The store is often out of advertised items…read more The produce (fruits and vegetables) section is abysmal with many empty cases, and the items that are there are oftentimes wilted and moldy. The fresh fish case, which used to include three separate sections, is now down to one section. When we were in earlier this week (02/02) there was one (just one) tuna steak and some farm-raised salmon -- no other fish. The side case, which holds the smoked salmon and other packaged items was barely refrigerated. On a prior visit (01/28) the fat-free milk available had "best before" dates of 01/22 and 01/25. Doesn't anyone check the sell by dates on fresh milk? While they have improved some of the lighting and the signage for the aisles over the past six months or so, the store is still regularly dirty and the layout is very poor. There are "pop up" manufacturers' merchandising displays blocking items on the shelves. Last month, one of these flimsy cardboard (and top-heavy) merchandising racks toppled over with its items strewn all over the floor. Other times, we have looked online ("browse aisles") to make sure an item was in stock as well as its location within the store before visiting -- only to find upon our arrival that not only is the item not at this store, but that you are no longer carrying it. When we showed the online listing to one of the store's employees they merely shrugged. Also, twice in the past few months we "clipped" online coupons and added them to our Go account, purchased the items, and later looked over our receipt only to find that the discount was not applied. There is never any more than two (2) manned checkout lanes opened at a time and the self-checkout terminals are antiquated, making it virtually impossible to have a smooth, uninterrupted checkout experience without the need for someone to come to "unlock" the terminal, review your last scanned item, and check the bag staging area. Absolutely maddening. Now we understand that on any given day there might be an issue or an inconvenience we would need to deal with -- a late stock delivery, a shortage of employees due to sickness etc.; however, at this location the issues are ubiquitous and systemic and store-wide (not relegated to one department or offering).

One of the things I appreciate about Hannaford in Hudson N. Y. is that in the aisles where ethnic foods are sold you have a separate designation for Hispanic and Italian goods, which is correct. I've been going in there mostly for quick items, but every time I go in there, I'd always carry peanuts and similar (after checking out), although not being able to find hard-boiled eggs here was a depression because I was buying for someone else who was traveling with me at the time. Also, not being able to find bakery goods, like muffins and hard roll sandwiches has been troubling because, with Speedway, it's always been they carry only the brand name goods that aren't baked in-store. I value (at least a peanut buttered roll) from a convenience store, though muffins are my backup, and neither one via store brand is ever found here - and I'm angry about it. However, I like that your store carries the ice cream in the fridge over the window. It's nice being able to buy ice cream cookie sandwiches in the same place as my favorite - Nestle Drumsticks - which not even I can find in most convenience stores near me. Although you don't exist on any of my delivery apps of choice for Dutchess County, I'm not expecting anything to come of this statement. Especially since your competitor is there and serving most of their goods to customers in Dutchess County, not seeing any Speedways is a downfall of the Speedway brand.

Take advantage of the choices, especially at a great price. The store itself is very laid out, with your typical gas station products, milk, snacks, drinks in freezers, car auto parts, you name it. I find it to be well organized leaving no mess and anything item misplaced. This Stewart's does a wonderful job of keeping up on that. This location only has 4 pumps which will require some waiting when it is busy. The prices here can be a little higher compared to some areas, but the choice is up to you. Bring the fun!

They're open til 11 so I get you're busy a lot of the time with people at night coming in for gas, beer, milk, ice cream, but a lot of us come to Stewart's for the hot food and coffee. I use to go to the one in Wurtsboro and they always keep it going all day and are fast to refresh. The one over by the Culinary Institute is keeping the food and coffee more refreshed all throughout the day so I drive a different way now from the start of Hyde park thru back roads to get from Poughkeepsie to pleasant valley just to go to the Stewart's there because the one on Dutchess turnpike doesn't keep enough food or coffee full and fresh. And there's more food options in the food warmers on display at the counter at other Stewart's locations nearby. If you listen to feedback, please put more hot food back on the counter and keep all the coffees full and fresh, and I will gladly come back to this location.

There were two pieces of baguette with some melted cheese in the container. The bread filled more than half of the container's volume. The broth had cooked onions as expected, but was flavorless and non-aromatic. For three tablespoons of soup, this is *not* anyone's definition of a value. The server at the counter was slow, surly, and altogether unpleasant to interact with. Great Barrington Bagel or Guido's are the places to go: Not Bizalion in a bazillion years!

This fuel and deli is literally a light in the darkness, just something in a sea of nothing. It seems to change hands and have different name variations rather frequently, but it's still open. Gas prices are on the higher side for the area, but it's about convenience.
