I recently was treated by Dr. Grillo for Foot pain . He did x-rays and explained in detail my options. I chose to have surgery which he performed in his office. The surgery and follow up was great and I m back to normal. He was firm but caring when he determined I wasn't doing what I should be during recovery. His office staff is terrific they are efficient and caring. The Dr. has great credentials and is professional but fun to spend time with. I Highly recommend Dr. Grillo. read more

Visit Number Ine, I began speaking rather rushed as I know Medicare time limit. I was subjected to verbal screaming, told I was exactly the kind of patient he would refuse,. Also, my way of handling my feet was totally awful, said he. I was shocked. He did painfully cut my bad toenailed, even yanking out attached skin. Visit Two was a bit calmer. Visit Three was the dealbreaker. I was berated. In my defense I suffered a broken femur so was unable to get in until my final, horrible appointment. I have SLE, am a 79 yr widow of 16 years who lives alone. Something is wrong with this person. read more

Dr. Grillo provides professional care and counsel. I have been visiting with him over the past five years and every encounter leads to a successful health outcome. Most outstanding in my mind is when I went in recently to have a troublesome nail removed and he told me he would not do it because he could not find a pulse in my ankle. He immediately referred me to a radiologist where it was revealed that I had a 90% blockage in my left leg. An angioplasty two weeks later solved the issue. Dr. Grillo's diagnosis and subsequent referrals to both the radiologist and surgeon probably saved me from massive complications on down the line. I will always be grateful for his care and I am glad he is on my personal health team. read more

Within three minutes of my first and only appointment with this doctor, I knew this was not going to go well. He must believe because he has a 'Dr" in front of his name that he has the privilege of being rude, arrogant, and superior to people seeking his medical help. He became agitated when I questioned his treatment approach, and suggested I see another doctor. I enthusiastically agreed as I told him what him what I thought of his ego-induced attitude. He then showed his true self as the "F" word expletives came out in a rage. For anyone looking for a podiatrist in the Fort Myers area, cross this one off your search list. read more

Dr. Joseph Grillo Told my mom he was running tests on her to see if she was able to take the medication he wanted to subscript to her but wasn't sure until the test results would come back. Then he told her she will receive a phone call from one of the receptionist to let her know her results in order for her to take the medicine or not. A Week passed and she received no phone call from nobody. Then she goes back to check on her toe and he asked her if she took the medicine and she said no because nobody had called her to let her know. He seemed bothered. Then the tell her that she won't be able to be seen by him because they are irresponsible. Also this Clinic is very unprofessional and the ladies in the front are rude. If you're going to be a doctor at least treat your clients with more respect and care. Not just a paycheck. Worst office out here in Fort Myers. I do not recommend. read more

Dr Grillo and his whole team are just wonderful. So warm, welcoming, and caring. I had a bone spur on my big toe surgically removed and everything went perfectly. Dr clearly set my expectations before the procedure about how it was going to go and the healing process. I have been in treatment by Dr. Grillo for several weeks. He is a podiatrist and foot surgeon. The culmination of needing surgery on one of my toes. The surgery was practically painless. Throughout the whole process I always felt comfortable and confident in his care. He is a no nonsense doctor and will not sugar coat issues and likes to tell the patient exactly what is going on and what needs to be done. I have always admired this approach. Everybody there is very friendly. They create a comfortable environment and homey feel. I never have to wait long to get into a room or to see Dr. Grillo. Dr. Grillo is a very straight forward, no nonsense doctor. I appreciate this because he will not beat around the bush or sugar coat things. He was able to have a good idea of what was going on before any tests and when the tests came back they just confirmed his original diagnosis. He was able to explain things in a manner that it is easy to understand and took the time to answer any questions I had. He came up with a couple different routes I could take to help my condition and told me his recomendations as to the course we should take. For starts his staff is absolutely genuine and caring, couldn't ask for more. Dr. Grillo reviewed my MRI and multiple x-rays. He does not play games and is direct and to the point. He explained to me that I have multiple issues with my feet that need to be addressed. Dc Grillo has been the worst doctor I've ever been. He has been very rude screaming at me. I had surgery on 1/25/19 and went to see him 3 days later for post OP check up. He had left the wond open and he started squeezing i was in sever pain and he started screaming at me telling me that I was to hysterical and he couldn't treat me like that. I'd first want anyone who reads my review to know that Dr. Joseph Grillo and his wonderful staff was very professional, caring, and understanding. Even though I didnt have any insurance i was treated the same way as if i did. My Wife finding Dr. Grillo was the best find ever, because what he and his staff did for me in the one office visit, was way more than what I experienced from a previous Podiatrist who did nothing for me but take over $300 bucks in office visits. Dr. Grillo truly helped me any so many ways and what he done for me was worth way more than what the previous Podiatrist charged me. But yet, Dr. Grillo is very passionate about helping others, so knowing he's not ALL ABOUT THE MONEY and is truly into helping people better their lives is what he's about. Staff are so very nice!! I cannot say enough about them! But then the doctor came in... He gave the impression I was waisting his time. I have a genetic foot issue that I needed surgery for in my 20s and I noticed my 6 year old has it to, so I was trying to see if there was anything we could/should do to avoid some of the long term effects that I developed from the issue. He acted as if I was ridiculous for bringing her in since she is so young and made it clear there was nothing I can do other then good shoes. He knew what he was talking about, and for that I give him 3 starts, but he sure made me feel like I was trying to push him into treating my child when there was nothing to do at this point. I felt like I had to defend my reasoning for bringing her in a few times. He barely even looked at her feet, just came in saying he refused to do anything since she was so young. After I tried a few times to just find out if she even did have the same issue he finally asked her to stand up so he could look at how her feet were while standing, and that was all he did as far as an exam. Oh, and he completely made my child cry because he made it clear he didn't think her boots were good for her and she shouldn't wear them. My daughter is reasonable and if he would have just sat and chatted with her and explained it (as I did after the appointment) she would have understood and listened (she's also very type A), but he just treated her like they were the worst things ever and must be tossed, and they are of course her favorite boots. Again, as far as our short visit goes, he knew the answers, but bedside manner was terrible. I would't have been so annoyed if it didn't also involve my child. read more
