This particular shopping experience, I unfortunately dropped my basket at the register and busted onen on of my bottles. This young lady, Taryn was responsible for looking over the self checkout. I was so apologetic for dropping the basket anf Taryn reassured me that spills happened often and to not worry myself. I offered to help and go get a replacement of the dropped item. Once again Taryn made sure to ease my concerns about causing the spill. Again, this particular location is always amazing but staff is 5star. I've been there before but it's been a while so wanted to see if it had changed. Got there a little after noon and they were closed despite the posted hours. On the way over, I had passed the East Lincoln Mini Mart which has a big sign out front, "Best Hot Dogs in Town". Stopped in and their kitchen was down so no Hot Dogs. One more place and that was Jay's in Denver but sign said, closed until 3pm. Ended up with roller Dogs at the Quik Trip Gas Station. Not the best but still not too bad. Repeated the same thing yesterday. City Lunch was closed despite the hours being 5:30am to 5:30pm. East Lincoln Mini Mart had their equipment back online, so I ordered two of them. No place to sit so I took them home since I only live about 10 minutes away. Building is not much to look at, but the Hot Dogs were incredible. The dogs were all beef and had great flavor and texture with a nice snap. Not normally a fan of slaw and I did not tell them "No Slaw". so they came with slaw. Something about North Carolina, everything comes with slaw. Nevertheless, the Hot Dogs even with the Slaw were delicious. Price was more than reasonable and a great value The sign boasting "Best Hotdog in Town" on the front of the building is accurate and the place lives up to the sign. Will definitely be back.

It's that time of year again…read more Every years with give Friends and Business Associates a little gift which in most cases is a bottle of the Biltmore Estates Christmas Wine. We've already bought the wine a couple of weeks ago at Total Wine in Huntersville but now in pursuit of some nice Christmas Wine Bags. These are normally readily available this time of year in Dollar Stores. There is one not too far from here but since we were going over to Lincolnton for Lunch at Italiano's , my wife pointed out that we were going to be going past a Dollar General and we could stop there. Neither of us had ever been to this particular store. We stopped in and it appears that Christmas Wine Gift Bags are not out yet but expected in after Halloween. They did have some other nice Christmas Shopping Bags however, so we picked up a couple of those. Store is very nice and well organized, and the store staff is very helpful. Since we are in Lincolnton a couple of times a year, we will definitely be back as it gets closer to Christmas.

There was a product I needed that was at the very top of the shelf I am tall but not that tall. I tried to find someone to help me get the item down. I found a young man who was stocking in the dairy isle I asked him kindly if he could help me get the product, needless to say he was not happy about me putting him out . I thanked him for his time and help he never spoke one word to me and he appeared completely inconvenienced. It's too bad that this store is getting to be such a crummy shopping experience.

She retired and at least it gives her something to do. Don't mean she is a WalMart Shopaholic. Generally, she will pick me up a Sandwich from Chick-fil-A but I've eaten so much chicken lately, that was not very appealing. She suggested Subway and then I remember, Denver has two Subways less than a mile apart and one of those was in WalMart. My favorite Subway Sandwich is the B.M.T. which believe it or not, stands for Brooklyn - Manhattan Transfer. It's one of their oldest Sandwiches and still one of the best. Asked her to customize it with Banana Peppers, Black Olives and Oregano with Oil and Vinegar in addition to the normal topping. She dropped it off on her way back and on her way to Exercise Class. Still too early for Lunch so I waited for her to finish and return from her Class and we had Lunch together. The Sandwich was excellent even though it was two hours old. Full of flavor and very filling although I think I may have forgotten to ask for a topping though I don't know what that would have been. Susan indicated that she had no wait and the service was excellent and very convenient. Will have to remember this again and maybe get around to trying the other Subway. Moved to Denver two years ago and believe it or not, there are sill some places we have not tried yet.

Love QT and while we did not have one in Cornelius, they were building one when we moved. Matter of habit. The one time I stopped I was impressed. Good prices for gas and yes, it did not trigger my pet peeve of not reciept. Did not go in but will in time. Wife has and she loves it.. Will probably be my new go to but have to get used to it in the meantime.

Walked in with her and unfortunately the only thing I can say from my observations is that that staffing level is a joke. She walked in and took a couple of minutes, but she promptly found what she was looking for. It was behind glass but that is not an unusual anit-theft measure these days. Back to the front counter and only one station open (turned out that was the only Walgreens employee available) and there were two ahead of her. No problem but when she got to the counter and asked for someone to open the display to get what she wanted, she was informed that the person at the cashier was the only person who could open the cabinet for her. Finally she went back to the display and opened it for my wife. Originally my wife only wanted one there were two available and to avoid going through this again, she took both boxes. Back to the front and even though the cashier had walked her back to the merchandize, she was again second in the que. At this point just an aggravation but it the store had been busier; it could have been a disaster.

From the always rude staff to pickup notifications being sent for prescriptions that aren't ready , it seems to always be something new to deal with.
