She also knows how to challenge me to expand my ability to give my best and most authentic performances. I've been working with her throughout the past 5 years and she's been a wonderful mentor and acting coach I can rely on. She has been offering zoom scene study classes, audition preparation, and audition reading, which have been extremely valuable in the most recent years. Her own personal success and experience as a working actor is also a nice bonus in my confidence of having her on my team in my own success! I highly recommend Alyson and the Actor's Cartel.

I had no idea what I was doing and really zero confidence that I could do any kind of acting at all. But the more we did in class and the more Alyson explained that acting is about connection, about giving the person you're opposite something to work with--about being generous--it gave me something to hold onto. It's made me a far better writer, no question, but I'm also now working on acting as an art, as a potential performer myself. Under Alyson's guidance, acting has become this experience of single moments, about being 100% present, about working together with someone else to try to get at the truth of that one moment. And that feels like something I can do. Or at least try to do.

There was an interactive class (my son doesn't stop moving, so we opted for a more active class rather than yoga), arts & crafts, food, and other toys for the kids to play with. The party was very well-staffed, and they were amazing. They all genuinely seemed to enjoy being there with the kids. The facility was clean, and they did a great job decorating it based on the Paw Patrol theme (my son is obsessed) that we chose. Brooke and her team were amazing and set everything up for us - decorations, food, goodie bags, and activities. We can't thank Brooke and all the staff enough; they did a fantastic job. My son and his friends all had a great time. My son has already asked about going back, so we'll likely take him for some classes!

My daughter also goes here now to benefit from the detail-oriented coaching and instruction. They've built such an inclusive environment where people of all ages, shapes, genders etc. grow in aerial and support each other. No matter where you are in your aerial journey, your fitness, or your age, moves and poses are tailored to you to help you grow. It's such a supportive community, and I've made some incredible friendships. I'm grateful to have found these guys.

I found it great that this new-ish studio has beautiful high ceilings and a $20 introductory offer for first time fliers, so I hastily booked the class. They have a very user friendly website with convenient online sign up for both their group classes and semi-private and private lessons. In this late night class (8:14-9:45pm), there were two students including myself. The other student (Belle) also happens to be one of the aerialist instructors! So it was nice to basically be surrounded by experts. Class starts out with light stretching... and when I mean light, I mean light. Lol! When I return I'll be sure to stretch a bit on my own. I do like that there is plenty of time to work on the silk and because the class size is so small, you get to be up flying for even longer. Sepida is really good at recognizing your strengths and challenges and is sure to communicate ALWAYS to see how you are feeling. Tired? Take a rest and stretch. Ready for more? Get up and be challenged! There is also water and pretzels in case you need a little more hydration or salt! Make sure to bring your skid resistant socks for class, they are required! Otherwise you can buy some from them for $5 (toe socks or no toe socks)! Can't wait to go back!
