When they quoted me the price, I wanted to walk out on them but decided against it because I was already there and I am new to Baltimore. They knew how much other shoe repair charged and their argument for adding an additional $50 to the $100 that other places charge was their quality of work was better. No, their quality of work was not better and there is nothing special that they did that justify the 50% mark up. It was equal to other places I have gone to across the US. Their service wasn't better either as I have had quicker and just as good quality of work as they did. Dan Brothers are a rip off! They should provide fair pricing.

Because the size selection here is lacking (though this may be because it is a small shop). And because the prices are just so high. If I could afford to drop 1,200 on a blazer, maybe I could appreciate it more. Until then (read: never), I will continue looking in the window and thinking I'd rather go to Italy than buy a pair of shoes that'd pay my way there.
