Grocery shopping today, though there are still many things I won't buy at a Walmart. I'm fine with boxed and canned goods because why pay twice as much for a box of Corn Flakes or a can of Campbell's soup? But dairy and meats? Definitely not. I've had milk go bad the day after I've brought it home and I've seen beef that started to turn almost immediately after unwrapping it. Definite no. As for the rest, yes, this was a good shop. I found the stuff on my list that I wanted to shop . A few out of stock but nothing that I was looking for. The store is tidy and the shelves in other areas were straight. The options are limited, so I set out on an adventure to Walmart. The first thing I saw: A dude wearing a mask, gloves, and a Superman shirt. Otherwise, it was a typical Walmart adventure. I looked at discount DVDs like I was shopping at Blockbuster, only I didn't have to guess because I could check all the Rotten Tomatoes audience scores on my phone. When I got on line, the lady checking out in front of me said she couldn't read the numbers on her credit card and that's why it wasn't working. They called a manager over and the lady did a horrible thing. She put her palm over her face. I went to self checkout. This concludes my Denver NC Walmart adventure. I shop here all the time. Last night, my car was malicious damaged in the parking lot while i was shopping. I called the police. The managers were so insensitive and laughing at me that I was worried for mine and my daughter's well being. The cops and management told me the cameras are there to protect the business, not the customers expecting to be safe while shopping in their stores. The act was considered "property damage" even though I expressed my concerns this may be a stalker or someone trying to hurt me. Are cameras there only to help if I actually do get kidnapped or worse? I do not understand how this kind of behavior is not taken seriously by this giant of a corporation. I was there today, thought about grabbing a snack. Go over to get some potato wedges off the bar and see a full and fresh looking food bar. Adapting to Coiid but getting better. We moved to Trilogy which is about a mile from here back in July. Up until then, we only visited WalMart and it was the Mooresville location probably once a week and that was normally tied to the Pharmacy because our Senior Advisor indicated they had the best prescription prices. That aside because this is a review of the Supercenter itself and not just the Pharmacy although the Pharmacy gives a lot better service and attention that the one in Mooresville. At first with Covid restrictions was not impressed but over time, they and us have evolved to where they have made great improvement. Staff was not very friendly and helpful when we move over here but that has improved. Much better flow for the shopper and they have greatly improved the contact less self check out process. Stock levels still need improvement but I have picked up some things in the garden center that was not available elsewhere. Picked up two six packs of broccoli that are doing outstanding except for the fact I have a Welsh Corgi who has developed a taste for Broccoli leaves. I can't win read more

I found a vacuum on their website that was marked $78 for the Bissell green machine. I went in stores and it was marked $89 in one location (Denver Nc) and $78 in another (Belmont Nc) both in stores. Denver is 25 mins closer to me so I went to this location. I asked them to price match their own website and they refused. Quote "that's the Black Friday Christmas price online only" so not in stores. I said so you price match other stores an not yourself??? Seems odd. Even though they had 20+ inventory in stock a week before Christmas. I was been told even same-day pick up AND OR same-day delivery on their website for $10 less I would have to place my order on my phone and wait for hours to pick up the same item I had the item in my hands at the customer service counter and she refused. They can price match other stores but not themselves.. After their website promised same-day delivery for the $78 price, I purchased and now there is a delay in transaction and the delivery won't be until tomorrow. For sheer principal, I'm returning the product and purchasing somewhere else for price match of "walmart.com". This experience was a disaster from start to finish. I shop Walmart in several locations in Charlotte all the time weekly and this is by far the worst customer experience I've ever had. read more

Visited today after work. This store is normally better stocked but during this COVID 19 trial, I found a lot of the shelves empty. No points off for that because I'm sure they've been overshopped to death. I approached the deli counter for lunch meat, and found it to be very clean. The only problem was that there was only one person actually shaving the meat for customers while 4 other employees walked about not helping anyone, and talking. One even began cutting meat (a few slices?) while there, but not even offering to help anyone else. Very odd. The woman that finally did help was nice and efficient. The check out experience was good as well. I used the Scan and Go and only had one problem which an associate came right over and rectified kindly. Walmart is necessary and convenient, but there is room for improvement with this store. read more

