Absolutely love coming here! The hot chocolate is to DIE for, with the perfect ratio of smooth belgian chocolate to milk. We have yet to try their ice cream and gelato, but we will get there as we've made it our mission to come at least once a week for a treat and walk by the water. We've spoken to the owner who plays a big role in operations and can usually be found helping customers and/or telling them about their product offerings. I love that he takes time to get to know his clientele but also helps staff out. It is getting popular though, so expect line-ups on weekend evenings - especially when the weather is nice out. read more

Absolutely disgusting. We came in here on June 27th. The garbages were overfilling with thrown out ice cream cups. The washroom was so dirty I lost my appetite after trying to use it before ordering. Got some chocolate here and a dulce de leche hot chocolate. The "hot chocolate" was just steamed milk with barely any flavour. What a disappointment, I threw it out. The chocolate I bought both looked and tasted expired, even though the packaging said it wasn't expired. Idk how that happened but it's so bad no one in my family wants to eat it. Chocolato tommy cafe opened up recently in downtown oakville and it's safe to say it's one of my favourite coffee spots here! Interior: The interior is beautiful and modern. They allowed indoor seating and had 2 tables opened when I visited. Everyone was socially distanced and i felt safe ordering my coffee. Hot chocolate: I ordered a 70 percent hot chocolate in a medium size. The cup was pretty big for a medium sized coffee. However, i did find it not as dark as I would have liked it. I want to make it clear that this is completely personal preference because I like dark chocolate! The drink was very good itself and doesn't taste like it was made out of a powder like other coffee stores! 8.5 Cortado: I had my cortado with oat milk. I throughly enjoyed this drink. It was creamy and strong 10/10 Overall i had a great experience there. It wasn't my first time as I have been to the store a couple of times for tea. The only reason i couldn't give it a 5 star was because i had tried to order the cortado twice prior to this visit but both times, they were out of espresso, so i got tea. This is my first time having their hot chocolate and i do really like it. Would recommend. read more

Came in right before closing for some artisanal gelato. They have an extensive menu of over the top sundaes, chocolate pizza, and all kinds of waffles, which I look forward to trying in the future. The place is really cute on the inside, well lit, with fun interior. I ordered the salted caramel gelato and the hazelnut chocolate gelato. The hazelnut chocolate was delicious: creamy, chocolatey, and decadent, like a light Ferraro Roche. However, the salt caramel was a disappointment (hence my rating). It tasted more like bland vanilla, not enough caramel, or salt for that matter. Overall would recommend this place for ice cream, and I look forward to trying their other sweet creations. read more

Terrible coffee Asked for a cappuccino and got a latte. Server really just want to use all the milk that she put in to froth. No relations to how much espresso was made. So I had a terrible latte with extra milk as I couldn't even taste the espresso. If this Tommy is affiliated with the lovely Tommy cafe in Montreal.... It surely is a disgrace. Going back to Tribeca, Second Cup, Starbucks. No need to come here for a fancy coffee. read more

Wow, this place is great! Chocolate, ice cream, cakes, waffles, chocolate pizzas, etc. I went during the Yelp elite event. I was given 2 hot chocolates made "Royal" with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and a marshmallow. They allowed me to choose a non dairy milk (almond, coconut, oat or macadamia nut milk) so I chose 2 coconut milk hot chocolates. One was hazelnut and the other dulce de lecce. There were like 16 different options!! All the flavours have dairy so you will not get a totally dairy free hot chocolate....just less dairy with a plant based milk. I suggested they offer a dairy free whipped cream to make it an even lass dairy option. The drink was so sweet and I could not finish the small. My younger son and his friends would love it. My older son had a cookies and cream hot chocolate with macadamia nut milk....no toppings. He enjoyed it. The staff were amazingly friendly and super helpful. They were set up for distancing when ordering and their limited seating was very spaced out. If you like chocolate and sweets....this place is for you!! This place serves fantastic hot chocolate. We visited them last year because of a Yelp event and have been visiting them from Brampton every couple of months. They don't serve your average runny carnation type hot chocolate. It is much thicker, flavourful and very less sweet. They have lots of different flavours to try. Chocolato is great for an end of the day dessert of ice cream that uses actually chocolate that is poured onto your ice-cream in front of you! The gelato is pretty standard but their Sundae Royal's are jam packed with toppings and great for a mix of flavours that go well with each other, we had the Mokaccino which was pretty good with a strong coffee flavour! The staff were a bit out of it and seemed like they didn't want to be there and the tables were a bit dirty so we took our ice cream to eat elsewhere! read more

This new spot just opened downtown Oakville and after seeing it on Instagram, I had to check it out. This new cafe has an adorable and bright interior. It seems there are two brands combined in one store: Chocolato and Tommy cafe. The hot chocolates look amazing online! But I wanted to stay on the straight and narrow and go for an Almond Milk Latte. As someone who is currently watching added sugars, I was thrilled to see that they were offering unsweetened Almond Milk! It was tasty, and the coffee did the trick. Price is comparable to Starbucks. I think next time I visit I would try a hot chocolate with an intricate topping & possibly try some of their brunch menu items as well. My friend and I definitely arrived at the right time, as there was a line out the door by the time we got our coffees. As with any place these days, it was certainly and "in and out" type of experience, but the staff was eager, friendly, and the service was fast! They seemed to have a lot of staff on duty so I wonder if that will remain or if it's just for opening week :). I hope this new place does well downtown and that we will soon be able to fully enjoy the interior and atmosphere! read more

We travelled over an hour excited to come to this cafe . On the menu they show that they have fresh juice and when I asked for it they didn't have any. We also got 2 capresse sandwiches ..... the most disgraceful cappresse sandwiches we have ever had in our life. not only did we wait 25 minutes just for these 2 sandwiches , they were NOT worth 11 dollars each. that's striaght up robbery for this. 2 slices of regular plain toast bread that was soggy, and stale . and cold . Don't recommend coming here for food . Desserts on the other hand looked very good . read more
