Foot Locker was on the way to The Cheesecake Factory in the Mall. I looked but really didn't want to buy anything. I could have sworn there was a Converse Store nearby but it wasn't there this visit to the mall. I can't remember ever buying anything at any Foot Locker. I've been disappointed that they didn't have my size. Now that Fleet Feet with their excellent customer service is creating more locations, I doubt I'll ever go into another Foot Locker. Not sure about customer service training because I feel like a bother instead of feeling welcome. Went to buy Hokas, knew my color & size & wanted to walk in, purchase, walk out. It took almost 15-20 min & 2 workers to eventually come out with the shoe in the right size and model, but didn't have the color I said. It wasn't until I asked & was like Hey do you not have this color? & it took another minute or two to eventually see if it was in stock, which could have been told to me sooner that it was not. A lot of time spent on $185 sneakers after taxes especially when I walked in & showed 3 people what I wanted. Felt kinda shitty spending that much money after waiting so long and legit sitting around watching other people getting sized and given shoes to leave with nothing lol. They could definitely use more employees AND additional scanners to see what's in stock. I saw a couple of girls sharing a scanner which would make a lot more things more time efficient. I get it they're people too but so am I - and to have me wait around for something that expensive when I was verbal & even told a worker I'm trying to buy & go, not a fan FootLocker not a fan. Now that Modells is no longer around I find myself hitting Foot Lockers for everyday sneakers and running shoes. Sales are decent here actually for Nike. Pretty nice mall store. Spacious, organized, athletic clothes, gear, and helpful staff. I still like Modells better and which they were still around, but this chain is ok now and then for certain items. read more

This foot locker is located inside Queens Center Mall oddly enough right next to where the mall bathrooms are LOL. Now this foot locker is separated into 2 stores now, It is foot locker and the house of hoops for your basketball needs. you can walk into any one of the two and walk right thru to get to the other part you do not have to walk outside and go enter thru the other entrance, The wall that divides both stores is not there making this foot locker huge. Of course like any foot locker the prices are insane even the "discounted" onces. Plus if a new shoe is released for example a Kobe or a Jordan good luck reserving it because these Queens kids are on it so fast to get a pair of the freshest kicks. read more

I walked in with a friend and started glancing at a pair of converse that I was considering buying because mine have become all beat up. A sales girl was in the middle of helping someone, quickly finished with that customer and came over to ask me if I needed help. I asked for my size and expected her to take a while since the store was packed and she was helping someone before me and the place was pretty busy. The sales girl "Jennifer or Yennifer" (can't remember) returned less than five minutes later with the first customers sneakers and two pairs for myself to try on because she couldn't find my exact size. Fast customer service AND considerate (as most shoe salesman are snotty). I will be returning here every month to feed my converse addiction as long as they have a salesgirl like her! read more

When I was in high school many moons ago I used to work at a shoe retailer for almost two years. So I know -or at least I think I do- what it takes to work in type of environment (a mall which can be nuts, hectic, crazy, annoying, etc.). So I've been trying to find a pair of sneakers that fit me since I have wide feet. I've been on the hunt for weeks and despite previously thinking that Footlocker sucks I was hoping someone could help me. Guess what? Footlocker, or at least their customer service, still sucks. Big ones, in fact. When a guy offered "help" I began to tell him I was looking for wide shoes. As I was explaining I'd already tried some shoes previously he just ignored everything I said and began walking away. Then I specifically asked the sales person to get me two different sneakers in my size. Now, I had tried on one of these pairs of shoes several weeks ago and I never purchased them because I felt they were a little too snug. Anyway, I wanted to try them again (hoping they would fit better) along with another set. So the guy comes out with two boxes and I try on both pairs of shoes. However, this time the shoes I had tried on before felt very slightly long but overall great compared to the last time I tried these on weeks ago. I told him I was going to purchase them and he says "ok great. but you know these are not the size you asked for, right?" He goes on to explain that everyone wears this particular show a half size larger, which is really his way of saying "i want to make a sale even if these dont' fit." Well no wonder these fit great! Confused and annoyed I just left. I couldn't believe this kid knew he gave me the wrong size shoe but didn't even tell me. I don't understand why Footlocker is so ghetto. And I understand like all mall jobs, they primarily hire kids, but do any of them have any idea what it means to provide any real customer service? I hate you, Footlocker. read more

The store is beautiful and love the whole look. Probably the only reason I put a star. Customer service is always terrible. It seems as if they always have an issue with giving raffles or specific sizes of shoes. I go for raffles all the time, give a hard time about the hard raffles but the shoes that no one wants they'll throw a raffle down your face. Store opens up first come first serve and you might be the fifth person on the line yet they sold out your size. How if you're in front of the line. Basically the store does what it wants and as a long time shopper at foot locker has driven me away from continuing to buy from this store and possibly any other foot lockers. They can look up the vip status and you can see that I'm no casual shopper. Only 1 star because that's the minimum you can give. read more

I went to return sneakers I purchased a week ago for my son. I was told the return policy, which was you can return with receipt and the shoes can be tried on but not worn. My son tried them on and walked in my house with them but they were too stiff and uncomfortable for him. I went to return the sneakers thinking I'm going to be in and out but before I even got my receipt out the cashier starts examining the bottom of the shoes looking to see if they were worn. I tell her my son only tried them on explaining that's why the bottom isn't white but obviously wasn't dirty or worn. She calls the manager who tells me that I can only exchange them. I explained to her that I had my son try them on and I even asked the cashier that rung up the shoes when I purchased them the week before that I would be having my son try them on at home and if they don't fit I will bring them back, which she agreed was fine. Now I'm back at the store and they wanted to tell me something else only to get me to exchange so they won't have to give me money back. They were all so unprofessional and rude. I ended up going to another footlocker (different from where I purchased the shoes) and they returned them without any problems. The lady who returned them for me even looked at the bottom of the shoes and she said the shoes were fine when I explained how the other girls didn't allow me to return them. The footlocker in queens center is all about money and they don't try to help the customers, they just care about their commission they make on what you buy. They get no stars from me , unfortunately yelp only allows a one star minimum. read more

I proceed to hunt down an associate to get some help, finally Order a size 12 , the bitter passive agressive young woman takes 10 minutes to bring me a 12 1/2 telling me its almost the same. Has the audacity to seem annoyed because I won't purchase what I didn't order, its like damn if your going to be that unhelpful just go back to watching novelas at home or get knocked up and become a single mother so you can raise that little prince/princess. They're lack of in-store stock makes retail locations null and void, they constantly parrot the line "We can order it for you" sure and I can too Online. Foot Locker should merge with Best Buy as they both offer horrible customer service along with lackluster pricing.
