Don't know. My daughter shows us very little of what she learns. The dance performance she dis at school was kinda weak; teacher said they only learned the dance that morning. My question was why they only prepared in the morning instead of 2 weeks ago. In any case, the key thing for us is the fun factor. And my daughter has a lot of fun. That's why the 4 stars. Remembering you child's name might not be a big deal to you but it means the world to the dancers and it also reflects her passion and attention to detail. I am really saddened to post a negative review about a local business. My daughter started ballet at the conservatory about seven months ago when she was still four. In the beginning she loved going and would twirl around the house and dream of being a ballerina. A little after five she moved up to the next class level. The new class was a bit more challenging, and went from 45 minutes to an hour, but she was still enjoying it and learning a lot. Everything went downhill when tryouts for the Nutcracker began. Firstly, we needed to pay $20 for tryouts, which did not seem right to me since tryouts were held during her regular class time that we were paying for. After she was given a role, the classes switched to 1.5 hours. That is a VERY long time for a 5 year old, and they are given only one or two very brief breaks for water during this time. The lighthearted feel of the class disappeared and most of the young girls are visibly exhausted at the end. My daughter started to dread going and admitted to me that it is no longer fun for her. She said she is dreading Christmas because she knows she has to keep practicing for the Nutracker, and she hates the long classes and that she isn't allowed more water breaks. When I emailed the conservatory to tell them we wanted to cancel, I asked about getting a refund for the $100 Nutracker fee. Originally I was told it was for the cost of the costume, which she has not yet been fitted for, so I did not think it would be an issue. However, I was told this cost will not be refunded because it is for "production fee costs." The only thing she has received is grueling 1.5 hour classes that we did not want in the first place. I was also told that I will not receive even a partial fee for the monthly tuition costs despite the fact that she will not be attending any classes this month. I was also informed that they will be making adjustments to classes, and if she comes and finishes out the month they may consider a nutcracker fee refund. At this point my daughter has had ballet ruined for her so it is a bit late for that. Overall I feel the young students are being pushed beyond what is appropriate so that the studio can have their Nutcracker performance. Again, I don't love leaving a negative review for a local business but I think other's need to consider this when enrolling a young child at this studio.

Every mother's dream is that their children will find their place and they feel loved and welcomed…read moreby their peers. Today fills my heart so much it may explode. My oldest daughter was having a moment of self doubt when she was invited to join another dance with her group. We have been with Kinetic for, now, our 3rd Season, but she took a year off to try cheerleading, got injured, and could not do anything last year. This is her first season back. She felt she wasn't good enough and the whole team went and dragged her back in to be with her team. It was amazing to see these girls embrace and empower her. She went from a wilted demeanor to a whole new girl in an hour. Thank you Juniors and Bianca Wilde. I love what you do to my girls. This is one of those moments that brings a tough woman to happy tears. Again, I cannot thank you enough. She needed that more than you know. This is my middle daughter's second year in KDC. She has become a confident and beautiful dancer. To see her come alive and have a solid relationship with her friends and team just makes her glow and makes me so proud. These kiddos are so talented and they have a bond that is so strong. "Family is not what you are given, but what you make". This is our 3rd year at Kinetic Dance and I never thought it would fill their lives the way it does. Our youngest is still coming into herself. To watch her grow with these kiddos and to see her actually WANT to try is so amazing. Avery tends to be the baby and definitely wants a baby treatment. She is on her own this year (she's used to gliding on her siste current) and she feels like she belongs. I'm so glad that Kinetic embraces "The best dancer is a nice dancer" motto. When a little girl feels totally awkward and unsure of herself, having a group of kiddos and teachers that help you is worth more than anyone knows. These are all things that absolutely make our lives up here. We are transplants here and I genuinely appreciate the Kinetic family and all that it stands for. My son would come home to tell me that he didn't learn anything in class and how he was really disappointed, and it was not because my son wasn't interested in break dancing (he was the one who begged me to sign him up for it). PLEASE hire someone with more credentials. I feel like Mr. Jason just teaches because it's his job, not his passion and you can really see it. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

I arranged a private lesson with Janette and signed up immediately. Janette has been AMAZING! She honed in immediately on the things that were holding me back and works every lesson to move me past them. She is patient and kind but still pushes me to exceed what I believe I can do. Now in my mid fifties, not only am I getting the exercise I need, I'm reshaping my body, my posture, my balance, my whole body is changing in just a month. I feel wonderful when I leave the studio and look forward to every lesson. (not always the case for me with exercise ;-) The studio is warm and inviting. Janette is an incredible teacher with so much experience and such good insights. The classes for the young students begin at an early hour in order to allow the young ones to be home for dinner. They even have a Saturday morning class for 3-6 year olds! Pam and Zara are both seasoned instructors who deeply care about helping students who wish to focus on classical ballet, so this is a studio that accomodates the growing needs of a ballet student. Training begins gently and the next thing you know, your child will be dancing beautifully. They are always mindful to teach and explain the proper way to execute the exercises rather than simply running class as many studios do. I continued as a client and had various 1:1 sessions with her, joined events and participated in monthly moon circles. Every time I meet with Shakti, I leave feeling supported, emotionally grounded and like anything I desire in life is possible.
