Full disclosure: I did not use their service -- I called them several times on behalf of a friend. "SHADY" is the best word I can use to describe this company. They drove my friend to work just over 2 miles, about 8-10 minutes (not to mention being late and getting the address wrong,) and charged her $55 plus tax, fuel surcharge and a "surface transportation charge" (the $55 wasn't for surface transportation?). They claimed that they no longer operate Mahwah Taxi and that they are now solely a limo company, "Flyte Tyme Transportation". Yet their front door says "Mahwah Taxi" and the phone/address listing for both companies is identical; nobody on the phone said anything about a limo. They also claim an ordinary Lincoln Town Car = limo. Even if it was a limo -- $85.10 for a 2-mile, 8 minute ride, 5 minutes from the car company office?? That's more than double per mile what my boss pays from Westchester to JFK airport, including taxes. I was extremely polite on the phone yet almost all their representatives were dismissive and rude, probably ground down from working for a guy who is so shady! -- save yourself a headache and stay away. -EDIT: Mr. Johnny J., the other reviewer, seems to have uploaded this company's promotional photos to Yelp also. Flyte Tyme Worldwide Transportation - Flyte Tyme Mahwah Taxi - Limos Near Me - Mahwah, New Jersey

One car service was ordered through my company's travel agent to pick me up from my home in Jersey City on Dec 2 @7AM to LGA airport. Flight departure time was 9:15AM. I couldn't find any car outside of my building therefore made 3 phone calls trying to locate the car at 7:09am; 7:11am and 7:23am (phone bill log proves this). No one picked up the calls. I then had to take my luggage to Path and then took a cab from Manhattan. Since there is no chance to get a cab on the street in Jersey City @7am, The company ended up charging me claiming it was me "no show" with some letter stating "...the driver got on site at 6:27am and waited until 7:43am" before calling the dispatcher. I found this is being a joke that the driver would wait from 6:27am till 7:43am (1 hour 16 minutes) to reach out to dispatcher to find out where the passenger was?? I disputed again and the company issued another letter saying more ridiculous thing "The driver called in at 7:48pm to advise that he saw the passenger exit the building and took a cab immediately". Are you kidding me?? How would the drive know who the passenger was? And why would a passenger do such thing if there is already a car waiting? I disputed for the third time and this time, the email from them said "...After "careful review" (ANOTHER JOKE?), we regret to inform you that the charges are legitimate and within our Service Level Agreement. Therefore we are unable to waive the charges. The decision of management is final and our staff has been informed to take no further action." Call up to this Mark guy and he of course simply hung up on me. The company is so full of lies and being completely irresponsible! SHADY IS INDEED THE RIGHT WORD. Be warned!!! read more

What can be said about this comapny? The service is usually good, but that credit goes to the drivers who kill themselves for the clients. The driver fleet is not 300 or whatever is quoted, rather it's made up of about 15 veterans, and about 30 or 40 people who started last week (any given week). Whys that the case? The company itself is abysmal, they pay the drivers less than minimum wage and charge the clients a fortune. When you ride with this company keep in mind they are charging you 200 for that ride to JFK, they're giving the driver about 9 dollars. Also that driver has been driving 12 to 14 hours for 6 consecutive days to try to make ends meet. Does anyone want someone who is tired, overworked, and underpaid driving them somewhere? Capitalism is great, and I would never talk anyone down for taking a profit, but this place is ridiculous. Their practices are not only greed fueled, they are also dangerous. read more

I wish I could give these people zero stars especially after reading all the other reviews. My coworker from the UK was in town and called for a 4pm pickup from our office to JFK. She called me after 15 minutes of waiting outside the office to ask me to call Flyte Tyme and check on the driver's status. The operator I spoke with promptly put me on hold for 15 minutes. The car finally arrived, 45 minutes late. In what universe is this acceptable? She nearly missed her international flight. At the very least, if you're running late, have the common courtesy and good business sense to CALL YOUR CUSTOMER and inform them. read more

The driver insisted on taking his own route which was much longer and inaccurate. He was rude when we suggested an easier, more direct route. As a result he drove dangerously fast. When we wanted to listen to the radio, he lowered it so he could talk constantly. When he learned I was paying in cash, he increased the bill and said gratuity was not included. When booking, the people on the phone are rude. One star is more than is deserved. read more

I booked thru our corporate travel department a while back. Went online to see the driver, get info etc. I downloaded the app. I couldn't check my reservation because they never sent me the confirmation email to set up my account. I cancelled my reservation and went with another company. I won't use them again. Their app and internet site stinks. Tried to email them but kept getting errors. They really need to rethink their approach. Nasty company. read more

