What a beautiful spot for enjoying the views of Bergen. The tram was very easy to navigate. The frequency was about 10 minutes per tram, and it served 90 people each time. Once you got on top, the scenery was breathtaking. The place was huge, with lots of activities and exhibits. Too bad my tour did not have enough time to explore everything. There was a restaurant. The gift shop was well stocked and organized, and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend! read more

A true gem and a relative bargain compared to other Bergen experiences. A quick ride to the top of the mountain and your well above the city and can see miles around with incredible views of the city, fjords, and mountains. A wonderful troll garden, hikes, ice cream shop, and a lake are at your footsteps. My family all enjoyed the experience - mainly the views. With limited time in Bergen, I wasn't sure I wanted to spend our last hours in Floyen utsikpunkt, but my brother-in-law/guide insisted. What a treat! Spectacular views and friendly goats. Crowded, but worth it! My teens enjoyed our time there. Had they been younger, no doubt this would have been their favorite stop on our vacation. read more

If you're lucky, there won't be a lot of annoying tourists around and you'll be able to enjoy the views with minimal interference from swinging selfie sticks and screaming children. I went in April (around 18:00), and not only was the ride up quite peaceful and enjoyable, but once atop the mountain, the views were spectacular and the tourists were not overwhelming in the slightest. No pushing or shoving for the perfect photo spot. The views are amazing. Photos don't really do it justice, you have to go for yourself. Pack smart! There's significantly more wind up there! Beautiful view on top of the mountain overlooking Bergen. It's a 1 hour hike that has a moderate incline, but doable by everyone taking it slow. You can also take the funicular up and down as well! There's a cafe and a restaurant on top of the mountain. Bergen can be quite cloudy at times though so it may be difficult to see down or to see the sunset, which we tried but failed to do due to the clouds. However it was still a beautiful view! read more

It's a well designed public park. Lots of many things to do. Definitely worth a visit if you're a tourist. In fact, it should be one of the tope of your list. Awesome viewing area of Bergen below. This park is at the top of a hill and you can get there using the funicular or you can hike up there. When I say hike, I mean walk along residential streets on the way up the hill towards the park. Stuff to do and see on top: troll garden, playground, small outdoor theater, cafe, a treehouse for rent, goats (I kid you not). read more

Great views of Bergen. Quick ride up to the top. Cafe at the top is nice and the bathrooms were clean. The little store at the top was cute but nothing you can't buy in town if you don't want to carry stuff around. The goats are really friendly and don't mind sharing their shelter should it start down pouring or hailing. The little troll walk was cute and fun as well. read more

Love this place with amazing views. Bergen was the third stop of our Holland America cruise and it is the second largest city in Norway. This place was definitely recommended by everyone to go see. Most tourist took the tram up the hill. When we got to the ticket center, there was a massive line up just to purchase tickets. We decided to take the walk up. Took us like an hour to get up and I'm glad we walked. Heard people saying they waited an hour for the tram. Also we saved around 12 bucks per person walking and got an exercise in. I think most of the locals walked and the tram is definitely filled with tourist. If your feeling lazy spend the money and take the tram, definitely no judgement here. You can see the whole city from here. We could also see our cruise ship. There is also a souvenir store and my wife bought a Norwegian jacket. Pretty nice looking. Make sure to save your receipt because you can get the tax back on your cruise. There is also some free bathrooms to use up here so that was a plus. Most places you got to pay. Also there's a hot dog place, an ice cream place and a restaurant. Didn't try them so I don't know how they taste. There is also a playground filled with many local kids playing. Such a nice family place to take your kids. Wonderful views and good vibes. read more

Excellent park, hiking trail, scenic point, fresh air! This is a must! Photo op everywhere. Troll Forest. There is a nice park for the kids, zipline, jungle gym obstacle, picnic tables/chairs. Go hike or take the Floibanen funicular, of course :) read more

This place is so much fun. Hiking around, the Troll park, and food. We had a great time here. Walking paths large enough for strollers. Exercising, be it running or walking, there are miles of them and hills. Not to mention the views of Bergen! read more

Views for DAYS. A friendly, festive atmosphere quite different from most tourist sites (certainly most tourist sites in amurriKKKa, sigh) and a great place to hike as well. The troll farm is hilarious and the trails *beautiful*...The funicular ride is marvelous if you're at the front of the first car (hard to manage) and the walk up from the bottom rather steep--perhaps ride up and walk down. Tickets may be bought online; the lines weren't that long when I was there. The little souvenir shop, while expensive, has some quality things and is worth a look. As Steve S says the nature is the highlight (and the views); the playgrounds are miraculous if you have kids, and the canoeing said to be lovely though I didn't get to do that. read more

The best thing we did in Bergen by far. The funicular is just the beginning of this fantastic area. There is hiking, walk paths, canoeing, and multiple playgrounds for the kids. These playgrounds are so different than ones in USA. You can spend all day hiking around and having fun. There are maps at the top that outline the hikes. The signage isn't the best along the hikes. They even installed a zip line for kids. Floyen is promoted for the train, but the nature really is the highlight. read more
