If I could give negative stars, I would. Horrible service. Walked in, got approached by a woman going "what do you want?" And then i told her I just wanted to get my jewelry tightened and she walked away. No "stay here" "one second" NOTHING. Like am I supposed to follow you? Said we have to wait 10 Mins until Kelsey (the piercer) comes back. I go "why wait, if you can do it now, can I just do it now?" And then she took me. Kelsey walked in. I recognize her from a woman I passed on the sidewalk smoking while shopping at passport to Peru. Kelsey guided back to her corner after she made me wait so she could change her outfit (kept her crocs on tho). And tightened my $400 jewelry and ruined it. I left bleeding and in pain. She used pliers too big (I stated I needed needle nose pliers) and had grease on them. I was in incredible pain from her unprofessionalism. THEN she charged me $10 for less than 10 mins of her time!! I have traveled all over the world and been pierced there. I have NEVER had been charged for just tightening jewelry!!! I asked if she had change, she stated no but can cashapp me - what professional has cashapp but no change? She complained how it didn't snap, I explained it was custom made high end jewelry that didn't snap, just touched. I also asked if it was the right gauge, and she said "no, it just not clasping" and that sounded weird so I further clarified about the gauge and she didn't say anything about the size. She basically acted like she didn't even notice the right size do gauging! She tried to convince me to buy jewlery from her (bc she needed a clasp and complained abt it), I said no, and she said I can just buy it on Amazon because that's what she does. I recognize the box on her stand and it's a VERY cheap Amazon brand. None of her stuff is professional. Cleaned myself up and went on with my day, came home and showered and my ear is bruised from her and I have a mark on my ear. I changed out the jewelry she "fixed" bc she misshaped my own jewelry. Contacted my jeweler back home, they stated that her manhandling the jewelry with unclean and too big pliers ruined the shape of the jewlery, most piercers don't charge for just tightening pieces, and that this behavior is abnormal and unprofessional. Plus, no AC in 85 degree weather today. So it was well over 90 in the studio. Imagine getting tattooed in an unprofessional and HOT environment. Also, there were people sprawled all over the couches sleeping! Overall, Kelsey: 1) made me bleed from a fully healed pericing 2) charged me $10 just to close the piercing in less than 10 min(incorrectly) 3) broke my $400 jewelry. 4) unprofessional by calling me "babe" 5) works in an unprofessional and frankly unsanitary (from the sweat, heat, and people sleeping on furniture) shop. Would NEVER recommend! On top of that, I called over a month ago because I needed help removing the jewelry for an MRI. I wanted them to just remove and the insert them later in the day (I would pay for convenience like that) and when I called at 3 pm, the person who answered the phone said the pericing wasn't in and she would call back (she wasn't in at 3pm when the shop opens at 1?) and she NEVER called me. So I was SOL for my MRI help. I also filled out the form on the website, but the website was horrible and I wasn't able to submit the actual message. I stated that on the phone to the person, and they went "oh that's weird. I went to check today, it's still not working. Horrible horrible. Now I'm down $410 from less than a 10 min interaction. How this place is even having revenue is beyond me. read more

Can't speak for the tattoos but the lady who changed my piercing did an awful job and was very unprofessional. I had a piercing for about 9 months at the time and came in to get it changed by a professional. I left crying and bleeding. She also used terrible metal and it was sooo irritated and had the biggest bump. I left it in for ~3 months hoping it would get better. As soon as I changed it out again back to surgical steel, the irritation went away overnight. Run away!!! read more

I got the 5 symbols (air, water, earth, fire, spirit) tattooed on my upper left arm, and the artist (?) took FOREVER to do these simple pieces. And he was late for our scheduled appointment, to begin with. I admit that I was somewhat uncertain about the colours to use, but he didn't make any suggestions either. He also made some slightly offensive comments, and had a magnet of the orange cretin on his tattoo equipment stand. Wish I'd seen that at first! I frankly couldn't wait to get finished - I was there about 2.25 hours. The tattoos were faded upon healing, and I have since gone to another shop and had an EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL re-do all the work. read more

Not so sure about the name. Noah was not so Focused as he compose my stencil. I had written up what I wanted and I have to admit I am surprised that there is not a check and balance system to prevent mistakes. When we realized the mistake there was nothing to do but finish the tattoo. I was sure this had happened before and he would have a way to fix it. Long story short. I waited for Noah to contact me with ideas of fixes. He had my contact information. Nothing. I came up with an idea. I return to the shop. My idea wasn't going to work. Noah again said he was going to work on fixes. Again, he had both my email and phone number and again I heard nothing. I have so far spent 300.00 on Laser removal in an attempt to make this right. I am less upset about the original mistake (although there did seem to be more interaction among the various 'artists' than actually 'focusing') then I am about the lack of follow through from Noah. I am very disappointed. I am not one of these young adults that like to be pawned off, taken for granted, or like to be treated like crap. I am not a baller so my tattoos don't matter. I asked for a specific tattoo artist, and I've been serviced by several in that shop including him . Love my tattoos, but this time I am extremely perturbed at the lack of consideration for my time, and my little money. I specifically spoke with the artist, and I thought he was cool. I get there at 1:30 because he said they open at 1:00. I arrive they tell me he's not there yet. So I waited. Two o'clock hits, and the sweet young lady asks me what I was getting done, and I start to tell her then I say it doesn't matter because he said he would do it. She then says I don't know why he told you 1pm because he doesn't come until freaking 3. I say ok I'll just do some errands, and come back. She even took my number, and claimed she would call me when he arrives because they texted him and he hasn't responded. I texted, as well, and he ignored me to. I come back, but I stay in the parking lot, and called. They tell me he's not there, and it's freaking 4:30. I left, and still haven't received a phone call. Went here to get a cartilage piercing in mid October and 3 months later, my piercing is no where close to healed. Even though I've followed all the cleaning protocol, I still have a piercing bump, which is probably never going away. Should've researched piercing more before but since the piercer seemed educated on his craft, I felt safe getting a piercer here. Let me just say, that is absolutely not the case. The jewelry they use here is absolute garbage. It's surgical steel, and after taking it out, I realized it's externally threaded, which you never want in a fresh piercing. Save your money for an APP member and don't make the same mistake I did. read more

