Absolutely the worst podiatrist I've ever been to. I went in with a wart under my toenail which I…read morewanted cut out as previous medications including strong medicines used for cancer by a dermatologist didn't work either He said he wanted me to try another RX before cutting it out so I got the RX. After the RX he prescribed didn't work (which I told him I'd already been treated with strong medicine by a dermatologist and I just wanted it removed at that first visit but ignoring what I asked for he had me get a prescription anyway which also did not work. On second visit he said that he could surgically remove it BUT it would have to be done in a surgery center that he could not remove it in his office. I don't know if you've been to a surgery center recently but the cost can be $5000 to $7500. I thought a surgery center for a small wart was overkill so I waited till I went back to Seattle to find a more skilled podiatrist. With the new podiatrist he gave me a shot to numb my toe and then in what seemed like 10 seconds had the nail ablation done. And for this simple procedure Dr Sheingold wanted a surgery center!!! I would never recommend him and wish there were zero stars to give him.

I would recommend him for any foot care procedures. I was scarred to visit someone for my ingrown toenail at first...but he made me feel comfortable...going in is a lot better than being in pain!!

A Foot Care Center responded to my original review by posing as a reviewer themselves. I will post…read moretheir response here, as I am certain their review will be removed, as it is against Yelp's policy for someone affiliated with the business to post a review. My original review: "After being hit by a car, I called this office months ago and asked if they would accept auto insurance. They said, "Sure, " and set up an appointment. I got a babysitter and waited probably at least half an hour in their waiting room, filling out mounds of paperwork. Was called up to the front desk. Told they had made a mistake and would not be seeing me that day. Was told that they were in the process of learning how to take auto insurance. Was told that they were definitely going to take it, but they needed a couple of weeks to get their system set up and then they would call me to set up an appointment. The lady that told me all this was so apologetic and so sure that they would fix this for me that I waited. No one called. As my foot has been bothering me more and more and I don't know how long before my auto insurance would close out my claim, today I called them to find out if they were able to accept the auto insurance yet. Was told unequivocally that they had decided not to take auto insurance after all. I pointed out that it would have been nice if someone had called me so that I could look for a different podiatrist and was asked if there was anyone who remembered me and was given a weak apology and told that they had "all new staff." I never got a chance to meet the doctor, but I definitely would not recommend this office based on their organization and patient interaction. I would also like to add that I was so upset by this that I had to specifically create a Yelp account to review this office. I've never seen the need to leave a review on anything before." Their response: "This is a reply to Jessica's review: Jessica, I spoke to you the other day and again we are truly sorry that you feel the way that you do. One of our employees gave you the wrong information about us taking Auto insurance, which we do not take. To receive a review like you gave us saddens me, everyone makes mistakes. I did contact our employee, she remembered, she also said that she is very sorry she forgot to give me the information to call you. Dr. Weaver has been in the area since 1986 and all of his patients love him as do we and for you to want to say bad things hurts him and he's never met you. We as a team at a Foot Care Center, work very hard to help our patients in every way and we can't always make everyone happy but we sure do try. I'm sorry the information was not passed on to have me call you when we made the final decision not to take Auto Insurance. Our company has a very good reputation and we pride ourselves on that and for you to try to break that down because of something like this breaks my heart. There is nothing else we can say except for, we are sorry. Sincerely Tracy Weaver" And my response is as follows: "Your apology is greatly diminished by your attempt to chide me for leaving an honest review on an experience I had in your office. That is extremely unprofessional of you, as well as dishonest. You can't scold people for leaving negative reviews, you should welcome all feedback. And it was not one interaction I had, not one employee who just gave me misinformation. I was told over the phone that it was accepted, set up for an appointment. When I showed up for the appointment, I was told that she was corrected on that and you were still in the process of beginning to accept car insurance and someone would call me to schedule an appointment when that was taken care of. I did not complain at that time, it was the fact that no one cared to get back to me and tell me to schedule an appointment with another office that led me to write a review. I did not insult anyone. I did not say anything against Dr. Weaver, I would have no reason to, as I was not even able to meet him. Because no bothered to update me on the policy, even though I was reassured after wasting my time in your office that special care would be given to me, I have now lost about two months of time that could have been spent rehabilitating my injury. I already have an appointment with another podiatrist, I was not asking anything from you, not even another apology. I am not attempting to "break down" your good reputation, although I do believe that if you cared more about your reputation, you would keep your word to prospective patients and you certainly wouldn't leave churlish replies to reviews. One bad experience/review won't hurt your business, most people understand that everyone makes mistakes. But your response can certainly be telling. Any attempt to silence a negative review or talk down to someone for reviewing their experience will certainly make people wonder why you can't take criticism gracefully."
