The vegetables are literally throbbing with good vibes. Best of all, you get a seasonally different spread which exercises your cooking creativity. The lovely ladies who run this place tucked behind a church off Foothill Boulevard, have nurtured a wonderful California native plants garden that blooms with pops of color sequentially throughout the year. Their organization supports many local needy families with education, clothes, and financial assistance. The architecture itself is a contrast to euro-anglo-Claremont, and showcases indigenous mud-based architecture. The bilingualism of this organization demonstrates the riches of California and especially its hardworking and community-spirited Latino peoples. In contrast to the contrived, rugged individualism and commercialism of anglo-America , it feels welcoming and warm here. Bring cash to pay on site.

I say this because she just left me in the front saying the guys would help me. To her credit she did seem pretty busy however first impressions.... Didn't see any helpers so I went back again to the office part and a very friendly and polite young man sitting at one of the desks led me to a walk in fridge and immediately I fell in love. Basil, green beans cilantro eggplant Swiss chard kale turnips carrots guava wow. There was way more variety then that I could not recall them all. All grown right there on the property and cultivated with a love for healthy eating and respect. I was thrilled to have landed there. Fruits and veggies and herbs are not cheap in the grocery store and as I am coming to learn are often genetically modified and coated with who knows what kind of chemicals and pesticides. I loved the fact in First of all the place is huge. There is a Methodist church in the front then you take a long winding road with some turns the property was beautiful and I had one of my dogs with me who was recently attacked by a much bigger dog and was clearly traumatized by the incident. Scared to go outside and body language spoke for him. Dog owners know how to read and recognize their pets To watch my sweet little soul mate excited to be outside sniffing everything so many types of plants and vegetation birds singing, butterflies and bumble bees, up and down a few paths we explored. The young man told me that I'm welcome to come back they are open Monday thru Friday and if I wanted to come everyday that would fine too I left with 2 grocery bags full of wholesome and healthy produce and my dog and I left with a little more pep in our step due to our adventure in nature at this incredible place.

There are many Hippa, OSHA, Fire, Building code and First Aid concerns right off the bat. If you have asthma or breathing concerns, the cleaning solutions and air conditioner filters and dust are a problem when sleeping. In 2 weeks I never got the care I was promised and never met with my case worker to assist with my issue. The security treats you like you are in prison and searches your bags each entry. I find it weird that they know what you have before searching you stuff. Weird. I got kicked out of there for refusing to let the guard search my bag over and over for brief entries and exits. He seems to get joy demeaning people including seniors and starting fights. I refused to let the guard bully me and got kicked out by management without ever meeting with staff for my goals. A big waste of time and resources. The nutrition is a problem keeping you tired and unmotivated. Corn Dog, chips and sugar water for example. They also refused to serve me food several times so I went hungry. Bummer. The best part is when outside resources bring food in. Its way better than the breakfast for dinner option. Not good at all. Envision cold eggos waffles, hash brown and Luke warm sausages. One guy got sick and threw up in the dorm. Ridiculous. There is a lot of fighting and tension for the elderly and things go missing at random. Need I say more?

I just want to say thank you to the entire staff for answering questions and being so helpful the entire time I was there! Oso and I are very happy together and we've already made such a huge impact on each other! It's important for the integrity of the program and the safety and well-being of clients to address these matters. During my time at the shelter, the Director was rarely present. When she did come in, her behavior was deeply unprofessional and concerning. On multiple occasions, she: * Spoke negatively about other staff members and shared personal problems inappropriately with residents. * Appeared to be under the influence. * She had a male visitor in her office for extended periods, and the door was closed. * Spoke to residents in an unprofessional and inappropriate manner, using street slang and disrespectful language that made many of us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. This kind of behavior is not reflective of the trauma-informed, respectful, and supportive environment that domestic violence survivors need. I am disappointed and hope this feedback will be taken seriously to improve the experience for future residents. Thank you for your time and for the work you do to support survivors. There's a set of steps with pillows on each step with a block of about six outlets beside them, and a really comfy, sinky couch (plus an ottoman and two comfy looking armchairs and a big table in the middle) with a set of two outlets on the wall and a star shaped power strip sticking out of the ground with six outlets coming out of it. There are also regular tables and it seems like there are outlets beside them as well. WIFI: The wifi is open (no password necessary), even though they have a password listed where you pick up your food (it's just Sanctuary Coffee). I tried to use one of the locked ones (the only one that made sense), but the wifi password didn't work, so I'm not sure why they have one listed. Regardless, albeit not the fastest wifi I've ever used, it's incredibly doable. I have been working remote here for 1.5 hrs and had almost no issues. MENU: For LA, relatively cheap. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so I got the peach Italian soda, which was yummy. I believe it was about $4.89, which is not bad at all. I went to And Destroy in the Highland Park-ish area, and I believe an Italian soda with cream (cream is free here) was maybe $7-8. I'm used to paying more for drinks because the specialty (non coffee and tea) drinks are usually pricey, but this was one of the cheapest things on the menu. Also, you can claim a free pastry with your email and first name on their website (it sends you a voucher, just show the email). I got the banana bread, which was fine. I would've gotten zucchini, but it wasn't chocolate chip zucchini. ATMOSPHERE: Not too loud, the music is nice and chill and not very loud. There's cute art on the walls and homey looking lamps. It's the quintessential living room coffee shop, perhaps even rivaling Republik Coffee in Burbank in comfiness, noise level, aesthetic, and price (which is a bummer, because I likely will never be back - we just happened to be in North Pomona today, and I have no idea when we'd ever elect to drive this far again LOL). PARKING: It's in a little strip mall, so there's an actual aboveground lot with plenty of free parking (at least I think it's free, I got dropped off so I didn't pay much attention). Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking to cowork in a cozy atmosphere for relatively cheap in the North Pomona area. It checks all of my boxes except distance from home. I hope this review helps someone, because I always try to find this information on Yelp about new places to visit and it can be very difficult to find! BATHROOM: I believe there are two single person bathrooms like not stalls just one bathroom. Cute art and aesthetic inside, there are hooks on the walls for your stuff. The air dryer was not very strong and there were no paper towels or seat covers, but other than that there was a nice faucet and cute nice soap like homey soap you'd see in someone's house, and the lock worked fine.
