    Our Sampler on the patio
    Andrew D.

4 Stitch is tucked back in the neighborhood behind QFC. I never knew it existed, but I was looking for a place to drink a beer outside and my search led me here. First off, the beer! Overall, pretty good! My wife and I split a sampler. We aren't normally big stout people, but we were both shocked at how good the Darkness stout was! Very smooth, with a higher ABV as well. But the highlight was the Lil' Sweets, which according to the bartender is the nickname of the owner's daughter. A fantastic tasting and easy drinking Citra IPA that I would come back for alone. The Dad Bod (Mosaic IPA) I would also recommend. I'm normally a fan of West Coast IPAs, but I didn't love their version of it called Reign City. We tried a couple other beers that were solid as well. As far as everything else, they have food trucks that come semi regularly. According to their calendar, looks like they're often there on Fridays and Saturdays. Inside has several TVs playing sports, and a small bar with some tables. Some cool Seattle sports themed memorabilia on the walls. And then there's a patio outside on the concrete in the back that gets some good sun in the evening. My only complaint was that while sitting out there, the music from the brewery was crossing over with the music from the fitness center next door. Nothing they can do about it but kind of annoying to listen to. And finally, dog and kid friendly! Definitely one of the better breweries in the area! Some very tasty beers, good ambience and service, everyone there was pretty chill. We'll be back!

Cute place, good beer. Great place to watch the UW Dawgs! The owners are wonderful. We will be back.

4 Stitch Brewing Company I have heard of a while back. I believe a Facebook page was suggested to me to follow and saw that it was in Washington, in the Seattle metro area. Apparently the brewery got their start in the owner's garage and eventually attracted the wrath of a neighbor which resulted in the location at the garage to close. I think due to that is what made it slip from my memory along with the covid pandemic, stresses of life and other distractions before I got to try it. But 4 Stitch Brewing Company resurfaced again with a more formal taproom in a business park and away from at least one crabby neighbor. I was excited to try this brewery as a few breweries that I heard about for a while in the state finally got tasting rooms fairly recently or relocated. Unfortunately I wasn't terribly impressed with the beer I got. Safety Meeting was the name of the beer that I got from this brewery. A Pale Ale this particular beer was bitter and malty like a pale ale should taste but unfortunately it also tasted very flat. Little to no effervescent presence at all which made it very noticeable in not the best way. I know there are beers that are purposely made to be flat and have no bubbles but I am not so sure that it fits together with this particular pale ale. Staff was very friendly and accommodating so no issues there at all in the slightest.

The woodwork and other decor give the feel of an old building, an Irish pub restored. But carpet on the floor in a restaurant/bar? Yuck! Bad choice. The food is average, done okay, but nothing to write home about, typical McMenamins fare that you find at all the McMenamins locations. Average. Tasty but boring. Most of it was fine. The kids' food was better than average for kids' food. But the one item that deeply disappointed me was the Satriale's Italian Beef Dip sandwich I had. It's supposed to be shaved ribeye, Provolone, pickled peppers, grilled onions on a garlic-toasted roll with Black Rabbit Red wine jus. It was a hamburger patty broken up, along with the other stuff. The picked peppers were shortcut with Mama Lil's (one can recognize them), and while good, they just were not what I would expect in an Italian Beef Dip. Should be some roasted pepper and some house-picked peppers. I've had too many great Chicago Italian Beef Dip sandwiches over the years. Those (when done well) are a 10. This was maybe a 2 1/2 or a 3 at best. So, okay (3 stars) is begrudgingly given.

There food is okay here, nothing spectacular but definitely not bad. The Highlander pizza, again just okay. The crust was what was lacking. I think they got the bottom crisped up better it really would've help. The pesto fettuccine was pretty good and it came with garlic bread. As someone who loves garlic bread and butter, they used way too much butter. I had to soak up some pesto sauce to eat it. Also, if I had known the pastas came with garlic bread I wouldn't have ordered the garlic cheese bread (this was my bad). The garlic cheese bread was a bit better as it wasn't as buttery, either that or the cheese masked it. All in all it, it was not a bad experience. I wouldn't recommend this place for the food, but it's a decent pizza bar to go watch a game or hangout with friends.

It's nice that this brewery has both small packaged snacks for sale and a small amount of food you can order off a menu. I also really appreciate the addition of pinball machines. I don't understand much about the racing theme, but I enjoy any place with a theme. While I have been to the Ballard location a couple times, I am much more excited about a location close to home. We really lack breweries in this area so it's nice to have another option. I've only tried a few beers so far, but they were all tasty. I really enjoyed the pretzel I had on my last visit. The patio is great on a sunny day although you are close to the road so it does not provide a great ambiance, but it is nice to be outside and enjoy good weather. I am thankful to have found a place with Toy Story 4 pinball which is one of my favs. I look forward to coming back and checking out some events in the future. Thanks for coming to town.

She seemed annoyed by the fact we did not know what we wanted to eat even though it was our first time there. She also was rude when asked what alcoholic beverages they serve even though she kept asking us what alcoholic drink we wanted. My husband doesn't even drink but she did not consider that. When asked for the 3rd time for our drink order I repeated what do you offer she replied everything. So I ordered a beer I wanted and she said they did not have it...so not everything. Her response to that was for me to get up and go to the bar myself to look at what they had. As for food we ended up just ordering what our table mates ordered since they knew the bar from years back. She dropped the food off with bo words and then proceeded to ignore us the rest of the night. No refills on water or sodas or checking on us. She went to every table around us; even sat down and hung out quite some time with a table of her friends. We tried to get her attention but she would look the other way. We had to order our own drinks from the bar and get our own refills. Our food came out after our table mates and we had significantly less food than they received though we ordered the exact same meal. At the end of the night (end of trivia) we could not leave fast enough. We had to flag her down for our checks and even then she told us to hold on and it was a good while before she came back. She then had the audacity to argue with us for not tipping her even though she sucked!! The food was not great...typical fried bar food. Holy Cannoli the next day we all paid for eating there as we were all glued to our toilets with it coming from both ends. Everyone was sick. We will NEVER go there again which is too bad bc the trivia part was fun.
