They also only gave me 3 months to pay the balance in full and told me that there was no longer payment plan cause the "doctor has to eat." He had business cards saying he was a Rectal Surgeon but turns out he is only a General Surgeon. He decided robotic surgery was best which I thought was a little over the top but what do I know. I thought everything was fine after leaving his surgery center until I tried to have a bowel movement two days after surgery and could not. I felt a foreign object and pulled it out from down there and it turned out to be a Lidocaine patch normally used for muscle pain.....in my rectum. Removing it caused his sutures to come undone. I followed up with him and he only wanted to perform other tests. His office manager was apologetic saying, "We should have told you about the patch." Although I paid the full balance with a Cashier Check; someone called from his office trying to get paid the same amount again. I told them I paid in full and after a little back and forth they relented. His staff was excellent and I feel sorry that they have to associate with a Butcher like Chen. Also: no other surgeon will touch you after going to Chen because they are aware of his sub-standard care. Choose wisely folks.

The Doctors office is called Robotic Surgery, and indeed it is, a robotic service. What's the big mystery, what's the big misconception with professional medical doctor and a robotic doctor, you tell me. Waste of time for a Surgery doctor to claim to have all the answers and give psychic advice. The Doctor forgot, not all statistics run the same for every patient, not everyone's history is the same, not everyone's fat or lipedema's are grown the same way, diet and lifestyle do play a role in staying stable to a certain extent, so disappointing to have a Doctor choose to be tired and dismissive of his work practices.

It made me feel so comfortable. Before I knew it it was all over that quick. It was the best sleep ever. This was the best place ever for a colonoscopy and endoscopy. Yes I will be going back in the next 5 years. The doctors are best ever, and the staff is too. If I can give them a million star rating I would. When you first meet him, he has this aura that surrounds him. He's personable, genuine, smooth, calm and collective. The guy is so in shape he doesn't look a day over 30. Yesterday he performed a hip replacement for my mother and she's recovering well. All of the staff keeps telling us that he is the Michael Jordan of bone joints.
