The owners are incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. My family and I always end up asking a million questions, and they never make us feel rushed. They genuinely care and are always willing to share their knowledge. It's become our go-to herb shop. The produce selection at the market is huge, and it's actually kind of fun comparing prices between vendors. My only wish is that there were more certified organic fruits and vegetables available. If organic produce is your top priority, that may be a downside. But if you're looking for seasonal fruits, including seeded watermelons (yes, fruit is supposed to have seeds!), you'll find plenty of options. Another bonus is that parts of the market are covered, so even if Florida decides to randomly rain on your plans, you can still enjoy walking around. While my husband and I enjoyed drinks and appetizers, the kids played in the play area nearby; close enough that we could see them. There was also a little pizza making station where for just $10 my son was able to make his own pizza and they cooked it and brought it out to our table for him to eat. For an additional cost you could even do horse riding with the little ones. Overall, I think this is a nice daytime activity to do with the family.

The kettle corn found at another stand is that perfect sweet and salty marriage that only the best of snacks can achieve. The fact that it is made in small batches with a lot of attention to detail is very evident! The arepas are really great! Not your standard fair food - these are authentic arepas that can be stuffed with a variety of options like pork or veggies and not just cheese. There is also a brick oven pizza stand. The pizza is very thin crust and good if eaten right away. Took leftovers home and they did not fare well at all :( Really liked the pooch perks booth. They have homemade treats and toys for your pets and the owners were very nice to my little boy. I just figure that since we live in Tropical Paradise there could be some great vegetables sometimes... This morning my youngest daughter and I visited the Homestead Farmer's Market... Yahtzee! We got there early and although it's a drive, I'll be back regularly. There are tons of options, lots of Mexican specialties you can't find elsewhere (I bought nopales to make salad with later today) and there's competition so the quality matters.
