Dr. Kalhor is the best!! I can walk pain free now thanks to her! She listens and makes sure to get right to the root of the problem.

Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Sobeck was very disappointing. After being placed in an exam room, we waited about 20 minutes before seeing the doctor. My mother tried to explain not only her severe knee pain but also pain she has been experiencing in her arm. It felt like her concerns were brushed aside, and the visit was focused only on the knee X-rays. Dr. Sobeck quickly decided that my mother needed a knee injection. There was very little discussion about the procedure, what to expect, or whether she had concerns. My mother was visibly nervous and anxious about receiving the injection. What was most upsetting was the way the injection was administered. After agreeing to proceed, we waited another 30 minutes for Dr. Sobeck to return. During that time, the nurse informed us that he would use a cold spray to numb the area before the injection. However, when he came back, he appeared ready to inject her knee without using the spray at all until we reminded him. He then briefly sprayed the area and immediately inserted the needle without allowing any time for the area to become numb. My mother cried out in pain during the injection. There was no warning, no reassurance, and no effort to make her feel comfortable throughout the procedure. For someone who was already nervous and suffering from severe arthritis, the experience felt rushed, rough, and lacking compassion. It seemed as though getting the injection done quickly was more important than ensuring the patient was comfortable and properly prepared. Once the injection was finished, Dr. Sobeck simply said, "I'm done, my dear," and walked out of the room. There was no explanation of what to expect afterward, no opportunity to ask questions, and no follow-up from the nursing staff. When we left the room, there was no nurse available to check on my mother or provide post-procedure instructions. The front office staff was pleasant, but the care we received from Dr. Sobeck left us feeling unheard, rushed, and disappointed. More attention to patient concerns, communication, and basic compassion would have made a significant difference in our experience.

On Dec 4th I was recommended by my PCP to Dr Kayvansar. Upon my first phone call I encountered a…read morerude unprofessional receptionist names Camella or Carmella. I simply stated I was calling because I've been frustrated with having a broken leg and been told according to my X-ray I needed surgery. Camella started the conversation very negative with "Oh we r booked for a month!" So my natural response was "a month?" So I have to wait that long for surgery? She then threw the phone on hold without asking me can I hold. She returned to the phone in a rude matter stating I should be happy she is trying to put me in. My response was I should be thankful I'm getting put in not happy. I asked if another receptionist could help me seeing as though she wasn't having a nice day. She then repeated that I should thank her and went on to speak to me as she was my Mother or my surgeon for that matter. I then asked her what is the address to the dr offices as I can walk in if there is a problem. She then went as far as to not give me the address. I then reminded her that as a potential patient with a broken leg so actually as a potential candidate for surgery I actually have the legal right to have your address. She then stated to me how she doesn't have to help me and on and on so I asked her who the clinic manger was as she stated she was. Now I'm no rocket scientist but every gut instinct in my body told me that no one this educated could run a doctors office. She repeated herself and wanted me to give her the "yes maam" you know the know you give someone who actually helps and instead I just said "right" she repeated herself "Don't right me!" She then made it a point to call my medical group and lie. But in her lie she told a key point she stated that I requested the conversation be recorded. RIGHT! A person who is not ill mannered or being rude or telling lies would never want to be recorded a person who wanted some quality assurance would! I can't believe that in the most difficult time I call a medical office and get this type of treatment. I don't blame Dr Kayvansar or the rest of the staff I blame this one rude unprofessional ill mannered person who obviously has home problems or why would you just be all around that rude! I have since spoke to another receptionist and have been told the office manger is Nadih who was in the Woodlnd Hills location and I plan to do a formal complaint about this Camella at a later day as for now I have a plate 6 screws and pins in my knee from a ORIF of my L tibia plateau it's a long hard journey as it is and it would make for a easier ride to a least know medical professionals are there to help you not tear you down further when your already not standing on two feet ~~~~~IF YOU CALL THIS OFFICE I REPEAT DONT SPEAK TO CAMELLA OR CARMELLA HOW EVER YOU SPELL THE NAME!!!!
