Then today we come to find out he never even ordered it. At this point our lenders have found a new lawyer to represent both us and our seller, who already had the title search ordered on rush with proof of the order. We went into this process already nervous about John, because we have heard from numerous people that he was slow, and unresponsive, but I could have never imagined this. I asked 3 times how much he would charge me only to receive no answer. Once we closed I was informed my check would be in an envelope taped to the office door as they won't be in the office for the next 5 days. It was only then that I found out he charged me $1,750.00!!! Including $100.00 for copying and mailing! I requested a refund of $1,000.00 but that was ignored.