Had a great experience getting my 2nd and 3rd lobe piercing here. I got unevenly spaced piercings from a mall piercer on one ear and was paranoid about getting them re-pierced. The piercer here made me feel completely comfortable and really took the time to make sure the piercings were perfectly placed. The price was pretty affordable as well. I went here a few days ago to do a piercing with my roommate and when I walked in, NO ONE was wearing a mask. I don't know about anyone else, but that made me extremely uncomfortable and it has me questioning their other safety and cleanliness habits. Even when my friend was getting her tattoo, the artist did not have his mask on all the way. Overall, the experience was fine, but I felt EXTREMELY unsafe when COVID is this bad in Cleveland, it basically feels like a breeding ground for it. read more

I hate the girl in Focused Tattoos. I was nice to her, asked her how her day was as she gave me my first tattoo and she spoke very little, I thought okay maybe she's just a quiet person. When I tipped her after I got my tattoo from the bitch though I asked her if $20 was enough because I was 18 at the time and not made of fuckin money and she said "It's better than nothing." Yeah $20 is better than nothing because what I should've given you, nothing. Their service is absolutely fucking horrible, the workers hangout there more than they work, I know numerous people who have gone their and they all have had bad experience. Walked into Focused Tattoos yesterday with a couple tattoo ideas in mind, I was greeted when I walked in, everyone was nice and the place has a nice upscale tattoo shop interior. Almost a hidden gem you walk into the building to get buzzed in, with a short walk upstairs you are in, I believe their preference is walk ins with the option to schedule an appointment. I got my tattoos done by Noah Astrup, super cool guy, took a good amount of time sketching out the designs(something that is a plus, If I'm going in to get a tattoo I want someone to care about the piece just as much as I do) I got a couple tattoos done I appreciate the time Noah put into them as they were medium sized tattoos but he suggested a few extra things to be done to them,I took his recommendations and I am very satisfied with the finished products, many people have since complimented on the quality of the tattoos, I know I'll be back for more and to get a few fixed, I would also suggest to anyone in the area if you are looking to get tattoos, GO TO FOCUSED!you will appreciate the quality these artists strive for, if you are looking for a particular artist I would suggest Noah he takes his time with his work and only puts out quality! read more

My sister had originally gotten a tattoo done by Donny awhile back and just come back in to ask for a touch up. When she asked Donny for the touch up, he was extremely rude and insisted that the tattoo did not need a touch up, despite half of it was clearly fading. He responded by saying "I guess I can do that for you" in a very reluctant attitude. It was a very uncomfortable situation to say the least. He then scheduled an appointment for my sister to come back in two weeks for the touch up. On the day of the appointment, my sister shows up to the tattoo shop and waits for 20 minutes before asking if Donny was there. Donny was not at the shop and a co-worker confirmed that he was not coming in today. There was no communication whatsoever for why Donny blew off my sisters appointment. Went to get a small tattoo with a group of eight people. All tattoos used the exact same stencil and every single one came out looking VERY different. Mine, once healed about a week later, was easy to see that it had many spots that ink never even touched. It also peeled off (with barely any ink left showing) within that week. I was highly unsatisfied but was told I could come back in for a free retouch. This made me feel better until I wasted my time driving there again, for the appointment we scheduled over the phone, and was told that I had to have the same guy redo the tattoo or I would have to repay for it. That guy also was not even there and they said they didn't know when he would be back next. Why would I want the same guy who already messed up once to do it again? I ended up going somewhere else to have it fixed for a better price, better environment and better workers. Don't recommend!! read more

After moving to Cleveland Heights from the West side, I was looking for a closer place than where I'd been going for tattoos in Brooklyn. I'd heard positive things from a couple of friends who got tattoos at Focused a while back, so I decided to get a couple of tattoos I've been wanting to get for a long time there. I called on 3 different occasions within a month to set up an appointment and on all three occasions (even though I talked to three different people), they told me they weren't sure what the artists' schedules looked like, took down my information, and told me they'd call me back. I never got any calls back. Each time I spoke with them, I was put on hold mid-sentence and would hear the person I was on the phone with having an unrelated conversation with someone else in the background; twice asking someone where so-and-so is and why they aren't at the shop. I really wanted to give them a chance because I also thought the work posted on their website looked great, but after 3 tries with no response and generally poor customer service, I will be taking my canvas elsewhere. read more
