Nothing says "Saturday morning" quite like a busy bagel shop, and this place was absolutely hopping. The line was steady, the staff was hustling, and the smell of fresh bagels made the wait totally worth it. There had to be 15+ people hustling behind the counter (probably even more in the back), and despite constant flow of people coming in and what looked like nonstop online/call in orders, they had the operation running like a well-oiled machine. I ordered almost immediately, it just took a little while for the food to come out, which honestly was understandable considering how busy they were. The menu is huge with tons of bagel and cream cheese options, plus plenty of specialty sandwiches if you don't feel like building your own. I grabbed the Italiano special, a cheesesteak with the works, and two Asiago bagels for the next day (they're closed Sundays, so plan ahead!). The Asiago bagels were excellent, even the next morning they held up to perfection. The cheesesteak had great flavor with peppers and onions, though I would've loved a little more meat and a little less bread. The Italiano was also really tasty, but my order wasn't quite right. I asked for no roasted tomatoes or olives and to add onions, but it came with the tomatoes and no onions. Honestly the no olives was the most important part so not the end of the world. I fixed it at home with some onions and fresh banana peppers from the garden... again not a big deal, but worth mentioning. I'm sure if I was eating at the location they would've fixed it immediately. For around $30, I got two sandwiches, two bagels, and the sandwiches even came with chips, which was a nice surprise. Easy parking, easy to find, lots of seating (but inside and out -- a few picnic tables on the patio) and while the inside isn't anything fancy, that's not why you're here. You're here for solid bagels, great sandwiches, and a local spot that's clearly doing something right. I'd definitely come back, especially to try one of their breakfast sandwiches next time. read more

These are the best bagels in the Lake Norman area, no doubt. Perfect texture -- crunchy outside and soft and chewy inside. We got breakfast sandwiches as well as a half dozen bagels. Have gone here for several years and today my wife and me ordered the Cuban sandwiches which we normally get and they're normally great. Today whoever made them literally poured a load of mustard on it. All we could taste was the mustard. Brought it up to the counter and all the woman said was do you want an extra piece of bread. Best bagel I've ever had! I tried to raisin bagel with the pineapple upside down cream cheese. The bagel was perfectly fluffy and so flavorful. The cream cheese was whipped and had chunks of pineapple. It was a unique flavor but it went really well with the bagel. They have a huge variety of options to build your own sandwich and do wraps and subs as well as a number of bagel options. There was a good line when I got there but the service from staff was very quick and efficient. They were all friendly and knowledgeable of the menu as well for which they had plenty of employees working to handle the high volume of orders coming in while at the same time ensuring great quality in the food they were preparing and from start to finish took about 10 minutes to order and get my food. Great bagel breakfast sandwich here! I had a Russian multigrain bagel, with the eggs, sausage and cheese and cannot have been more satisfied! The bagel was perfectly toasted and fresh, the eggs and sausage blending perfectly with the melted cheese. This all together at a great price, I'll definitely be back! The only issue is that it's a little chaotic with ordering, and there aren't any chocolate chip bagels! But just walk on up to the counter when you're ready, and you'll be just fine! read more

This bagel place is great because they offer a variety of bagels, they are local, and very reasonably priced. Also, all of their TVs were playing Seinfeld which holds. Special place in my heart. The only reason I took a star away is because my everything bagel was kind of lacking on the toppings. My husband and I ordered to 2 sausage egg cheese bagels to-go for $11. The sandwiches were heavy with all of the ingredients. It was a bit chaotic ordering, there isn't much room for a line to form with social distancing and all. First time here for Sunday Brunch and it's definitely a keeper with only a couple of items that need improvement. Walked in around 11am today and walked up to the counter to place our order. No rush and no one pushed us to go ahead and order which is a good sign. My wife have previewed the menu and had already decided on the Waldorf Salad. She enjoyed it but very heavy on the lettuce and light on the apples but otherwise good. I had the Pastrami Ruben and it came on Marbled Rye along with a side of chips. The Ruben was very good although I would have liked a crisper and slightly more tangy Sauerkraut. For my Beveridge, I had Black Coffee but unfortunately it had a burn taste to it. Not at all smooth but rather somewhat acrid. Rest of the dining experience was great. Very clean, attractive and the staff is great. Order at the counter and they bring it to you table. Looks like they do have a large take out business which is good during this Covid Pandemic. One thing that was disappointing. On the on line menu, they show a NJ favorite, Taylor Ham. My whole family and I have been coming to get bagels here for years. Hands down one of the best bagel spots anywhere around! Some of the bagels, like the blueberry don't have quite as strong of blueberry flavor as you may hope for, but all of their bagels, have an excellent consistency, chew, and overall presentation. Their flavored cream cheeses are on point! Top tier! We have also tried many of their sandwiches and have never been disappointed! They're sweet tea is also bangin for being in the south! For a real treat, get the cinnamon raisin bagel with the walnut cinnamon spread... I do not like raisins, but this combination is absolutely to die for! My sister-in-law would say divine! Mouthwatering! Skip the toasting, just go with the fresh bagel and cream cheese spread! In years past their wait times can get quite lengthy, but I think they have done an excellent job over the recent months of staffing appropriately so that they get people in and out even with a crowd. It's a little strip mall space, not a lot of decor, but it serves a purpose. I would like to give a shout out to Katie who I have had the pleasure of dealing with the last two weekends in a row. Katie is the most efficient staff member I have ever seen there. She has done an outstanding job and remembered my order from the previous weekend. This homely place has a decent variety of freshly prepared bagels! They are missing any kind of chocolate bagel unfortunately. They have a wide selection of sandwiches and paninis too, of which I recommend the Caprese! Regarding the bagels, the egg bagel is just the right amount of fluffiness and crisp edges when toasted!
