She ordered it medium rare, more on the rare side, and was so happy when that was exactly what she got. It almost always is straight up medium - and she said it was perfect. We splurged and shared a piece of tiramisu which was also delicious. With drinks (an ice tea and a cocktail), the bill was about $50 (minus tip). We are happy to recommend this restaurant. Because it is in an urban setting, the parking situation stinks, you have to drive around to the parking structure, hopefully find a spot near the walk way that connects to the hotel, walk through the walkway, take the elevator to the hotel lobby, and then take a different elevator to whatever floor your room is on. The biggest issue I have is the service and how snotty the staff is. One of the reasons I booked this hotel because it is dog friendly, when I booked the reservation, I called the hotel and requested a ground floor room near an exit and was assured it would not be a problem and they would be happy to accommodate my request. Upon check in, I found I was on the 3rd floor. I told the lady I had requested and been confirmed that I would have a ground floor room near an exit, she told me the 2nd and 3rd floor are the pet friendly rooms and she could move me to a 2nd floor room if that was better. I said, I would like them to honor my request, I was then told they couldn't do that and if I had a request like that I should have called the actual property and not Marriot. I did call the property and offered to show her the number in my phone. I was then told, whoever I talked to gave me incorrect information and shouldn't have said I would be able to have that room. At this point the other desk person stopped helping her customer and decided to stick her nose in and said "be sure to have her sign the pet waiver and additional cleaning fee agreement", what? First, if you know anything about service recovery Orr customer service you know that one person talks and helps the customer, her butting in was not helpful. Second, you guaranteed me something you didn't have and then acted like it's my fault but be sure and try to get me to sign a waiver and charge me extra for cleaning the room. Nope. This was a horrible experience with snarky people, I don't recommend and never stay there again.

They will need the license plate number of your car. Then drive to 1st Street and enter the ramp. You will need to park on level 2 (slightly confusing) and then use the skyway to begin the trek to the hotel. Then take an elevator down a level and a few more turns through the maze and you see the front desk. Ask for water and a snack. :) The person who checked me in was rambling and confused. The Elite desk had a line so I ended up with him. He was the one who tried to explain the parking ramp. You will then use another set of elevators to reach your room. We were upgraded to a king suite due to status and the room was great. The temp was set to 65 so it was cold but after we figured out there were 2 separate thermostats, it warmed up. Very clean. We checked out the Club Level and there were very minimal snacks and beverages. Not worth upgrading to a Club Level room just for access. Nice location downtown.

Even after reading bad, outdated reviews, we decided to give it a go. So glad we did! Snively's lounge on the first floor is cute and pleasant. We enjoyed our 2 for 1 beer credits included with our room. This is a historical building, there will be noise. But, we weren't disrupted. The Rathskeller speakeasy down stairs is too cute. They weren't playing any jazz (which is common I guess) during our stay, which was fine by us. My hubby and I were celebrating our anniversary, and we loved our choices. Parking is simple enough, across the street in a secure ramp for $12 a day. If you read any reviews that there is a stinky Japanese restaurant on site.....that is outdated info. We stayed in room 3, two twin beds, lower level, shared bathrooms (2)....both have showers and we never encountered both being in use at once. Beds were comfy and the bedding was soft. We will definitely be back. Personally, I like no windows; I prefer to sleep in a cave. Lol. The elevator was a nice surprise. I need my knees replaced; stairs are not my friend. Lol.

Full disclosure: I think we got lucky, we definitely stayed in the best room, #11. It's a 1 bedroom suite with a king bed, TWO TVs and a full kitchen. And when I say full kitchen, I mean it had everything you could ever need to cook with or eat off of. Including wine glasses, pots and pans, even a set of casseroles in several different sizes (you might be in Wisconsin if...)! It has a full-size fridge and an eat-in kitchen. And two entrances! This probably used to be the owners suite. It's in the center of the motel, and it sticks out in the back, so you are sort of separate from the other units and surrounded by windows. Several times we actually forgot we were staying in a motel room. They have literally thought of everything here. It's a very clean feeling remodel. I loved the little touches like the dual closets in the bedroom and the heat lamp in the bathroom and the full spice rack and cookbooks. All the art and tchotchkes throughout the unit made it so homey. So often Airbnbs are lacking in decor. They had two different kinds of coffee makers PLUS an electric teakettle. And they actually had paper towels!! I can't tell you how many times I have stayed in Airbnbs and there's nothing to wipe up spills! Also, it seems like such a small thing, but Kleenex is so necessary and so often overlooked. They had REAL Kleenex in the bathroom AND the bedroom. And not that sandpaper generic crap! Actual soft Kleenex! We LOVE this motel!!

He couldn't get through and when he went on line, it said there was nothing available. How can they justify when it was booked. He had to find a friend to give him a ride. It was very inconvenient. Pretty bad customer service. I don't recommend this service. Try and find something else. Just got word that my son missed his flight because of this company not picking him up. He now has to get a hotel room. He is furious as am I. Horrible customer service. I tried calling them but got no response after waiting 20 minutes on the phone.
