Top care, efficient and a professional environment. I had a successful, pain-free treatment.

Experienced agonizing pain in my right foot. Finally contacted a Podiatrist (online referral…read morecarrying my insurance)). I was immediately offered an appointment. Dr. Kruse evaluated my feet and recommended a treatment plan that has improved my pain relief. The office is spacious and the staff were professional.

I had 2 appointments at this office. Both times it took 2 people to figure out how to charge my HSA…read moredebit card for the appointment, but finally got it to work after several minutes of trying. I came in to request new orthotics and with pain in my feet. First appointment took about 3 hours. Sat in the office about 30 minutes between each person coming to see me. They took me to x-ray my feet and I sat in that room for 30 minutes while they tried to get the machine working but never did. I asked Dr. DUSTIN KRUSE if I would be x-rayed at the next visit and he said it didn't matter - he was going to treat it with orthotics anyway. I thought this was strange - why were they going to x-ray them if it didn't matter to my treatment? I explained to him that I really liked my current orthotics, they work well with my sandals I wear a lot. He assured me the new ones would be better, but full length. Six weeks and $600 later I came in to be "fitted" with my new orthotic inserts. I was told to bring tennis shoes to fit them into. I told the lady helping me that I wanted to make sure they work for my sandals that I wear daily and she told me they can't be used with sandals. Meanwhile she had me put on the tennis shoe with the orthotic in it and it didn't fit at all - the arch support was pushing into my heal. I tried one with my sandal and it seemed to fit better, except that it was way too long and ugly - it looked like one of the inserts you buy at the drug store for $15, and just cut to fit your foot. The lady helping said "well you can go ahead and wear them that way, but it isn't recommended." She was unable to answer why it isn't recommended so she went to find out and try to figure out why the orthotic didn't fit in my shoe. When she came back into the room she had torn the inside of my expensive running shoes ($160) to try to make the orthotic insert fit. At this point I was so shocked I raised my voice a little to say "You tore apart my shoes?!" She started lecturing me about how you can't double layer the support. I asked "so I'm going to have to tear the insides out of all of my shoes to be able to wear these things?" She said yes, and she didn't like the way I was talking to her. I asked her to go get the Dr. Dustin Kruse to explain why he didn't tell me any of this at my original appointment. By the time the doctor got there, I was so upset that I started having an anxiety attack - which causes my throat to close and makes it very hard to speak or breath. While I struggled to breath, both the doctor and the assistant watched me without offering any type of assistance such as a drink of water, a tissue, or even a chair to keep from collapsing. When a regained my breath I told them I just wanted a refund, and I collected the torn apart pieces of my shoes and began walking to the front door. As I was walking toward the front desk the doctor yelled across the entire office, "We'll get you that refund but right now you are kicked out of this office." Wow, I guess he just wanted to add insult to injury. So, humiliated, I stopped at the front desk to ask if they could just cancel or reverse the charge they had just made to my credit card. A lady who I can only assume was from billing, came out and told me that they wouldn't reverse the charge but they'd send a check in a couple weeks. This doesn't seem like proper procedure either - refusing to reverse payment to the same method I used to pay in the first place, especially since it was an HSA card for medical use. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend this practice in general or Dustin Kruse specifically. I found him especially to be immature and unprofessional. It was horrifying to have him shout my name across the office building to tell me that I was kicked out for upsetting his assistant.
