Things seemed a little sketchy, so I got dressed and was about to leave when her co-worker arrived. She looked older and very petite, and I didn't think she could do a good job (I prefer firm, deep pressure). Boy was I wrong! She began by asking how hard or soft I wanted and where my trouble spots were. After I told her, she got right to work. She used a variety of strokes - full body from shoulder to ankle, as well as small strokes on specific pressure points. She used her forearms, heels of her hand, thumbs, everything - all the while with firm, deep pressure. Her hands were soft but strong, plus she was very knowledgeable about the body's pressure points and musculature. I was very sore going in, and she worked almost all of that soreness out. Just shows you can't judge a book by it's cover! I'll definitely come back.

I sprinted up the steps to the door about two minutes after my one o'clock appointment time and was relieved to see the completely calm and collected massage therapist come in right behind me, undisturbed by my lack of punctuality. In the waiting room, I noticed a salt crystal lamp and mentioned that my uncle had given me one for Christmas one year. At first I thought it was a strange gift, but now I love it. Ashley, the massage therapist, explained that the salt crystal lamps discharge negative ions to counterbalance the positive ions with which we are bombarded every day from various electronic devices.
