than peel it off my living room couch. There are dozens of big vats of slime to play with. All slimes were unique with different textures, colours and scents. There's even a section you can walk barefoot in slime (!) and a station you can get slimed with goo (while wearing protective raincoat.). As part of the experience, everyone gets to make their own slime to take home.) You get the basic slime substrate, and you add your own scent and colour). Overall a fun museum, sure to please your child (or the child in you.) Make sure you other tickets online in advance to get discounts, because admission price is rather high.

When the staff said the kids could stay here for hours they weren't playing. Me and my mini me had a ball, and lots of slime. I didn't realize there was different type of slime textures. Also, I love how they had different scents. It was like aromatherapy meets slime. At the end, we got to make our own slime, pick the texture, color and scent. This is such a cool spot to take the kids. I like that they have extracurricular activities for school aged kids, as well as they host birthday parties. I'll keep that in mind for the next time I plan to visit.

Very interactive museum. We had a good time touching, and smelling all the slime. At the end the museum we got to make our own slime. Pretty good day at the Sloomoo institute.

Took my daughter here for her 7th birthday, every paying person gets to personalize their own slime(texture, smell, color and 3 little characters). It was an amazing experience! We all loved it, and the kiddos had soooooo much fun. Lasted a good hour and a half...and the staff was so cool, happy and helpful! Super cool experience!

My 3year old daughter loved it! She had so much fun and didn't want to leave even after 2hrs. It's clean and very interactive. There isn't a lot of stuff to do other than play with slime and kinetic sand but it's enough to keep my toddler busy and not bored.

This is a very unique museum that is dedicated strictly to slime. It is the only one that I know of and is part of a small chain. I admiringly learned a lot about slime. There is metered street parking and commercial lots available within a reasonable walking distance from the museum. To give you some bearing on how much to put into the meter, I was fine with an hour and a half from entering the museum to getting in my car. It is highly recommended to reserve your time slot online prior to your arrival, as slots are limited and may sell out. Times may be priced differently depending on whether they are peak times or not. You start your tour off in a small room where they play a short video about the museum rules. After the video, you get a name tag where you write your slime name which is your name with "oo" replacing all the vowels in your name. It is your call how you want to treat the "y" if you have one in your name. Then your are given a piece of slime to place on the huge slime wall. After that you are pretty much own you own and start the self guided tour at your leisure. You will first come across a bunch of large bowls of different slimes to touch and hear, yes hear. There are many colors and textures available to touch. I would just note that many ofthe slimes stuck to my hands after touching them and took a little effort to get it off. They also have activator to help get slime off your hands as well. just off of the area with the slime is a dark room with an interactive dancing simulator called Slimey Mirror where a slime creature mirrors your dancing. You can also throw slime in the virtual environment. There is also glow in the dark slime in here. On the other side of the bowls of slime bowls is the slime sling shot which I found pretty cool. One person shots a wad of slime at another person that is standing behind a plexiglass wall with a bullseye on it. A little further down you will find a self-serve camera kiosk that takes pictures and send it to an email or phone number. There is also a slime obstalcle course which is a combination of a junior ninja course and floor is lava course, but instead of lava, its slime. You will be given the opportunity to see what slime feels on your feet in a small pit of slime that is off to the side. You can walk all over the pit and this was also pretty neat. On the back end of the museum is the slime area where for an additional cost, you are able to get slimed. There is a lot of seating in that area where spectators can sit and watch people get slimed. The people that get slimed get a plastic covering so that their clothes are not ruined. I personally found that the slime too watery and almost looked liked colored water pouring down on the participants. So, I opted to skip that add-on. The last area of the museum tour is the make your own slime portion. You will see a bunch of small bowls with different types of slime that you can feel, so that you can choose what type you want to make. I went with the cloud type slime. You pick up your slime selection from a window and then you select a fragrance for your slime I I went with the baby powder), along with the color (I got the florescent yellow) It should be noted that some colors work better which some types over others. You will then you mix it all up with your hands at the tables set up. It may stick to your hands and be a bit messy. Activator will help clean your hands. Once you have mixed your slime's color and fragrance thoroughly . You can choose up to three three charms to put in it. I did not want any charms and skipped that step. The staff here is awesome. They are very friendly and helpful. Looooroon (I assume her name is Lauren) was great with everyone making their slime. She was very helpful, informative and patient. Right before you exit the museum you will see a party room off to the side that can be rented to host birthday parties or special events. It is very nice room that is private and can hold about 25 people easily. You exit the museum through the gift shop where you can purchase pre made slime, clothing items, kinetic sand and other Sloomoo merch. My littles and I really enjoyed my visit here and i higlhly recommend checking this place out. I am so glad that I was able to make it here and I am sure that you will too.

