I was shocked to later receive a separate charge for an office visit based solely on that brief conversation. I am a relatively new patient and was not aware this was their billing practice. My previous doctor never charged me for this, so I will be returning to them as a patient. I also called the office for clarification, but unfortunately Dr. Abraham has not returned my call. In summary, if you have a minor medical condition that requires an annual prescription renewal, do not seek care at Rocky Hill Family Physicians.

I know she has been a dentist for years but recently opened her own practice. She has a great location and her staff is also amazing. I think one of the reasons I was so impressed was that she and her staff are genuine. The last dentist I had I didn't know at all, despite going to him for 6 years. He'd make the same lame small talk during his 1-minute exam after my cleaning, "Boy this is getting to be a hot summer....Oh those Vols had a bad game...." Dr. Smith was genuinely interested in me and we had a nice chat before, sort of during, and after my exam and cleaning. A friend recommended Dr. Smith and her location and hours made it easy to try. It was the best cleaning I've ever had, her exam encompassed things I'd never seen before, and I left with such a good feeling that I want others to give her a try. One HUGE benefit right now during Covid is that she does NOT see 30 patients a day like so many of the other offices. She has three separate workspaces and she only sees one patient at a time in the office. There aren't 10 other patients getting cleanings. I don't walk in and sit right down where someone else had been a couple minutes before. I was told that because she rotates the work stations each is left vacant for some time before the next patient. If it's time for your cleaning and you are a bit worried about going to your high volume dentist, give Blue Dog a try. Can't say enough nice things about her. Best dentist I've had in 30 years, at least.

Because the answer was always "no" or him doubting me or making this process of trying to get something complicated diagnosed even harder by making me argue for every single thing. Like filling out short term disability paperwork when I was going on FMLA leave. Everything was already hard and he made it harder. The most recent time, when I called to ask their office manager what to do when the doctor can't help, I got a certified letter from Dr French firing me. Dr French wants to do the basic work and then go home and not think about his job or his patients. I kind of think he wants to not think about his patients when they're in the room too. I was told that because I do not have insurance, it would cost $250. Fine, no problem, I know it costs money, so I paid it and I paid upfront before ever seeing a doctor, or a PA as it turns out. I now have a bill for another $109. They did blood work, I figured it was to test my thyroid as that is the prescription I needed refilled. They never told me though what was being tested, or that it was being sent out. Blood work normally costs me $75 with no insurance in California, I received a bill from Quest for $1,131!!! At no time during my visit was I told there would be additional charges like this. If they had said, "we are sending your blood out for X, Y, and Z and a rough estimate of cost will be $X, I would have said no thank you, only test the thing I need right now. How can Maltman Medical get away with this! I wish I would have read the reviews on here before scheduling an appointment.
