Diagnosed plantar fasciitis. Left foot. I got a shot in my foot , medicine to take and they wanted me to wear a boot. The girl says don't worry insurance covers it. I says all of it? She says she's never known a case for them not to. In the process of fitting the boot on my foot the girl actually was trying to decide which was the right boot for the left foot. As I tried to wear this it made my foot five times worse it seemed like my foot was facing outward as I'm trying to walk. I could not walk straight. After a couple days, I put it on my right foot. Walked around for a day I had no problems. Went in for my follow up appointment. Girls are charging me $40.52 for the boot, now saying insurance doesn't cover all of it. Also telling me that all boots are the same they go on either foot. girl at the front desk and the manager stood there basically calling me a liar saying that they did not tell me the boot was covered. One girl says there's a left and a right boot. The manager says that fits both feet. Really? I could not wear this boot and I had to pay for it. I canceled my appointment and walked out. I couldn't even get a word in edgewise they kept cutting me off, which made me get even louder and louder.I would have a general staff meeting and educate the whole staff on having the same correct information. years ago I had surgery with a fine Doc who has since retired....This time I went to both the Fort Myers Office and then was referred to the CC office where the "surgeon practiced". Rude nasty and worse attitude of his assistant. When I tried to move up the surgery because of the pain I have I was told "that's not important and other words to that effect. I requested that the "practice" owner Dr.Andrews call me.........still waiting!! I cancelled the surgery because I dislike them while awake...imagine under anesthesia!!! Awful experience read more

I highly recommend Dr. Michael Wilkins. I went to see him regarding an issue with my right foot, specifically Hammer Toe on the three middle toes. He advised a procedure involving the cutting of the tendon to release the toes. It worked great. The toes straightened, not completely, but enough to be able to walk again w/o any pain. This is particularly great as I had previously seen another Podiatrist 4 years earlier who said that the only thing available was surgery involving the breaking of the toes and the insertion of metal rods. Our experiences have all been positive with The Foot and Ankle Group. My wife saw Dr. Wilkins for a variety of foot problems, and he always patiently explained the issues, and advised a productive treatment plan. I saw Dr. Goldstein for a sudden swollen ankle with lots of pain. The office staff got me in to see him the same day, which was amazing, since the pain was constant, and I didn't have to lose any down time that week. Dr. Goldstein knew exactly how to treat the problem, and I was back to 'normal' (podiatrically speaking) the next day. The office is run professionally, and everyone is friendly and helpful. I had an outstanding experience at the Fort Myers Foot & Ankle Group location yesterday. Check-in was quick and easy with a friendly staff member. The technician who prepared me for the doctor was professional, friendly and carfully attended to my injury. Took my xray skillfully. Dr Andrews listened, reviewed the xray and mri, examined my foot and thoroughly explained the problem, described in detail the course of action necessary and what to expect in the coming weeks. His skill and demeanor was reassuring. I was professionally fitted with a boot, my prescription was called into my pharmacy and I was on my way in what I can only say was record time. DO NOT RECOMMEND. The staff is extremely rude, most specifically Kinsey at the front desk. She sighs, mumbles rude things under her breath, gets upset when the phone rings. All in front of the patients. I also had a question about the process for my surgery and Dr. Wilkins was very annoyed. He eventually calmed down enough to realize I was genuinely confused, but by then it was too late. I have scheduled with another surgeon. Shockingly unprofessional. read more

I went in for a sharp pain in the bottom of my foot when DR. Goldstein told me I had a planter wart and can be treated with a new treatment using the Swift machine. After 2 treatments my wart was gone and pain free. The only complaint I have is I wish they had the same machine at there Cape Coral location. read more

I got hurt during hurricane Irma. I have had a very stressful two years. I have seen doctor after doctor. I am in pain daily. Then to add to my injury I ended up with a toe that just added to my pain. So, I went to see Doctor Jerold S. Goldstein. Dr. Goldstein spent time explaining to me all my options. He was very caring and made sure I could understand my options. I had to get surgery. Knowing I had been through a lot this past two years he made sure he spent the time to make me feel like a person not just another client. I even sent my father to him. read more

I went in for a possible fractured big toe on 10/15/2018. They took xrays. Doctor Michael Wilkins came in said you have a broke toe. I never saw the xrays. He gave me a walking shoe which I was told to wear for 6-8 weeks. I declined the shoe, because I already had one from a previous injury. I have blue cross blue shield. My co-pay should have been $35.00. When I checked out, I was told I would have pay a $35.00 co-pay, $29.75 for xrays and $120.00 for a fracture GRT toe procedure closed. The definition of this code is "No open surgery or manipulation of the toe or foot is required. X-rays (reported separately) of the toe confirm a fracture or fractures of the bones where the fragments are in an acceptable position. The physician applies a splint, brace, or cast to the toe and foot." The keyword here is the physician applies a splint, brace or cast to the toe and foot. Dr. Wilkins did not apply anything to my foot. He handed me a walking shoe which I returned. The total cost of the office visit was $444.00. I paid $184.75. They turned in $444.00 to my insurance company. I cannot give an opnion on the Doctor or his treatments because I did not receive any type of treatment. I can only attest to the blatant over charging this office is doing. read more

Met with Dr Andrew, who was very nice, for a 2nd opinion on a foot fracture. I had explained that I did have an appt with my orthopedic specialist in 3 days (out of town at that time) since the specialist had treated me in the past. I was charged $600 for a 10 min appt. He never touched my foot. Three days later when I saw the specialist and met with him for 30 min, which included examining my foot and a full explanation of the X-rays and fracture, his charge was $276. I find the charge of $600 from Dr Andrew excessive and I called his office questioning this. I was told that was his charge and nothing would be done for me. read more

In my opinion, this is the worst group of Doctors ever! My experience with them has left me unable to stand, walk or work. I would have been better off with no treatment than the treatment I received from Dr Simmons and Dr. Goldstein. I now have two bad feet and ankles instead of one sore ankle. The surgery preformed by Dr Simmons destroyed my left foot. And the last injection that Dr. Goldstein did on my ankle, he pushed and twisted my foot so hard that I think he broke something. I can not put any weight on it, its swollen to twice its size and covered with a huge bruise. I have an appointment with another doctor to see what damage was done. In my opinion, if you value your ability to walk, stay far away from this office! read more
