I stopped by this kitchen supply store when I was at the Village with my wife and she was shopping at the store next door. Since she took awhile, I came inside this store to look around with our baby. They have a lot of kitchen items here and some were even on sale for the holiday season. I saw some nice iron skillet pans and with the sale, the prices were reasonable. I also saw they have a little room in the back for cooking classes so I might come back and try attending one of their session. This store also have some nice cooking knife sets as well.

Had an amazing time for our anniversary cooking date. The chef and staff were very attentive and informative with every step. We left very satisfied and full. We will definitely be back for another class. A big thumbs up to this kitchen and crew!

Winter "Feast" meal. Not pictured--sticky toffee pudding that Chef Zach overbaked into oblivion.

0 stars if that were an option. This was hands-down one of the worst experiences I've paid for. This Sur La Table "cooking class" was a complete disaster from start to finish. Four strangers were crammed into a single shared station with one mixing bowl and one pan. That meant everyone was handling and cooking everyone else's food. During peak flu season. With bare hands. At one point, a woman in our group stuck her finger in the food and put it in her mouth, then continued cooking. Absolutely disgusting. There was also nowhere to actually sit and eat like a normal human being. We were expected to eat our food standing, bent over a dirty workstation, surrounded by used utensils, scraps, and mess from the class. For something marketed as a premium experience, this felt sloppy and unhygienic. "Chef" Zach did not teach. He stood there reading recipes aloud and was responsible for cooking the two dishes we were most excited about: the steak and the toffee pudding. The steak was undercooked. The toffee pudding was obliterated, dry, gravelly, and completely inedible. He also managed to overcook the duchess potatoes until they were dry beyond belief. The Brussels sprouts salad was bland and tasteless. To make things even more uncomfortable, the couple paired with us got into an argument mid-class, creating an awkward, tense atmosphere no one addressed. Portions were laughably small. After paying a premium price, we had to stop at McDonald's afterward because we were still hungry. For what this class cost, we could have eaten an excellent meal at almost any nice restaurant in Los Angeles. I called Sur La Table afterward to explain how bad the food, instruction, and overall experience were. They were completely unsympathetic. Their position was that because I stayed, I was not entitled to any refund. Their solution? A 20% discount on another class, which I will never take. They later offered a 20% gift card, while reiterating that no real compensation would be provided. I was also told that if I had left, I still wouldn't have been refunded without 48 hours' notice. A lose-lose policy designed to protect them, not customers. To add insult to injury, Chef Jen told me that Chef Zach is "one of their best chefs." That's genuinely alarming. This experience was infuriating, awkward, unfun, and tasteless. Save your money. Skip these classes entirely. Never again. See attached photo of Winter "Feast"

My boyfriend booked us a Valentines Day Cooking Class, and it was phenomenal! It was a very welcoming space and they made it very easy for chefs of all levels. Had such an amazing time, just wish there was a room to sit down and eat and we were able to snack on treats while we cook!

Steak for 4 people. My husband and I and two strangers we were grouped with. "Tuscany date night"

Awful. This was advertised as a "Tuscany Date Night" with the following to be made: "(1) Pan-Roasted Steak with Capers, Arugula and Parmesan, (2) Bruschetta with Olive Tapenade and Ricotta, (3) Gnocchi alla Romana, (4) Hazelnut-Cocoa Swirl Gelato." In reality? A total joke of a class. First, we were paired with two random strangers--nice people, but not what we envisioned for a "date night." Second, there wasn't enough space or hands-on involvement for anyone. At one point, I was assigned to pepper the steak, someone else to salt it, and my husband was left standing three feet away with nothing to do. Just absurd. Third, the worst part: the food quality. Ralph's grocery bags were sitting openly in the corner. The steak? Really small cheap pieces of flank steak. The "gnocchi" was actually pan-fried grits. The tomato sauce tasted straight from a can (and we added olives to it). As for the gelato--we didn't even make it. It was scooped and handed to us at the end. Lastly, and this is important, no one reminded guests to wash their hands. Hygiene seemed like a total afterthought. Oh and the class started late. The entire process felt really unprofessional. Please, please look at my photos before deciding to book this. For $200+, this was not just disappointing--it was insulting. Spend your money elsewhere.

Love shopping at Sur La Table, doesn't matter which location. They carry mostly good quality products. They have Le Creuset pieces, Staub pieces, made in Italy dinnerware , French imports and more. They have the pretties dish towels that you can't find anywhere else. It's also a great place to get gifts for people who love to cook. You can pretty much purchase gifts for any budget. This location is located at The Village, it's very convenient. Customer service is not the greatest at this location. I have been here many times and always experienced poor customer service.

Highly recommend the cooking classes at Sur La Tab in Woodland Hills. We had so much fun making pasta and tortellini. The sauces were delicious too. Chef Bailey was amazing. My husband and I are experienced chefs and we learned some new things from Bailey. Great for a date or would be fun for a group of friends. Loved it!!!!

cheap Made in china stuff. Inferior quality. I bought one plate, one bowl and one pitcher. the bowl chipped after one month, the plate broke in 10 months; as for the pitcher, I returned it immediately after realizing its made in China cheap crap. The manufacturer is selling it for $5 US dollars. Would never step foot in this store, or buy anything from this brand.

Rude to kids; not a friendly management - stay away from their classes. Had to leave and were extremely disappointed. Stay away!