We recently stopped by this location over the weekend for some slime fun for my kids. This was our second time going and it did not disappoint. We were greeted with friendly staff. They had some added toppers for the Halloween season. Kids have a blast, trying different kinds of slime textures and getting to make their own with their own distinct scent and color choices. They even get to add some charms if they want to. There is a slime experience which is extra to do. The last time we were here, they experienced. The kids had a blast doing it. The gift shop had lots of different choices of slime to purchase. They also had Rosh Hashanah themed slimes. That made my daughter's day. Love the inclusion. We will be back!!

Admittedly, this place is a little small for the price but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't fun! You also get to make your own slime at the end that's personalized. Everybody was so nice and friendly! Highly recommending taking your time at each station to make the most of your buck.

I was shocked at how fun and interactive the Sloomoo Institute was! I will say my husband and I did a little date day here, and we definitely felt like outliers since it is mostly families and children. Still though there are a ton of different vats of slime you could touch, and we appreciated that each one had Infograph's on how they were made/what type they were! The inside is very spacious, staff is plentiful and there to help and clean up after people/sanitize things right away. I think the best part of the whole experience was making our own slime! For two adults it took us maybe 30-40 minutes to go through it at a slower pace so factor some more time if you're bringing children!

    Smile! Snow texture.

Worth every penny! Went on a weekday with my 4 year old for her birthday and she had an amazing time, and as parents we did too! For the price you gain entry to a ton of hands-on experiences and you get to make your own customizable scented slime to take home that is full-size. Absolutely worth it. It was very clean, and there were so many different giant tubs of slime to play with so much stepping and squishing and throwing and squeezing in different sensory environments (light, dark, music, etc). I loved playing with the different textures and smelling different scents. Honestly, I think I felt so relaxed, cause I was just playing with slime the entire time myself. The employees were very chill and really nice! There was one man in particular working yesterday who really made my daughter feel special for her birthday-thank you! I would highly recommend this place as a Chicagoan for something fun to do with kids. We came home and the kids were still playing with their customized slime.

This place was fantastic! We (my 7 year old and I) had a an amazing time. The varieties of slime is impressive and they all smell wonderful. My son really enjoyed the slime sling shot and is still playing with the slime he made at the end of the visit. We went during the week around 4 and it wasn't crowded at all, which allowed us to enjoy everything at our own pace. It is very clean and they make everyone use hand wipes prior to entering, which put me at ease. Overall, SlooMoo is a great time and I recommend it to anyone with or without kids.

I'm from Houston, Texas and didn't like how we had to pay a non-residential entrance fee, which is more expensive. I feel like there should only be one flat fee. Also, the ticket price is so expensive, especially since we have to pay for the children AND adults. I mean, it's a children's museum so the adults HAVE to be there to accompany them. It's not like the adults come to play on their own. We come to play with the child. I just feel like adults should be free, or at least only pay like $5. On a normal day, it would not be reasonable to come here. I did see that they are hosting a Family Day when tickets are about $5 a person; that is an amazing deal and is so worth it. The hours are so short! We came on Thursday when the hours are 10-2pm. We came in at 11:30pm and I felt like we didn't have enough time! My boys wanted to play more; I wish we had come in earlier. So if you plan on going, I recommend going at 10am when they open, especially if you're going to pay full price. I didn't like how the hours are short and when it came to closing time, stations were shutting down early. At 1:45pm, the Cloud Buster exhibit was closed, which was disappointing because my boys wanted to go in there. A lot can happen in 15 minutes, so I didn't like that. The staff were all incredibly nice, sweet, and patient, though! They all kept their cool and were great at encouraging my boys, especially when climbing the Schooner. The museum reminds me of Montessori school, where it teaches independent play and discovery. I wish it included some facts and interactive play that reinforces the subject, like at a science museum. Overall, my two boys had a blast. They really enjoyed the "Play It Safe" and "Water City" exhibits. My favorite was Michael's Museum. I appreciated all the small messages of advice and reminders for parents in all play areas. It encouraged us and helped us understand the reasoning behind how children play or the purpose of the activity. From a child's perspective, this place is AMAZING, so I'm glad my boys enjoyed it.

Last time I was here I was amused to see the grocery store was a Whole Foods and the sandwich shop was a Potbelly's, but I guess those sponsorships have expired and everything's kind of generic now. Kids won't care but I thought it was fun. The main draw of this place is the sheer amount of variety they have. Kids can play with toy cars, instruments, water, trains. They can paint, build things, read. They can pretend to be a vet, build a house, grocery shop, run a sandwich shop (oh I guess I mentioned those). There's a whole bunch of little science-y things, and some areas that rotate periodically. Toddlers and young kiddos have a blast, but I feel it'd be hard to keep older kids engaged. It also feels pretty pricy, especially charging parents, though I didn't know you could save a couple bucks buying online ahead of time.
