Cassidy cheerfully accepted the challenge! I explained that I was very particular about cleanliness and she said she'd do what I needed. The move was anything but straight-forward with dates bouncing around. I did have advance notice, but she was also flexible when situations changed. She and her crew showed up on time and ready to go. They worked the whole day getting my kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and even jewelry organized. EVERY dish was washed and dried. ....and they seemed to ENJOY it! They were very warm and friendly! Most moving services would not offer this level of assistance! I'm so grateful they could do for me what is extremely difficult to do myself!

This would be a one star review if the owner didn't call me back a 2nd time…read more Booked a small job (5 items) and, of course, they have a minimum: 3hrs + truck rental = $309. Was suggested to me by the rep I first contacted that they could take unwanted items to Goodwill (or charity of my choice) with the "extra time" that wouldn't be used on such a small job. When I booked the job (with the owner!) he reiterated that option also. I also told them that I would have a big job coming up in the near future - thinking they'd be on their best behavior. The truck driver/mover showed up and immediately said he had time constraints (more jobs) and it was up to his discretion if he took any items to Goodwill. When he got some "push back" he said he called the office and got no answer. So: two lies. There were no other jobs that day for him. Also: he *did* call the office and got into an argument with the owners wife. I asked for the owner to call me to discuss. My interaction with Kevin was not what I expected. At one point I even said "do you care at all about what I'm saying or just waiting for me to finish so you can get off the phone?!?" No apology, no interest in what I was saying... The owner called me back after some time - seems he got the opportunity to speak to his wife and to talk one-on-one with the mover. His attitude had changed quite a bit. The fact that he didn't initially believe me and blew me off is really frustrating. What is ultimately most important is that he's not going to replace this employee with someone who cares (and is honest). I'm sure no one is surprised that the next job is going to another business. Also: I'm out of state. The other people involved are all local. They will be using word of mouth to let everyone they know about their experience with "Help U Move".

I got a response back the next day (showed it was from the owner) simply stating "Unable to service - I'm booked for this time." Again, my request for quote stated that my time was flexible. I responded back, "Booked for what time period? I didn't specify a date nor window. I have a 3 month window in which to move." I never heard back. That was the end of March. I do not recommend this business. Apparently they are either not hurting for business or new customers or are just horrible at their customer service.

I had a piano so had interviewed several companies and he assured me they moved them all the time. They sent out 2 guys with a few blankets and one dolly - no piano dolly! Here are a few of the problems that day: 1 - It took us six hours to load the truck - which included myself and my brother to load. 2 - no piano dolly to load a Yamaha Conservatory Piano 3 - Could not fit all my items on the truck, so I had to leave $6000 worth of items behind. There solution was for ME to drive up the next day and pick it up. 4 - They took off the screen door to move items and left me to put it back up as we were so far behind (again 6 hours to load) 5 - They scratched my dining room table ($3000 table). 6 - They scratched my bedroom dresser. 7 - It took 5 people to move the piano off the truck - again, no piano dolly. 8 - We all moved that day and had bruises on our arms from very little equipment. 9 - They used all our blankets and dog beds because they didn't bring enough. 10 - The owner said I had insisted on 2 workers. Do you really think I would have wasted six hours just to load, with a 2 hour drive ahead of us? The owner said 2 would be fine. I could go on and on - this is the worst experience I have ever had moving and it was my 14th time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They lie and are irresponsible and do not care about the customer. Find anyone else to do this, but not this company.

I have moved every 2-3 years over the course of 24 years of military service, and these guys are…read moreamong the best. We scheduled a move with them a few weeks in advance, and they did not disappoint. John showed up right on time to get his team of three started. We did a brief huddle in the driveway to explain our particulars and to learn everyone's name. Five minutes later they were on top of things. Helen was the Master Packer, and she got everything staged for Travis and Eric. Except for a brief lunch break, they did not stop or slow down for 7 hours! These guys were prompt, personal, diligent and hard working. They fully packed two 26 foot trucks. One was ours, and one was theirs for a partial drop-off at a local residence. Because we we were driving our truck out of town the next day, we needed our own packing blankets. I'd pre-purchased 24 from Harbor Freight (good prices) but was running short. I called John the Mgr and asked if he could pick up 12 more and drop them by the house. Harbor Freight refused to take my CC over the phone, so I sheepishly asked John to pay for them up front, and if reimburse him when he got to the house. Now, for those of you who've done business just about anywhere lately, you know this is well above and beyond the Call of Duty. Yet John, true to his core beliefs, kindly obliged. To John I say, Semper Fi! Over the years, I've come to dread moving. But this latest experience makes me think I've just not had he right Team before - at least not until today. What was supposed to be a 3 hour job took over 5. My adult children who were there to help me did all the assembly of beds, bookcases, etc, The one non-medicated person worked very hard and the cost estimate exceeded $200. Several pieces if furniture were broken and needed repair. They came highly recommended and were very disappointing.
