We went with this company only because they are connected with Costco, assuming that meant quality, transparency, and accountability. That assumption was completely wrong. We paid $8,500 for a water softener and RO system, and from day one it has been problem after problem. The system never alerted us about salt refills, and no one clearly explained this to us. As a result, the unit ran without salt for many months, which is extremely alarming and potentially damaging to plumbing, appliances, and water quality. This is not a small oversight -- it is a serious failure for a system at this price point. After installation, the company dramatically increased the price of RO filters, effectively trapping us into sky-high ongoing costs. Once the system is installed, you realize it is a never-ending money pit. You are locked in, with no reasonable alternatives, and the expenses keep adding up. The sales process is polished and convincing, but after the check is cashed, support and transparency disappear. The Costco association gives a false sense of security. Do not assume Costco's name means protection here -- it does not. If you are considering this system, please do yourself a favor and walk away. After several months the filters needed replacement and the office advised that those filters had been recalled by the manufacturer and sent us a new set at no cost. After we had some issues with getting the system to work properly the agent in the office walked us through the installation and provided more detailed instructions. He followed up twice to be sure the new filters were working properly to our satisfaction. Customer service is among the best we have ever seen and we do not hesitate to recommend them for any and all service work and/or installation of a water filtration system. Brian came out quickly and accurately diagnosed the issue: a pin-sized hole in one of the PVC pipes underground in our front yard that feeds the house. We had noticed water running down the driveway and weren't sure if it was just runoff from recent rain or a broken pipe, especially since temperatures had been below freezing. Brian confirmed it was a leak by shutting off the water to the house and checking the meter--we were still using water. From there, Brian walked me through multiple options, ranging from a full pipe replacement to a targeted repair. I was dealing with family health issues at the time and needed the fastest, least disruptive solution so I could focus on being at the hospital. Brian really stepped up. He suggested bringing in a leak-detection specialist using sonar equipment to pinpoint the exact location. Dupree does NOT FOLLOW REQUIRED manufacturer installation guidelines. The guidelines are not…read moresuggestions or recommendations, they MUST be followed, according to manufacturer documentation. The first tankless hot water system Dupree installed failed bc they did not install an air intake vent as required. They replaced that unit and ran an air intake vent. The unit never worked properly and during a video call with a tech from the tankless co., they instantly saw that the fresh air intake vent was going the opposite direction of the exhaust vent. Guidelines state vents MUST run parallel and exit at the same side of the house within 24in of each other. Dupree installed the intake air vent at the easiest location, out the back of our house just above the basement. Our exhaust is on the roof, 2+ stories above the intake vent. They are NOT exiting on the same side of the house and are they are NOT a max of 24" apart from each other at the exit points, as required. This VOIDS our warranty with the manufacturer. Most importantly, It is DANGEROUS. Page 34 of guidelines state "DANGER: Failure to properly vent the water heater to the outdoors as outlined in this Venting section will result in death or serious personal injury. To avoid the risk of fire, explosion, or asphyxiation from carbon monoxide, never operate the water heater unless it is properly done and has adequate air supply for proper operation as outlined in the Venting section." Josh from Dupree said this is how Dupree installs tankless systems all the time. If we want to have Dupree install the vents to be in compliance with guidelines, we will have to PAY them bc we are outside of our 2 year warranty with them. This is not about their warranty, this is about installing operating systems as required by the manufacturer. Dupree wants us to PAY them to fix their mistakes. In addition, they ran the intake vent close to our dryer exhaust vent. So, our tankless system has been sucking in dryer lint. WE ARE NOW FACED WITH HAVING TO REPLACE THE UNIT AND HAVE VENTS PROPERLY INSTALLED DUE TO DUPREE'S ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENCE AND DISREGARD FOR CUSTOMER SAFETY. It is appalling that they could not bother to read manufacturer required guidelines not once, but twice, when installing a tankless hot water system in our home.

I called three plumbing services out to help fix the hot water heater and was told by all three that the hot water heater was installed incorrectly which led to no hot water and heavy vibration to the equipment. They are unethical and will try to rip you off. We signed up for their yearly maintenance plan in which they come to check your AC and heat once a year. The first time the technician came to check our AC, he barely did anything and said it was all fine. A couple of months later, our refrigerant is almost gone! HOW??? The second technician then fills it in, tightens all the screws and goes on his way (after we spent almost $1000). Now it's time to use heat about a month later and it's not heating. We have them come out AGAIN. Now miraculously all the lines/nuts/bolts are loose and we have NO refrigerant. They tried to charge us $3500 for this. When it was their fault because they didn't do their due diligence the second time they were there. If everything was tightened, how did this happen? We did not think this was right. He filled it up, tightened everything and from what the manager said he was doing a leak test. Leak test was fine (so they say). Also technicians should be aware when they are standing outside of someone's house discussing having client's pay for something they shouldn't have to. We have cameras! Now that was a few weeks ago and our heat is struggling again! So they DID NOTHING FOR US! WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. She goes and ask for an answer with every question i ask. finally, she informed me that they do not schedule after hours and weekend. somebody calls tomorrow and schedules me for Saturday. then the day after, somebody else calls and say; they made mistake and schedule me for Monday. now, they texted me and said; oh. sorry. we don't work on trailers. if they have problem with the scheduling, i am sure they have problem with fixing and replacement of items too. this was the last time that i will call them and ask for their help. they need to train their representative about information.
