The employees that work here are very disrespectful and discriminatory. I picked up a few items and went to check out. While the clerk was ringing up my items I began putting in my customer loyalty number. The clerk observed me putting in my number and pressed a button which blocked my attempt. I then asked her to allow me the opportunity to enter my phone number so that I could earn points for the purchase. She refused. I asked to speak with a manager. Another clerk came over, told me the person who I was speaking with was her manager, and attempted to go back and forth with me about a more complicated way of getting credit for the purchase (which had not been completed). I told the clerk I was not interested in going back and forth and just wanted to purchase my items using my customer loyalty number. The whole time the second clerk that approached is looking me up and down. She then called a male coworker to the front. I then walked over to the customer service desk and began looking for the corporate office information. While waiting at the customer service desk, the second clerk (Tracey) asked the initial clerk (Negist) was she "alright." In my opinion, this was done to intimidate me and to signal that she would call authorities because I was prepared to complain about the service I received. Have you ever gone to a poor neighborhood grocery store in the 90s. I'd not stop here and you get the vibe. Occasionally the food is fresh but mostly not so much. I really only continue to go cause the best snacks is here. They have two type of cashiers. The ones who want to work and the ones who don't. Let you come with a full cart or a kid in tow and the eye roll the annoyance they feel free you stoping their conversation is real. In the end get only what you need or unhealthy snack and get on. From California to Georgia, I have lived many places -- and I have NEVER been to a grocery store with nicer people. They wave at you when you come in, if they are not attending to customers, and they will wave you over to their empty stall quickly if you're waiting in another line. And I've hardly ever waited over a min or two to be checked out with my groceries. And the prices cannot be beat!! They are even less expensive than Walmart! And the facility is VERY clean - freshly mopped and isles and shelves are clean every time I go. THANK YOU FOOD DEPOT STAFF - you are wonderful! read more

I was an office manager at Food Depot but not for long. I worked there from June to August of 2022 and experienced some of the worst things. For one, Sunshine was inconsiderate of my autism. Two, she showed micro aggressions often towards workers and customers. Three, they would not do go backs in a timely manner causing produce to spoil but they would still sell items when mold was brought to their attention. Four, one of the store managers at the time was sexually harassing me (Speedy aka Sydrick Heard). I was accused of running around with him and was told I'd be fired if I didn't stop. When I told Sunshine he was sexually harassing me and minors that worked there, she made it my responsibility to stay away from him. It wasn't until the location manager, Danny got involved that she took matters semi seriously. Still not much was done. He was removed from this location and sent to another location where he can continue to harass women and minors. On top of all of that I was only given one day off, working over 50hrs a week and was only getting paid $9.40 as a manager while receiving treatment like mentioned above. The ambiance? Terrible. They pick and choose who they extend customer service to. I often tried going above and beyond to help customers both in store and over the phone and was constantly reprimanded. They sit there and stare at each other waiting to see who will pick up the phone. They put people on hold with no intention of picking the call back up or answering callers questions. They would tell me to stay in the front and manage the front when there were two other idle managers up there instead of letting me assist a customer in store. I could go on and on about higher up management and the way they conduct things in this store. I even told Ms Nigist about Speedy sexually harassing me and she laughed, then went and gossiped about it with Sunshine. The only good managers there are Christopher and Ms Martine. Even Shaga the other store manager made jokes with Mr O (Speedy's replacement) about my sexual harassment, saying they could see why he would. read more

This food depot has women with very large butts. I'm going to call it the big a$$ grocery store.

The prices are surprisingly competitive, even after Food Depot's customary 10% upcharge at the register. Service and selection are nice. They're good about marking down items (often lower than Kroger does) to minimize food waste. In the evenings there's often an on-duty policeman present, for your shopping safety and convenience. CVS and Domino's are nearby so you can one-stop shop. This is a good store in a good shopping center and there's no reason to go further afield to do your shopping. No need to drive to the Kroger at Mountain Park or Redan when we've got a totally decent grocery store right here in the neighborhood. Buy local, y'all. read more

I have been a loyal customer to this grocery store since it opened. After today I will never spend my hard-earned money there. Yesterday I stopped by there to get some groceries. When I got home I noticed I had an item missing. At first, I didn't want to go back up there because it wasn't a big deal. The following day as I thought about it I decided to get my item. When I went to get my item I was told I was on camera and it was placed in my basket. So why would I drive back up here to hound this grocery store about a $7.00 item? It's sad that in this day and age we have to question people's motives. For me it wasn't about not getting my item back it was more the lack of trust this establishment has for me and my family who has been loyal since it opened. I will make sure to tell all my family, friends and veterans like myself do not shop here. Now I will take my money and loyalty elsewhere. read more

Food Depot is my favor grocery store. They have very good prices on all products. Their meats have the best prices in the Atlanta area. I which they put a store in the Snellville or Loganville area. I like their store so much that I travel 11 miles to the one in the Lithonia area. When I am in the Conyers area, I will go to the one in Conyers also. Those are the two stores close to me. Their meats are freshly cut & have good prices. Their cashiers, the people in the meat department, managers, or anyone that work in the store are very friendly & have great customer service. If you stop any of them that works in the store to inquire where's a product, they will stop what they are doing and gladly help you with kindness. I love this store. Shall I say more! read more

Love the cost plus 10% we can normally get almost everything we need for the week for around $75:)! I noticed that the vegetables are never great looking, maybe that's because they pre wrap everything and the sweet potatoes have been moldy on more than one occasion, but I figured no big deal just buy produce elsewhere. Well for the third time we have ended up with bad chicken. First time I froze it like I've done 1000 before so I just tossed the chicken that time thinking it was my bad. A couple of days ago I went to the store and bought two separate packs of chicken didn't freeze them and they were not past the expatriation date(10/20/17), well I opened both packs of chicken today and BOTH packs were bad! After some back and forth with two different mangers ( I didn't have a receipt, but who keeps their grocery receipt anyways!?) they let me exchange for some other items. Just be careful buying produce/meat from this location, everything else seems to be fine. read more
