Our flooring installation was ~1800 sq ft with difficult demolition. In spite of this, It took just a little over 2 weeks from the time I first contacted Dan until Eder and Team had completed the work. They may have even be able to complete it sooner if we hadn't needed a few days to get our materials and be ready to go. Not only did they finish the job ahead of schedule, but the quality of the work was great too. Eder's demolition/installation Team truly worked harder than I think I have ever witnessed. We've lived with our old flooring for a little over ten years - little kids, pets, moving furniture around haphazardly, and a bit of water damage left the floors looking more than just a little distressed. The folks at Footprints floors gave us a free estimate and walk through and the refinishing was beautiful. I was tired of the super shiny, overly-warm (leaned Orange) flooring color. We switched to a more modern dark walnut with a satin finish and it's everything I wanted. The guys came in and covered our rooms and cabinets with plastic sheeting and masked areas that were susceptible to dust. The entire main floor was sanded, buffed, and restrained in 3 days. Last week we had our hickory floors refinished by Footprints Floors, Castle Rock. Dan the owner, was professional, fairly-priced, and took the time to answer all of the questions we had. His crew, Genaro and Marvin were also professional, responsive and highly skilled. They taped and hung plastic as needed. The sawdust was kept to a minimum and when they left the area was clean. Our hickory floors had some water stains and had yellowed over time. Triple levels of sanding and triple coats of sealing turned our floors into a masterpiece. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - Dan Satchell, franchise owner of Footprints Floors Castle Rock, makes empty promises and as a previous reviewer states "Hopeless communication and no follow through." I've had nothing but problems getting Dan to fix installation issues on the laminate floor job done in our home in March 2022. Several months after installation, the 3 boards separated leaving large gaps. I notified Dan on May 4th of the issue and after MANY text messages and phone calls initiated by me, I finally got a crew out to my home on June 15th. The second crew also had issues making a simple angled cut on my transition pieces and left huge gaps between the carpet and flooring. Another call to Dan and he agreed the installation was again done poorly. Dan agreed to order more transition pieces to fix the mistakes of the second crew. This was on June 16th. Two weeks go by and no contact from Dan. I again start the phone calls and text messages to him to find out when my flooring would be fixed. I was finally told the materials arrived on July 8th he'll "see about scheduling me next week". Another week goes by and no communication from Dan. My last text communication with Dan occurred yesterday July 13th, and after screening my calls, I am uncertain if my floors will ever be fixed. I have no confidence in him with all the empty promises and lack of communication. My floors remain unfinished 3 1/2 months after the initial installation and this whole ordeal has been nothing but a nightmare I hope Dan takes the opportunity to make this right or I'll either have to order more materials and fix it myself or hire another installer and take this up in small claims court. Dan and his crew helped us out of a bind as our refrigerator leaked and our wood floors that Footprints Floors installed last year (to the day) got severely damaged. We were worried that we might have to redo the entire main level. Dan assured my wife and I that they will be able to not only fix the damaged boards, but also be able to lace the stain in making it look like nothing happened. The first thing that they did was a moisture test and they communicated to us immediately that the damage is not too bad and that, while some boards needed to be replaced, the rest can just be sanded and then stained and coated to match the existing floor. Hearing this made us feel better, but, still, we were worried that this may no happen. We kept getting reassurances from Dan and his team that all will be okay and to just be patient. Well, here we are after a few days that the work started and we are amazed at the tremendous job Dan and his team did on our wood floors! It really doesn't look like anything happened!! Everyone has their own experiences, but I was able to text Dan and he responded promptly with my questions. He and his team really cared about our needs and wanted to make sure we were satisfied in every way. In fact, we just asked for an extra coat and Dan went out of his way to ensure that someone comes tomorrow morning to get this done!!! This company should go out of business with the way they conduct their business. We've been so patient with Dan and his team with fixing our flooring that they messed up on. Almost 6+ months after the initial install we have been pushed aside and the burden has been on us to follow up when it should be the other way around. The owner, Dan is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of. Dan and Kevin have been giving us the runaround. They told us they would fix this and make it right! ...weeks later they said they can't do the wood lacing after all and that they would have to put carpet back in instead...weeks later we all decided to go back to the carpet route...weeks later we picked out carpet to match the carpet already in our home and was suppose to be ordered...weeks later Kevin said we would be appointed soon....weeks later nothing. I'm led to believe their promises were nothing but 100% empty lies. The lack of compassion and integrity has baffled me. We were assured the job would get done right, we were assured that our flooring could be laced in only to be told that it couldn't be fixed after their botched job. Instead, we are left with flooring that is lifting, cracked, baseboards that need replacing and gaps. I rarely write a one star review but if I could give them zero, I would. We had our 22 year old hardwood floors refinished and some LVP installed in another area. they did an excellent job and clean up afterwards. If you are looking for long lasting floors definitely not the company to use, honestly it's a joke! Our floors like like they are 20 years old already! They had to re-do them after a couple weeks because they didn't use the finish we paid for, they thought they could get away with cheap crap. So they said they refinished with a high quality finish....ha yea that's a JOKE too! Such a waste of money and time. Sounds like this is how Dan does business after reading other reviews. Our floors were installed in May ($15k). We reached out to Dan regarding our concerns about the finish by July. He came to our home in August and we came to a decision of redoing the floors at the cost of the stain ($500-700) but we'd have to move all our furniture from our main floor for up to two weeks.