I went to the Walmart , Denver , North Carolina. The first visit had to go back as I was charged 3x for a 24.98item. The 2nd time I went there the cashier did not bag my items charged me and did not check the bagged items before I left. This happened again.. 16.12 for cat food and missing bleach. I appreciate the Denver Walmart and the convenience of its location. However, the fact that they have went almost solely to self check out, is not conducive to speed and efficiency! Though I am highly capable of using self check out, not all are. It's causes so many issues, when stuff doesn't scan right, or it doesn't register you putting something in the bag, you have coupons or anything for someone over 18, requiring a employee to come over. Each and every one of these things (plus others) cause delays, which impacts every customer. It makes no sense to have 1 or 2 actual check lines where the employee can quickly check you out with ease. It is becoming such a nuisance, that I am really thinking about doing my bulk shopping elsewhere. It shouldn't take as long as it does to check out. Walmart you really need to rethink this push for so many self check out aisles and revisit brining back more checkers. Lastly, I will say there are a handful of very kind and helpful employees and I very much appreciate them. In addition to that, the older gal who stands by the door to greet and/or check receipts, is always stereotyping the people who she will or won't check receipts for. I have watched her do it numerous times to many customers as others walk by. She tends to only check receipts on people who may not look like they are dressed to the T's. I have witnessed it with others and myself. If I come in there on a weekday after work (when I'm dressed up), no issue. However, if I roll out of bed on a Saturday in leggings and a sweatshirt with a hat on she asks me every time. I suggest if you are going to be checking peoples receipts do it for every person or none at all!! It comes across as blatantly disrespectful and stereotypical! Not a good look at all. Most people spend large amounts of money at your store, only to feel disrespected. As well as wasting an extended amount of time dealing with the inefficiencies of self check out. read more

I don't know why I continue going to this store, I should have learned by now. I thought switching from pick up to delivery and maybe the service would improve, but it got worse. My order is over three hours late with no status updates. Call the store to speak to a manager and no one answers, again. They are always late for pick up or delivery. In the store they have no idea where it is and don't offer to look it up. I am told me where they think it might be located. I speak to a person in that department and am told they are out of stick....how can that be if online I can order and pick it up at the store later in the day? To date, this is my favorite Walmart to shop. The best part is the location. I can run other errands in the area and then top off the gas tank for a more reasonable price than in the Charlotte area. I don't typically run into any issues at this Walmart, unlike others where the clientele is quite annoying. The store is usually clean and neat. On a Saturday night, it may at 75%. It's the customers that trash the store and I know it is difficult for store team members to keep up with the trashing, so I don't fault them. That said, don't try to come during rush hour as it will result in a patience-testing experience! Weekends are quite doable. You can always stop for a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant or do your home shopping at Lowe's across the street. I don't know why in the Hell my wife and I even try to shop the Denver Wal-Mart any more. Walk in this morning 9/20 with a short 12 item list and as per usual they are out of 6 items on the list. Lots and and I do mean lots of empty shelf space all over the entire store. They were out of all 3 OTC meds we needed, the candy aisle was over 90% empty and of course they did not have the 2 items we wanted. They have been out of their brand of gallons of spring water and cooking spray for over 2 weeks now and my wife said the cleaning supply aisle was just as bad. This really hurts people on a budget like us if we have to pay a whole lot more some where else for at least 50% of the items we have on our list because this sorry ass excuse for a Wal-Mart here in Denver is always out of stock of at least 50% of what we go in here for all of the time. And what we don't understand is the items they are constantly out of stock on are their own brands like Equate and Great Value. And when they are out of stock, its weeks and months before it shows back up on the shelf again, if at all. Even though this store is only 7 miles from our house, it's just not worth the frustration and aggravation shopping here and walking out with half of what you came in here for every single time. I guess we will start having to drive to Lincolnton or Conover and shop those Wal-Marts to see is their stock situation is any better, but it's still Wal-Mart, so who the Hell knows???? read more

We have been customers at this Denver, NC location for years and will continue to shop there for convenience. However, after our last few trips I simply cannot handle the poor and lack of customer service from the workers. This store is located off of the intersection of Highways 16 and 73. It is a very nice sized store with grocery and retail options as well as a tire center. There is ample parking and the store is never overly busy so checkout is usually very quick. A nice plus. The cons occur whenever you have an in-store question or a question by phone to this location. Numerous times I have been unable to find a store employee, one time I was talked down to by a worker in the garden department because he didn't understand Walmart's coupon policy and I had to wait 10 minutes for the manager to get there to agree with me, and just this past week we had useless support from the tire center. We also previously had to drive all the way to Concord to do an even exchange on a product because this Walmart did not have any in stock and wouldn't transfer one. These are just a few of the examples. All in all, the workers at this Walmart are just not knowledgeable or helpful. When you call in to ask a question, be prepared to be transferred or on hold for at least five minutes. Make sure you have a lot of patience when shopping here unless you are doing an easy in and out transaction. read more

