I was in desperate need of some slides for a very bad case of plantar fasciitis. I bought a pair, but needed to return them the next day due to the the Velcro irritating my foot. In the meantime I went on Amazon & ordered a different brand. There was a short statue, bald man (if he was on meds, I think he was off them), who started YELLING at me when I said I wanted to return them. He kept yelling I didn't give him a chance to correct this. I tried to explain that when you have a bad case of plantar fasciitis, you need relief asap, so I had ordered it from Amazon. They did not have this same slide in stock anyway, and I needed relief. I previously was a customer, but that's the last place I will shop at. I was a Customer Service Mgr., & there is no way I would yell & treat a customer like that. He should be ashamed of himself. read more

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. The shoes were not in stock, every pair had to be ordered ... the gentleman who helped me had a pair of shoes he stretched on a machine it felt like a pair of cheap shoes once I tried them on... and he had the nerve to advise me of the price .. 254 dollars ...what a joke ! Great place to find good shoes! The owner was very knowledgeable and personable. He was helpful with picking out the shoes that will help with my plantar fasciitis. He knew exactly how to treat my foot problems and set me up with some basics to get my feet feeling great again. The prices were reasonable for what I needed. You get what you pay for. I have gone through many "cheap fixes" and nothing has made my feet feel this good and supported right away. I will be going back for any of my feet needs. read more

I have high arches and had heel and arch pain in one foot. I tried lots of inserts but nothing helped. Mark looked at my current shoes and inserts, had me walk around the shop, took careful foot measurements, and then recommended inserts and sandals with arch support. He helped confirm that what I had was plantar fasciitis. Mark sold me only what I needed and gave me detailed instructions on how to adjust to the new inserts and what activities might irritate my foot. For the first few days the inserts felt weird on my injured foot but comfortable on my other foot. After 2 weeks my foot felt a lot better and I could no longer feel the insert, and after 2 months all the pain is gone and I'm back to my old routine of 4+ miles each day. So happy I went! read more

I have visited this store on two occasions hoping to find comfortable shoes. Both visits I found the owner to be incredibly cocky and condescending. I left both times before finding the right shoe as I was uncomfortable with the service. I won't be back. read more

I went through a review of my feet as I have planter fasciitis. Mark the salesperson fitted me with over the counter orthodics that he said should solve the problem with my pf as well as other foot problems. I returned 3 weeks later for one orthodic to be tweeked as it hurt my foot with pf and I purchased a 2nd pair of orthodics. After wearing them for a couple of weeks I was unable to walk due to intense heal pain. I don't understand how a salesperson can just sell orthodics without measuring the foot or using a computerized method of accurately knowing how much the arch needs to be and just eyeballing the situation. Sure the orthodics felt good (at first) but I will not be returning to this store any time soon. read more

When I didn't get a call on the new arrival date I went to Mieras Family Shoes on Leonard in Grand Rapids and purchased my second and third choices of shoes that I had previously tried on at Foot Solutions. Both pairs were in stock and each pair were less at Mieras than at Foot Solutions. I did not purchase my first pick but I'm okay with how my buying experience ended. No nonsense, no excuses, great customer service, and no frustration. I will not be going back to Foot Solutions for anything in the future. I did receive a voice mail message from them the day after my ordered shoes arrived but did not respond and did not receive any other calls to follow-up to see when I was coming in to pick up shoes. Clearly, this place doesn't care about customer service, or at least not service to a brand new client. I didn't mention earlier but at my first appointment another lady entered the store with me; it was her first visit also. The sales person tried to assist both of us at once and I noted that his treatment of me was much more patient and nice than his treatment of her. The poor lady couldn't answer one of his questions to his satisfaction and his remarks to her with snide and condescending. If he had treated me like that out of the gate I would have left right away. She had driven in from Greenville and wanted to purchase shoes that day in hopes of lessening her foot pain. She sat through about 15 minutes of embarrassing treatment (I was embarrassed for her - of him) before she left when he went into the back room to check on something for me. When he came out and saw that she was gone, he said to me "I knew she didn't want me to help her...". It was then that I knew this place wasn't for me but still wanted to place my order because of my drive and time invested. Glad I won't ever have to go back. read more

Horrible customer service. They treat you poorly and make you feel dumb when you ask questions. On top of the poor customer service they are over priced. Go to Gazelles if you would like to be treated well and greeted with knowledgeable staff. The Owner said it was my fault that the $200 pair of shoes wore out only wearing them 2 weeks. read more

I love foot solutions. I'm a nurse and on my feet 12 hours+ a day. They helped me to get into shoes that completely eliminated my plantar facitis. You have to listen to what they tell you and not just go on looks of the shoes. If you tell them you work in healthcare they will give you a discount too!! read more

I was sent to this shoe store by my podiatrist. He gave me a flyer from the store with a $5 off coupon. Nowhere on the flyer does it tell that you should call and make an appointment to buy shoes. I am there with my daughter-in-law and two granddaughters and apparently I did not make a very good impression on the salesperson as he looked at my cheap athletic shoes and decided he didn't want to sell me any of the stores shoes. He told me he had four or five customers ahead of me and appointments made and would not be able to get to me for at least 45 or more minutes. Not once did he offer to make an appointment for me. I did see four adults and one child in the store, but there was another salesperson and figured I would have to wait a bit to be attended to. The way the man spoke to me after he sized me up and his attitude toward me made me feel that I had been insulted. I had money to spend, and yes, I was aware that their shoes are expensive as they are a specialty shoe store for those with foot problems. My foot problem being flexible flatfoot. I will not be going back, ever. read more

My husband bought two pairs of shoes here. One pair he was able to try on before ordering, the other wasn't in store, but the man helping him, Rob, said he just could return them if they didn't work out, so he ordered those too. When the shoes came in he went in to try them on and pick them up. He really liked one pair, but the other ones hurt his feet. He told the person helping him and again, the person said "try them for a few days walking around the house and you can always take them back if they still hurt." So he took them both home. After wearing for a few days they still hurt so he asked me to take them back for him. When I went to take them back just now, a different man and a woman both gave me a hard time immediately. The woman started complaining and said "but we special ordered these!" (Which, they didn't have them in the store so how could he have tried them on until they ordered them?) And the man came over and started raising his voice at me and complaining about the return. They told me that new shoes may not feel right until broken in and there are things we can do to manipulate them so they fit better, and if my husband came in to return them then they could've tried that. So that's when I mentioned that he did try them on when the order came in. Then the lady actually said "no" to that and shook her head. So I said "are you really saying no to that?" And she said it again that he didn't try them on even though he did! It was crazy. Then the man started grabbing the woman's shoulders and trying to move her and saying "go into the back room and stop saying things like that." They were just acting so stressful and over the top, it was really odd. They were extremely rude, condescending, and very much on edge. To be treated that way was so strange, to the point that I was literally standing there saying things like "this is crazy" and "this is so weird." At this point the man started apologizing to me for his reaction to my wanting to return the shoes. I told him we didn't want to cause trouble but wouldn't have ordered them unless they had told us we could return them. All of this was in front of other customers, one of whom was being talked to poorly by the man when I walked in. He said "that's going too far now. You're asking too much!" The customer laughed but all he said was "I'm sorry but I'm being serious" and then proceeded to tell her exactly what she came in for and what she told him she wanted because apparently she contradicted herself in his eyes or something. I will definitely never be back and if anyone mentions this place to me I will for sure tell them about how they treat people. read more
