What an amazing place.. and a personable host. We stopped by to stay the night here as he is in the Harvest Host program. We didn't expect that his brewery would be in his two car garage but it gave it character (and that's how almost every big well known brewer starts). An amazing host, he played the piano and sang songs while we sipped beers in the yard. He made rounds to every table talking to everyone that came by for a few beers. This is what I call home style. As others have noted, this brewery is out of a garage, it's a nice garage in a nice neighborhood. The brews are down home goodness, the natives are friendly, and the setting is comfortable. The hours are limited to Thursday and Saturday which makes this spot even more in demand. This place has been on my radar for a long time, but it took me forever to make it out here. I guess it's been open since 2010, but I am happy I finally made it and definitely wish this guy was my neighbor. I knew it was small and run out of someone's residence, but I was pleasantly surprised once I took the time to actually look at the pictures and view the set up online. I've managed to make it to most of the breweries in the area, but this one does have limited hours and is located in a residential area which made checking it out require a bit of effort. I was surprised to find this place had plenty of parking, an indoor and an outdoor area with plenty of seats, a porta potty on site and a very friendly brewer behind the bar. It was the Cease and desist skittles beer that finally got me in the door, and although some people said it didn't taste very skittley it is still my definition of a fun beer. On my particular visit I was lucky enough to try 4 varieties of this, although now I can not remember which one was my favorite. In case you don't share my love of unusual beer do be aware that there are many other taps and things available. They sell beer to go and do take cards. read more

This brewery is in a residencial/secluded area in Bothell. It was funny coming here because when we pulled up, I felt as if we were going to a friends BBQ or house party. HAHAHA! There is plenty of places to park on the property. Plenty of tables and chairs, or wine barrels as tables for standing room. There were lots of cool things to look at in the gargage. Their beer fridge inspired me and my husband to collect beer stickers and do the same to ours! They have merchandise for purchase; Glasses, bumper stickers, shirts, growlers, even phone cases! We got sucked in and bought a glass, growler, and sticker! We will definitely come back in the spring/summer time and do some "day drinkin'!" Not to mention, bring our doggy! The setting here is very cool. It's like going to your favorite uncles who brews beer and sitting in his garage and drinking. BUT ... what's all the hype about at this place!? I love this brewery! It is one of my favorite brewery in washington. Its literally out of the owner's garage. Wooden barrel for tables...stools for seating. I will try anything they brew. Today we ordered the diablo del sol. An english pale that is so well balanced you cant stop drinking it. We also had the swoop, an ESB. It was pretty good but compared to the diablo.....it couldnt hold up. They had a special bitter on nitro as well...little lucy. Great place but remember it is CASH ONLY! read more

Tucked away in a neighborhood in the garage of a house is this awesome brewery. Outside seating as well as indoor wooden barrel tables and chairs are available to sit at while you relax and enjoy the beer. The beer is great and the owner was wonderful. I really liked this brewery. It is literally in someone's garage and is family run. They have a good selection of beers. There are also a couple nitro options too. I had the cranberry frost on nitro. This was kind of a Belgian style beer. It was delicious. I also tried the skittles IPA which was a very drinkable IPA and wasn't overly hoppy. I would definitely stop by here again! read more

I've been going to Fn since they opened back in 2010. English style ales are the order of the day at Jim's place (brewmaster, owner). Beaver (bitter) and Christmas Duck (porter) are their flagship beers with two other seasonals on tap (almost) every Saturday. Two nitro taps as well for those that want to go that route. Growlers to go with your own empty growler ($10) - or pick up a FN one ($15). Everything is cash only so be prepared. Check out their blog to find out what will be on tap on any given Saturday. This place is wonderful. My husband and I came here when it started hailing, which dampened the experience a bit, but no matter, there was beer to taste! The beer itself was interesting and very good. All of them are English-style, not as much hops as other Pacific NW breweries. The atmosphere is fantastic. It's all outdoors so expect to wear layers! There is one outdoor heater which was nice to stand under once the hail stopped. Merchandise selection was above what I expected. When it gets warmer we expect to come back and lounge around and buy something. 5/5. I hope this place stays small and a bit off the grid, as that adds to the experience ten-fold. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed this nano brewery. I more enjoy the fact that it is in walking distance from my parents house which means if we are ever lacking beer at a Saturday shindig, Foggy Noggin will be here for us! I was thoroughly surprised at how packed it was this past Saturday. For a nano brewery, they still put out a bunch of beers - on tap, bottles, and growlers! Picked up a growler for our collection. They had a lot of darker beers on tap, probably because it was winter. I really enjoyed the lighter beers, mostly the beaver. Will definitely be back! read more

Foggy Noggin Brewery was a great place while I was waiting for metro area traffic to die down a bit. The brewery is open on most Saturdays and that is about it as far as business hours go. But picking your time to go is worth it if you like to try out these little breweries! This place reminded me very much of where the Slippery Pig Brewery used to be located in Poulsbo. you pull up a drive way and park in someone's yard. Lol! If there is a rush at the brewery parking can be tight as far as parking really close to the place but I lucked out and got one spot that was close to the garage where the brewery is. I tried three different kinds of beer here and all of them were pretty good! I had the Christmas Duck, their brown ale and their scotch ale. As I said all of them were good but I decided I liked the brown the best. I really liked the flavor! The people that run the place are very nice and friendly! I see a review posted by Evan K. stating that they only take cash and this was a concern of mine but I asked the bartender before I ordered if my debit card would be accepted here and they said it would be. So I think they have moved on past the cash only policy since last July. read more

Not my cup of tea, but my husband enjoys it a lot. The garage thing is a bit difficult to overcome. The beer was ok. I'd certainly pick it over Bud (hard pass), but it's pretty low on my list of craft beer. Their dark beers offered on nitro are worthwhile, though. read more

This is probably one of the smallest breweries I've ever been too. Its located in a family neighborhood and is actually in the garage of the owner and head brewers house. All pints are $5 and single tasters are $1. I really enjoyed the Diablo del Sol, which is their English Pale Ale and the Big Butch, which is their imperial red ale. The brewery is only open on Saturday's from noon to 4pm. They also sell growlers and 22 oz bottles to go. Parking is limited. read more

We're staying in a Airbnb down from the brewery so took ourselves to a great afternoon with owners and patrons. We huskies we're out numbered. Games on good college and sports Stuff. Basically, a guy's converted garage in an upscale suburb. Can get suprisingly busy, but the space also manages to accomodate a fair sized crowd without seeming claustrophobic. Definitely a pleasant, super-casual place to knock down some beer. Tastings are free, pints range in price. Plenty of people were filling growlers. The Burton Ale I had was one of the best beers I've had, anywhere. Totally worth the trip all by itself. This is a beer to ask for at your local watering hole, and the nano-brewery itself should be on every beer lover's destination list. read more
