The instruction was a good balance between ayurvedic philosophy of food, nutritional value, qualities of different spices, and cooking techniques. Sonali was extremely well prepared and organized, and she kept the class interesting, fun, and productive. She was careful to include everyone in the preparation and discussion. (Bonus: awesome tasting Indian cuisine to chow down on with friendly classmates.) Last night, my husband and I each employed the method we were taught to great results. I thought we were cooking, but it turns out that we got to sit and learn how to cook! The chef does these classes in two locations; one in Fort Lauderdale, and one in Delray Beach. Today we attended the class at Bagel Twins restaurant in Delray Beach. Tonight's menu included Lobster! We started off with a delicious Lobster ravioli with a lemon wine sauce and wilted arugula. From there we had the most divine lobster bisque I've ever tasted. Chef Cooks all of this in front of you and asks for participation from the audience. He had many Sous chefs tonight! After the bisque, he made the most incredible Lobster bruschetta with a balsamic glaze on top. And to finish off the evening he served the most delicious lobster mac and cheese I have ever had in my entire life! When you take his classes, he will email you the recipes of everything he cooked that night. My friends and I had so much fun and we would definitely go back for another demonstration and meal! We bought a Breville coffee pot from the Sur La Table in West Palm Beach earlier this week and…read moreafter putting it together, it was not functioning. My wife called Breville and they told her it was malfunctioning and to bring it back as the water didn't heat and it didn't drip. We attempted to return it to the Sur La Table in Mizner Park in Boca Raton with the original purchase receipt from West Palm Beach. The manager of the Boca Raton store, Anastasia said that since it was opened and used that she would not be able to issue a credit throughout credit card account, but could exchange it or give us an in store credit. This is contrary to what was printed on the receipt. From other stores, we have made a purchase at one store and returned it to another of their stores. Recently, we purchased something from Tommy Bahama when we were in Sarasota and was able to return it to the Tommy Bahama in the Boca Raton mall. There was no issue as we had the original receipt. Why did we get a hard time returning a defective coffee maker to another Sur La Table? We tried setting up the coffee maker but we never were able to use it as it didn't work. We now have to make another trip to West Palm Beach to return the coffee maker to the Sur La Table that we purchased it from within the 30 day return period. This is a big inconvenience to us. We will be telling our friends and neighbors about this experience at the Boca Raton Sur La Table. We no longer will shop at Sur La Table.
