Justin rented a truck in PV literally drove to SD picked me, all my belongings, two cats and drove us to AZ. He coordinated with two exceptional helpers and loaded the truck with only inches to spare. Justin is punctual, honest, hard working and knows the moving industry well.     BEWARE!!! My 5 star rating has been changed to 1 star, because after I was settled in my new place…read moreI noticed 5 missing items. They are a quilt and cross stitch hanging that my daughter, a cancer survivor so far, made for me, and an old fashioned woman's hat made out of crystal, and most stunning of all, two steel individual hanging files that had all of my personal papers in them such as birth certificate, marriage and divorce certificates, health information, insurance information etc.!!! I asked Justin Perkins who owns this business how these items which actually were the last items put in the moving truck could be lost. He became very angry with me over the phone. I asked him to calm down and think about the two of us looking for these items in my home at l:00 PM today. He agreed last night, and has not shown up. He is liable for those losses, and I most likely will never see him again. This additional information is a rebuttal to Justin's comments about this review. Justin, being the good new self-employed moving business owner, didn't even get the moving dates correct when he moved me. So besides bad record keeping and incorrect information, he argues with a customer, because he can't handle complaints that are nasty only because of "how he hears them." He was informed when I called him as a potential customer that I was a 78 year old single woman with a bulging disc in my lower back and made it clear that I would need help with packing, moving, and unpacking. He said that "he would take care of me" and did not say anything about more money needed. Therefore, after the packing and moving the items into the moving truck, I did not have an ounce of energy left to unload and wait while my items were unloaded into my house. I requested that he unload them in the garage and only put my bed together and bring in my recliner. Then after a few days of rest I would appreciate him coming back and loading the items from the garage to the inside of my house. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I talk to people. It is called civil conversing. Justin said sure to my request, and followed up with completing the move. Then he asked me when I would like him to come by and help unpack, telling me the fee for that. Interestingly, he had to deduct a broken antique pitcher and bowl of mine from that fee. I said maybe a week after I, alone, had unpacked what I could first. When he came back he brought his wife and new baby girl who I enjoyed holding and feeding some of her bottle. The rest of the unpacking was done, but I told Justin that I would also need help putting the left over storage boxes where I wanted them inside the rental storage. He came back and did that. I told him at that time that the first 3 items I had listed on the original review were missing. He said that he still could not find them. About a week later I called about the other 2 missing items, the steel boxes. He kept saying that he cleaned out the moving truck including the cab and still had not seen the total 5 items missing. I did not hear back from him, and then sent Justin a text that I would like to have him come to my place and look with me as a second pair of eyes where these items that I could not find could be in my house. I told him that at that time if we did not find those missing items, that he was liable for them, and if did not work with me there would be consequences which is true, and which he felt were a threat. When the rubber met the road, Justin did not show up!! Oh, now, Justin cannot take responsibility for what he says and does and is a business owner! Wow, a new self-employed business man who argues with a client, and doesn't follow through with "taking care of me." If you want to still use his business, BEWARE!! Justin, 'Grow up." Take responsibility and compensate me for your loses of my property,

    Quad City Business News featured Ace Moving not long ago with the owners proudly proclaiming the…read more'concierge' customer service offered by their company. This couldn't be further from the truth considering the suffering we experienced from our move with them. First, they needed to push back the initial start time by an hour, then were late by almost another hour never providing a satisfactory reason or returning calls during the delinquent time frame. Second, when they did finally show up the 'staff' consisted of temporary employed individuals that were out of shape, never moved furniture or household items before, and were careless resulting in broken furniture, appliances, scuffed walls, scratched floors, and excessive time used in process. Furthermore, the move was in such disarray one temp quit within the hour upon arriving after a heated argument in our house which creating a short-handed, chaotic mess of the already ill-prepared crew. The promised 8 to 10 ten hour job was now clearly going to exceed that time frame and flow into the next day as over 6 hours was used and not even a third of the house was loaded. Due to the required vacate timeframe from the sale of our house, I was then forced to get involved and add my experience to the moving process. I assisted with all heavy lifts directing staff on not only how to navigate the items through the old house but also in the offload in the new house. Emotional stress and physical labor was extreme in the process. Finally, when reconciling the bill, no apologies, no accountability, and no acknowledgement of damages or discount associated to the ruined antique items or my labor were included in the bottom line. In fact, I was accused of being 'unreasonable' when the subjects were even mentioned. I am writing this post only as a service to the community and a sincere hope that anyone who might read this will avoid the pain, suffering, and loss that has been experienced by using Ace Moving. Never, and I mean ever, would I use or recommend this company.

They treated my household items like they were their own property and were low cost too. Cant say enough about them. I just wish that that Atlas Van lines who moved me from Cleveland,Ohio were as careful!! Brock