It is a hit or miss at this Walmart store. Sometimes you see the greeter and sometimes you don't. Today, everybody minding their own business and focused on putting products away on the shelves. One person at the meat area smiled and said hello. Like shopping here on a week day in the morning instead of the weekend. Nice and quiet and can go through the aisle and get the stuff you need. Becareful when shopping for sale items especially when it comes to fruits. Strawberries on sale for $1.98 which sounds like a bargain. Make sure you check the bottom of container. There were some already molding. Always, check to see if bruising too or overly ripe produce. Although, there are lots of check out counters. Many not open. Maybe they all open when it is super packed on Friday's and the weekends. Got to checkout -the cashier was ringing me up and she was talking to another person at the same time. Not sure if she chit chatting with another employee nor customer. Talk about multi-tasking. Never had this before. Made sure I check my receipt so there were no errors or duplicate charges. read more

They make you go through and check your items out at self scan because no cashiers. They can pay people to monitor you scanning for accuracy though. Today I was embarrassed with no apology when I was called out in front of everyone by the hallway monitor like I was a thief to say can I see your receipt because I don't see your Downey as scanned listed on my handheld device. Of course I pulled out my receipt which in fact had my Downey scanned only to have monitor say "oh". No apology for embarrassing me or implying I was a thief. Shame on Walmart. I will not only shop somewhere else but go out of my way to share my experience so others can make their decision If they want to shop at Walmart. Have a hard time rating any Wal Mart more than 3 stars and can easily go down to 2 or 1 but, this is a pretty decent version of the mega store. It's generally clean but the usual crowd of Walmartians is no where near what you see on those emails that your good buddies forward to you. Keep in mind, just the fact that I'm shopping there potentially makes me a photogs target but, I'm generally not letting my thong show outside my jeans so, not too interesting to shoot and post onlline. Beyond that, it's what you expect from Wal Mart. Huge, lots of stuff and a cheap place to stock up on staples for the home. I wish I had enough Occupy in me to not shop here but, it's just so budget friendly for the weekly big grocery shopping trip and as cousin Hogwallop says.... I got's to do for me and mine! read more

There never seems to be anyone willing to provide service in the sporting goods section. There is a button to push to get help, I pushed it repeatedly for over twenty minutes. Nothing happened!!! By the way, I was just trying to buy a fishing license. It took three visits to get someone to kprovide help, but that was because I called the store on my phone and told them I was tired of waiting in sports! When an employee finally made it back there they told me that the person who handled licenses was not on duty! So this time I put the items I had planned to purchase back, and left!! Have shopped here for almost ten years and it was one of the best I'd ever been in. That has changed as of 2018. Now they have down sized staff to where there is always a long line in checkout. There is never enough product of any kind. Shelve are almost empty. The other thing is they have rearranged the lay out too often. I will start going to Publix for groceries since they offer more selection and better customer service. Will do more online and buy odds and ends from smaller specialty stores. Wallmart is not the only store and they have lost my business. I will still stop in if I need to see a product but will probably just order it on line unless I need it that day. Did some grocery shopping on my way back from Denver Nc and what a mistake, watermelon was rotten and got sick the next day couldn't go to work! Cranberry pie was 4 days passed expiration date and still at the same price on the cookies section! Threw it out right away! My mistake again didn't pay attention to the expiration date but when you trust a company you wanna shop with a piece of mind not checking every single items you buy! I went up to Walmart in Denver on 16 on Tuesday 01,2021 after speaking with Bill he told my husband to have me come on my lunch Tuesday 6/01/2021 that he had his hands on 5 of the tires I needed for my 4 runner ... went up there and SUSIE in Tires was who was there and she informs me my they do not have the tires , SUSIE was very rude and had no clue about her job ..... my husband then goes online and purchases the tires , sets up an appointment for today Wednesday June 2 . I go to Walmart for my 1:00 appointment that we had, I'm told by Susie that I don't have an Appointment , nor do they have the tires. So I got no tires and they wouldn't give me my money back either , said I had to get it back from Walmart.com . Very clean location. Every time I come here the aisles and shelves are fully stocked. The customer service representative is are really pleasant and helpful and the cashiers are pleasant. The fruit is fresh love the vegetables from here they have a really nice selection of frozen food. I love to shop in their garden apartment they have beautiful fresh flowers. Employees were wearing them but at least 40-50% of customers were not. No signage or anything visable calling for customers to wear them. My complaint about Walmart is the fact they only have one entrance for coming and going. The other two entrances are closed even for exiting. I find this to be ridiculous because it holds people together instead of separating them. Why not have an entrance only and an exit only it would make more sense.
