I would not recommend this veterinary hospital if you want any assistance for your pet. The people who work here do not return phone calls. I not only left a message and five days later still have not received a return call. To add insult I physically visited the facility to pick up scripts and told them I was waiting for a call back and was ignored. It took 3 days to get my dogs records. Last annual checkup with my dog the technician wanted to draw blood from my dogs neck. She said he was 7 so they wanted to draw from the neck. My dog could not have sat calmer and the technician try twice before I had her get someone else. The second person was successful on the first try. The original technician told me it was difficult because my dog had too much fur? My dog has as much fur as a golden retriever. We were a client for the past 3 1/2 years but have decided it's best to move on. Good luck to anyone who chooses to use them read more

This facility is just operating standard, as the valuable service one expects from county vet services for strays or dogs whose owners cannot afford wellness care. Reception desk lacks enthusiam as the face of a business. Foothills used to have a senior Veterinarian versed in holistic healing. I found this very helpful, unique, and welcomed even if the protocal was ultimately prescription medication. Pets wellness is dependent on our attention and voice, so here is mine! read more

I was very displeased with my visit with Dr. Kussin. He was very rude and disrespectful and most importantly unsympathetic. He displayed no sympathy or bedside manner concerning my dog/family's situation. We have been taking our pets to Foothills for 20 years and he treated me like I was someone off the streets that their facility had never seen before. He didn't even refer to me by my name nor did he treat me with any kindness and I had come to the vet thinking I was going to put my dog down. We ended up taking our dog home and will not be going back regardless of the situation. I would never choose to have my last moment with my dog in this vet's office. read more

Looking for a kind patient groomer? One that doesn't shame you and your pets for having some mats that will ruin (her words) her grooming tools? One that doesn't grab your pups ear aggressively to see how the inside of their ears look? One that lets you know she would be doing you a HUGE favor if you decided you HAD to leave your dogs for grooming. Our only choice was to look out for the BEST interests of our pets so we left. I just moved to Greenville and found Foothills Vet on Yelp. My pup Denver was diagnosed with heartworms (from the animal shelter) before I moved and I had to find a vet here to do his treatments. I had my initial consultation with Dr. Brown, who was amazing and very patient. I had a lot of questions and she was very thorough and kind. She offered different options of treatments and gave me a quote for how much the total heartworm treatments would cost. Denver has finished his treatments at this point. When I brought him in, the staff were all very nice to him and always got his tail wagging. They always respond to my emails within a business day. They are also taking great precautions with COVID. All owners and staff are required to wear masks. Owners' temperatures are taken at the door. Seating is spaced out (as much as they can). Only one pet parent is allowed in the building. And owners sit right outside each room so that they're never in any enclosed space. I highly recommend Foothills Vet to everyone. read more

The staff is mostly friendly...but I would never return here. My dog has allergies and it seems as if the vets could never figure out what was wrong with her. Multiple times they would say allergies...or fleas..but what would they do? Charge me a lot to get a few prednisone pills and multiple skin scrapes every time. I would go back after 2-4 months and the last time I went the vet started freaking out on me to the point where I felt extremely uncomfortable with her touching my dog. For years I was happy here. Since they have moved to a new location and added the new doctors, it's about the money with them, not about the animals. I don't care if the person seeing my dog has granite counters, new decor and fixtures, or fancy top of the line stainless exam tables. This past Thursday, Buddy, my mom's golden retriever, got caught in part of our fence and ripped part of his ear open. I frantically called Foothills at 5:00 PM- they told me to come in ASAP. As soon as I arrived, they rushed Buddy into the back and immediately attended to him. They were able to sedate him and suture his ear, as well as his paw, which had also been cut in the process of him trying to free himself. Every single person, from the wonderful ladies up front, to the amazing veterinary assistants, and both Dr. Brown and Dr. Duncan, were all so supportive, kind, attentive, and sympathetic. Every one of them stayed until 7:00 PM to ensure that Buddy was attended to. I will forever be a client of Foothills. They TRULY care about animals, and were so quick and willing to help my situation, despite the fact that their office was closing for the day when I called. Thank you to EVERYONE who assisted Buddy and made sure that he was well taken care of. He is doing so much better and is on the mend, thanks to every single one of you! read more

Through all of this they provide consistently good service. I like both of the Vets here and all of the Vet techs are great too. Always running behind schedule. Shiloh and Kathy will keep chatting away mindlessly while other customers are in line waiting to be helped. They focus more on chit chat than in getting your dog checked in with accurate instructions. I have had to repeat the instructions for them over and over because they will say okay here is the ___ mg for Pet 1 and I will have to say, hold on that's not the right dose for his weight. They have had the wrong doses, the wrong weights and the wrong treatments written into my dogs charts. I've had enough. As far as the actual veterinary care, they do a good job - my dogs seem in good health. But thank god I was there today since Shiloh wrote down the wrong treatments for my dogs and got their names mixed up - AGAIN. It says on the chart the name of the dog along with the name of the breed. My dogs look NOTHING like each other. Look at the chart. If you cant tell a purebred WHITE Jack Russell from a BLACK mutt, then you have serious problems lady. FED UP!!! On top of which, when I told the female vet (Dr. C?) that the instructions were wrong she had a hissy fit, screaming that's not MY FAULT, I DIDNT write it down. Okay, but the instructions are wrong, so let me give it to you straight. Ridiculous. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, TERRIBLE ATTITUDE. And they give your dogs copious amounts of snacks without even asking your permission. My dogs are too small to be getting constant influxes of extra calories and I only feed organice. PLEASE ASK ME BEFORE FEEDING MY DOGS. You are a professional in the pet care field - this is DOGS 101, people. I'll take my next 25 years of business elsewhere thank you. read more

We've been taking our cat Webber to Foothills Veterinary Hospital for three years now. The staff there is exceptionally friendly and everyone really enjoys seeing us come in. Webber became very ill one weekend and we made an appointment to have him checked out. Dr. Randall made him a top priority because time was of the essence. He may very well have saved Webber's life. Webber received great care for those few days.
