Good: food is decent Bad: nasty owner…read moreI visit Concettas maybe once a year. This time was really unfortunate, and I hope for the owner's sake my experience was just a fluke. Now for the story... I was taking my 93 year old mother to lunch, and parked in the lot to the left side of the door. That side only has a few spaces but chose it because it's close to the door. My mother can't walk far; she has to use a rollator. Before I got out of the car to help her get out, she started complaining about feeling tired and hurting from her leg problem, so I asked her if she'd rather get take-out instead, and she was fine with that. A gentleman walking past my car must have misheard me and questioned why I was there, asking "Are you going to be eating here?". I was a little confused, but answered him quickly and perhaps incorrectly saying, "No". No sooner did I say that and he was all over me complaining that I couldn't stay there because he has to pay for those parking spaces. After his rant I got to explain that I was just going to get take-out... if that was OK with him. He seemed to agree, and walked away. My mother asked, "What was his problem?" I didn't have a good answer for her, but instead of leaving right away in disappointment I went ahead and walked in, apparently after he went in. I ordered from the nice girl that was at the register. As I was waiting for my order, the man was in the kitchen, never looked at me again, didn't bother apologizing for any miscommunication or attitude, just stuck to his work. OK, fine, let him do what he needs to do. As I was driving home my mother insistantly asking me, "What was wrong with that guy?". I responded, "Well, I'm not sure. Maybe he just had a bad day". I further explained that I've always liked that place. But I'm never going back there after that experience." Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. By the way, the sub rolls are rather dry and stale... for both of us. I'd give four stars for the food in the past, but would only give one star to the man who sounded like he was the owner. So three stars is an overall score, not a one-time score. This time was two stars... as I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I got the Beyond burger and let me tell you... IT WAS HUGE! So fresh with all the toppings and be prepared it takes a while to make but worth every minute of wait (to the point I thought mine wasn't being made LOL). I got mine with onion rings and let me say i can't wait to get those again! I also added the dipping sauce to try since why not?! My family got the BLT, steak && cheese sub, and shrimp basket. Everyone CRUSHED! They don't skimp on the fries w each meal either. You are going to be full. Cute 'I Love Lucy' themed spot with the can in the parking lot. I wish i could special request tuna because i know it'd be amazing! THANK YOU NYID

The Castellano had a crisped pile of gorgeous beef, with crispy fries, and super fresh veggies (basically a cheeseburger on a sub). My husband ordered this one, so I didn't taste it personally but he absolutely LOVED it. The Thommy, The Three Fingers is a chopped cheese. It's, by god, the best I've ever had in my life. I add peppers, provolone and mayo and an extra side of tzatziki (labeled garlic cucumber on the menu), and oil and vinegar (which tastes like Italian dressing, but who's counting?). The bread is phenomenal. I may literally just order a sub roll with no ingredients one day, just so I can eat it toasted with butter, with every meal I have. It's soft and fluffy, crispy and chewy all at the same time. (It almost gives bagel, but not tough). I also got the y cheesecake. Not as special, perhaps from the Cysco truck (iykyk), but I still bought it and scarfed it down. Strawberry topping was def the average canned-strawberry topping (but I personally love that). I cannot stress, the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! As for service, the entire team is so friendly and helpful. They kid around, make silly jokes and make sure your order is prepared fresh and fast. It isn't "fast food fast", but also doesn't taste like shit either, so the wait is worth it. At most 10-15 min if you don't call ahead. As for seating, in winter there are only two two-tops so seating is extremely limited. It is mostly a deli-and-get-outta-here kind of place, but nonetheless welcoming and charming. They have tons of Italian memorabilia all over the walls including giant GodFather posters, taxi plates and more. Today was my first time inside, but I've had my husband go pick up food several times on the way home. I cannot live without one of these subs AT MINIMUM once a month.

I spent $47 for 2lb of shrimp, 1lb of crab legs and 1lb of mussels which easily fed 3-4 people. We made our own sauce for the seafood but Lighthouse does offer butter and seasoning options. The picture shows only half of everything. I recommend this place for fresh and affordable seafood. I opted to order online and pick up at the location. It was a quick and easy pickup since the staff were great.

Stay away from this store! I bought some Cod, cooked it the next day (Yes, I have cooked fish…read morethroughout my life; I'm not a novice). It didn't have a but odor while I was frying it in a skillet even though the pieces were turning literally into mush. I know that Cod can easily fell apart if you don't know how to fry it, but I am a pro. Well, when I sat down to eat it, it didn't taste good. I decided to give it to my dog, who is a garbage disposal, can eat raw, cooked... He can digest rocks! Guess what? He was sick throwing up, having diarrhea and was lethargic for two days! He is a big 145 lb boy and he didn't eat that much of that fish. I would have easily end up in an emergency room if I would have eaten that Cod, but then I would send my medical bill to this business along with some other legal papers. What were you thinking? $30 of fish could cost you thousands of dollars!!! I swear watching my dog I was very close to take that step, just to stop you from treating costumers that trust you so poorly!
