If you want your hair cut professionally and by by a stylist who is passionate about what she does and where you're not expected to pay extortionate prices, then Hair'em Scare'em is the place!

I was uncomfortable the whole time I was there and couldn't wait to leave to be honest. The man who did my nails also tutted and got annoyed at me after asking me to move my hand and he didn't even tell me which direction he wanted me to move it in. Having recently moved to Exeter from Canada, I was desperately searching for a fabulous new salon that could offer a fantastic hair cut, natural-looking highlights, and warm customer service. Well, I am here to tell you that M Harvey offered all of that and more. I booked an appointment already feeling fairly confident because of the glowing reviews on Qype. My expectations were exceeded, however, from the moment I stepped into the salon. I was delighted to be paired with Kylee a wonderfully kind, bubbly and VERY talented hair stylist who just happens to be Canadian, too. She gave me a superb cut and my highlights are top-notch! I am 100% thrilled with her work. Kylee is the kind of person with whom you feel instantly at ease. While she is young, she is also extremely experienced. I am very picky with my hair (as I am sure most women are) and she delivered exactly what I wanted: flawless, natural highlights that go to the root, and a beautiful trim. She wasn't scissor happy and she offered her professional opinion about what colours to use in a very warm manner. She suggested the use of three different blonde tones, and what a difference it made to my hair! I also appreciated that my appointment time was mine alone. She didn't go between clients, and she made sure to listen to what I wanted. Martin, the owner of the salon, was also very sweet; he came over to offer me magazines and to ensure that I was comfortable and welcome. I can see how he has developed such a wonderful reputation, as he is clearly a lovely person. It is clear that Martin has invested much time and thought into creating a relaxing experience in a beautiful location on the Quay. M Harvey's receptionist, Karen, was also very kind. I appreciated that she made sure to instruct me how to use the correct products to prolong my Awapuhi treatment. (*The treatment is FAB by the way! I highly recommend it to add softness, shine and manageability to your hair. What a treat!) I never thought I would ever write such an exhaustive review of anything, but I can assure you that my experience at M Harvey Hair merits the time I have taken to write one.
