I saw that there was a Publix in Pigeon Forge and knew that's where we'd need to go to get our picnic supplies! Because we had flown in (and didn't have picnic basket on our pack list), I knew that we needed to get a small cooler to keep our drinks and sandwiches cool on the warm spring day. Fortunately, Publix had a nice variety of small lunch box size coolers and we found one for a reasonable price that was perfect for what we needed and would collapse down for easy packing to bring it home. We then made our way to the deli and got fresh, deli made sandwiches made with boar's head meats and cheeses. They're fully customizable and we very much enjoyed them! We were also able to grab some fruit, pretzel crisps, boar's head hummus, and bottled beverages to round out our picnic. Everything was great, prices were reasonable, and we enjoyed a beautiful picnic in this beautiful area. One note would be that the deli does get busy. We were there in the ease of spring (ie: no big National Park crowds) and we still had to wait in a bit of a line for our deli sandwiches. So, just something to factor into scheduling. That said, we didn't mind a bit and the sandwiches were worth the wait. Get to it!

The stores are usually spotless and well organized. The prices are on par with all the other grocery stores.......but if you've never had the pleasure of enjoying a piece of carrot cake from their bakery, then I would strongly suggest trying it one day. I really like carrot cake a lot, and I can honestly say their carrot cake is better than any other high end bakeries I've ever had.

However, Terry looked up a near by urgent care facility, gave me the address and the time they closed. After securing a prescription I called back to see if they had it the med in stock. Sadly they did not but she pointed me to the nearby pharmacy that did. Thank so much, Terry, for taking time to help a vacationer! You definitely helped save the day!!

The Kroger cashiers are some of the rudest cashiers in Sevierville…read more Today is the 3rd or 4th time the cashiers complained about our use of the grocery bags on the items we bought. Today the guy on the cash register asked why we bag our items with the grocery bags. Does Kroger employees go to health safety training? It is also raining and we do not want our food rained at and get ruined by the rain water specially the dry goods since the molds will form on the dry goods. I never heard any complaint from the Publix cashiers. They are all very courteous and polite to their customers. If the cashiers find it inconvenient to scan our groceries, why work there?
