Decent hotpot place. Decent selection of food and food is fresh. Not too crowded, so easy to find seats.

A very good hotpot in Montreal! The bottom of the spicy pot is their special feature, so it is the first choice to friends who like spicy.

The food was great, lots of options and the broth was very customizable with the right sauce ingredients. Even with the steep price, you're not just paying for the good food, but the whole production of it all. Would totally recommend!! I went with my dad and sister and they only had positive things to say too(Kevin if you see this my dad thought you were very cool).

The Long Version: I love mochi. Like it's one of my favourite desserts. So when I saw that Fondue Haidilao had an UberEats deal for BOGO (buy one get one free) mochi, I had to check it out. Especially since our hotel was just around the corner. My husband does not enjoy hotpot and I'm uncertain how I feel about takeout hotpot anyway, so I just got the mochi, lol. It was $3.95 for 2 orders (since it was BOGO). Each order contains 3 pieces, so I got 6 pieces. They are small but still very reasonable for the price, especially BOGO. I ordered on the app and picked up. Pick-up was quick and smooth. Staff were courteous. The mochi were soft and chewy. They had finely grated coconut on the outside and custard on the inside. The custard was unfortunately not creamy but rather it had a more starchy consistency, a bit different from what I was expecting, but it was still ok. Note that since Haidilao is a Chinese chain, the mochi is Chinese-style not Japanese-style. I would love to try the hotpot at Haidilao one day. Maybe when my mom and I return for another mother-daughter trip to Montreal since the hubster does not like hotpot. Street parking only. Review #69 (2025)

AYCE hot pot in downtown Montreal. It's just a few minutes walk from the Lucille L'Allier station…read more People seem to be confused with the pricing. You have to pay the AYCE price per person + price for the soup base. So for two adults on weekday dinner, it was $33.95pp + $18.95 for half & half (2-flavor) broth. All you can drink (AYCD) option is an additional $3.95. This is in their menu, which is extensive and very very long. They should really print it out for each table rather than having it online. You have to scan the QR code at the table to access the menu. For making customers scan a QR code to access the menu, they should offer free WiFi. Veggies and meats are ordered through your server. There were a couple items I asked for but never came. Quality of meat in general was good. The tofu I got might have turned sour. I liked that they had lotus root, tofu skin, quail egg, and Napa cabbage. I also learned what is "chest deckle" because I was caught by surprise when the dish came out. There is a cat robot that delivers the dishes to your table! Other hot foods and desserts are self-served next to the sauce bar. The menu also lists how to make some popular sauces. Service is ok. You have to pay at the cashier in the back corner. I was here after 20:00 on a weeknight, and there was no wait. They had a promotion going on if the weather is greater than 28°C. You get a carafe of juice for the table as well as coupons for a free soup base for next visit (expires end of the month). Credit card/apple pay accepted No WiFi Bathroom available

It was an awesome deal considering it's located right in Quartier Chinois of Montreal! We came after a long walk near the old port, so we were hungry! This definitely satisfied our cravings! The selections were decent with very fresh ingredients. My favourites from our visit: HUGE Appetizer and Dessert Bar compared to other hot pot places - you won't ever get tired of waiting for your food to cook! I tried the chicken wings and it was so good! Garlic marinaded beef - soo tender and underrated! I like it better than the sliced beef you can order from your server. Shrimp Paste - freshly made although a bit on the salty side Unlimited soda fountain which reminded of buffets in Asia that are unbeatable

They have such a large variety of different Brocks different sauces for you to customize and get whatever you want out of your dining experience. It is a chain from China, but feels like a unique dining experience, especially in the Montreal area, where there may not be as many Chinese dining experiences. They have lots of interesting items that I've never seen before. Such as fish cakes that had mochi on the inside, have made meatballs of all different types, and also have some nice canned fruits and syrups and some dessert buttons for those that want a little bit of sweet bite

The servers were very friendly and attentive, and the food was super fresh and great fun to eat, since you cook it yourself by dipping it in a bowl of simmering broth heated over an individual induction burner. Our meal consisted of plates of thinly sliced meats--beef, pork, and lamb, along with an array of vegetables and noodles, dipping sauces and condiments, all washed down with cold Japanese beer. The prix fixe meal included a dessert of macha ice cream and mochi with honey sauce, a great way to end the meal.

We arrived early, but without a reservation. The staff was able to fit us in but you should definitely have a reservation if you plan to eat dinner here as they fill up quickly. I had the spicy hot pot with beef, and it was everything I remembered. My wife was less impressed with her more "plain" broth, but I could see where some people would prefer it. We were in and out in about an hour, which is lightning fast for a hot pot restaurant. You're most likely looking to spend at least $50 CAD per person with food and a drink, but it is well worth it in my opinion. I'll be back next time I'm in the area.

Guess they don't bother telling you they don't have them anymore. The portions are weird. You can write 1 or 4 portions of the same item and they seem to give you the same amount every round. The service also got bad. They never bothered to refill our water unless we ask for it. The broth and the meat are still pretty decent.

They all come with a separate fee so be prepared to add another ~$5 to your bill because of this. The broths are flavourful and not too salty. The seating is comfortable and they have a cute little sauce bar. Service was fast. A strong point that makes this joint stand out is the expansive variety of hot pot items you can order. There are SO many things that don't even have a common term in English, which is impressive! Unfortunately, they don't pay enough attention to washing their veggies, and we got some veggies covered with little bug eggs. Their handmade fish pastes and balls were delicious though. The menu is separated into categories, where some items are limited to one order per person. They also have a membership option for different periods of time. It's kind of extra to be honest, you'll need to go there quite a bit to get your moneys worth. With the membership, you get some exclusive items like chicken wings? it's quite bizarre. Anyways, this hotpot is quite promising but it was about $40 per person. Too expensive even if you've got a huge appetite.