Really expensive and not worth it. Driver pick-up at airport wasn't inside at baggage claim as I was told. I called several times and he didn't answer. I walked back and forth between the outside pickup and the baggage claim...nobody. I was about to call uber or take a cab, when he finally called back. What makes it worse is that he lied about being at baggage claim. And then I had to walk the length of the parking garage to get into the car. Then on the return pickup that guy didn't notify me he was there, and I was waiting 20 minutes when I called and he was parked back in my company parking lot just sitting there. This one was nice enough, but tried to tell me they had text me when he got there, and I showed him my phone showing him no text. Needless to say, never again. read more

We used them on a recent trip for pick up and drop off. They sent an email the day before to remind of details. Driver was on time despite our home being hard to find and not correct on gps. Trip was pleasant and fast. Pickup was same we just had to call with door number he was right there and got us home. Like that tip etc all included in one price. Just has to sign and go. Was recommended by people who use them frequently and are not likely to review which is why I think it it may be skewed to the low here. read more

I agree with reviewer ZE's comments. I've used Flyte Tyme several times, as my company uses their service. We are privy to employee discounts, as long as you use our corporate code, and have a valid company email address. The last three times I've booked a car, to and from New York City airports from Manhattan, I've given the people at reservations my name, company code, and company email address, and all three times have been told that I would be billed at the discounted corporate rate. When I checked my credit card statement several days later, I was billed substantially higher, at the regular rate. Frankly, I think these tactics are "shady." Once, okay, we'll give it a pass, but the last three times I've booked with this company, I've been over charged. Each time I've disputed the charge and asked the representative to check the phone recordings, which they claim to have. I did not appreciate the attitude from said representatives, and although the funds were credited back to my account, it's a genuine hassle. I will not be using Flyte Tyme's service anymore. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars! I have been using them because they are one of the two car services my company engages for business travels. Over the last few months, their service has been sporadic. Very often the driver would show up 10 minutes late or choose not to come inside for airport pickup. Today was the last straw. I booked a car for 6pm pick up to go to NYC. Had to be there at 7:30pm. So I figured 90 minutes should overcome bad traffic. At 6pm, I got a call from them. I thought it was my driver, so I said I was coming down. No, no, no! The next thing I heard was your driver will be there at 7pm. I was like, excuse me? Did I hear it wrong? The guy was like your driver will be there at 7pm. I can't do anything... You driver will be there at 7pm. I called the dispatch. He simply cancelled my reservation. I was lucky that I had a Uber account! So the Uber car arrived in no time. Now I am on my way to the city! So my advice, stay far far away from this irresponsible car service. Can you imagine if I had to catch an international flight? I am going to see if I can find the person who is in charge of the relationship and I will sure to tell the person what happened. By the way, when I was in my company's lobby, I was told by the security guard that this happened a lot with Flyte Tyme. read more

The way in which I was treated while working for Addison Lee during the Christmas holiday was despicable. Where's the honesty? I will NEVER recommend their services. I am a recent college graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Communication, I have an impeccable reputation, hard-working, punctual and congenial. Addison Lee lied about the potential of growth opportunity. My integrity as well as the pride I take in my work performance would never allow me to continue working for an establishment with such bad intentions, especially after reading all the HORRIBLE reviews from your customers. read more

Reliable, expert transportation is what we expected. We booked long in advance using our corporate preferred provider. Expectations far from met. First, we called because our flight landed early. We were told their driver was there already. After the third call we discovered the driver was at the wrong terminal. We directed him to where we were standing with 7 big bags and two kids since we were moving back from abroad. After three more calls we realise he is waiting in the departures area!! During the drive he got lost getting onto the highway for 15 minutes. All told we waited 90 minutes for a driver that was at the airport. This caused us to miss two appointments at our destinations. read more

Nearly missed my flight because the driver was 30 minutes late (I ended up grabbing a cab instead). Tried this out because they were on my company's approved list. I was a little hesitant because they were a fair bit cheaper than the other options. I now understand why. On the bright side they agreed not to charge me. read more

Things must have changed at Flyte Tyme. Driver was on time for both ways on my trip and he knew where he was going. I am new to the area and am very happy with the service. This is my company's preferred carrier and I will stay with them until there is a problem. I use Yelp all the time and was very worried when I read the other reviews, and was surprised by overall good service. read more
