Alejandro is such a nice guy and we talked about us just coming back from Madrid and he took the time to share his travel stories as well. Servers here are attentive. Back to the food, it wasnt a disaster but very boring and one dimensional. Like you could whip this stuff up in a few minutes at home. The shrimp was overcooked. The guacamole on the bread was grocery store ooze. On top of it all the prices are outrageous. We had the churros as well and they were way undercooked. We saw other people recieve theirs and one table sent theirs back. They weren't fried golden brown. They were mushy. The actual restaurant is nice. Beautiful tiles and decor that reminded us of Madrid. I wouldn't come for a meal here, maybe just coffee since its a cafe.. but I hear people are being turned away if you just order a coffee and sit down.

The patatas bravas were elevated by dipping them in the sauce from the shrimp. The restaurant had very nice interior decor. The tables were quite cramped. The servers could be a bit more attentive as we waited a while to get our bill.

The decoration is very nice and makes you feel at home. I would love to sit here all day and enjoy a hot coffee with my muffin. The muffin menu includes seasonal flavors and classic ones. Muffins come in regular and mini sizes. Vegan and keto options are also available. Right amount of sugar is added to the muffins and scones, which is not something you can find in most places. It's more delicious and healthy. You can also buy prepackaged frozen muffins to take home and eat whenever. I loved the Blueberry scones, not amount of sweetness for me. The classic flavors were delicious, but a few flavors that were unique here were "Pear & Fig" and "Morning Glory". Both are must-try flavors and I would definitely recommend them.

We saw that there were patrons in there and that the sign was still flipped to open. When we walked in, we got strange stares from all three staff members that were working there. When we got to the register we saw that there were was a leaflet about their participation in the Kids Fest event. Kids could come by and claim a sticker for visiting the business. I guess that's why they were open late. They still had muffins for sale so I ordered a carrot one to go. I found it to be pretty dry and tasteless. Had to fight to get through most of it. I'm thinking that it might be because it was more of an end of day muffin. Not a great experience here.

It took about 25 minutes for them to make my food so if you're in a hurry do let them know. I ordered the halloumi sandwich and the mama shawarma plate The halloumi sandwich was perfectly soft and chewy just like really halloumi cheese even though it's vegan and made from tofu! They had recommended I order it and I am glad I did because it didn't stand out to me initially on the menu. The condiments in the sandwich went really well as well. I do highly recommend ordering this! The mama shawarma plate will satisfy any shawarma craving, of course while being plant based. The soy curls were perfectly seasoned and tender. The lentil rice went perfectly well with the soy curls and the sauce. The salad was tasty with vegan feta cheese. I highly recommend ordering this if you are a first timer. I had also wanted to order the cauliflower bites but they mentioned it was going to take too long to make since they had to make it from fresh so I often not to since I was in a hurry. I will definitely come back and order it next time. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you can order a few dishes to share!

Luckily I have a special lady friend who is also pretty killer at finding decent locations to eat and she brought me here. This is a very cozy but elegant cafe style restaurant. Orders are placed at the counter and then brought to you. While small there is definitely attention to detail in the decor (I just love the table patterns). My recommendation is to scope out the menu before you go but in all honesty you likely can not go wrong with any of your orders. Plus the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the meals. With meals that leave you full and prices that won't break the bank if you happen to find yourself in Oakville (or live there) and want some great vegan dishes this is definitely a must visit.
