The owner is incredibly insulting. She came right out and insulted me and then gladly took my money. I didn't realize what happened until later - I guess I was in shock. She's tired of selling bras....fine. She's cranky and over it....fine. Let someone else do it, then. Why keep working behind a counter if you're so tired of it all? My god. Why was my review "filtered?" It is a true account of my third visit to this store. In fact, all the negative reviews that seem to give true accounts of the service received at this store have been filtered. Seems super shady Yelp! Terrible service recently! The sales people are very uninterested, rude and didn't listen to the specifics I was trying to give them about what I'd like in a bra. After shopping here for 5 years, I will never go back. Last time I shopped there the sales girl sold me a bra that was ill-fitting and kept saying that I need to get into it the right way. Since I had bought great bras here before, I went on that trust. Also, recently I went to purchase simple T-shirt bras and kept asking for the brand I had purchased there last time and both sales girls said they'd never heard of it. The sales girl gave me a bunch of ill fitting bras and stuck me in a dressing room and just left me there with no help. She was helping someone else. It's really fun hanging out in a dressing room in a small shop with your bra on and nothing else. You're better off shopping at Nordstrom for bras. They will do the fitting just as well. read more

While I wish that so many people didn't have to incur the wrath and aggression of Footsie's owner, Lisa, I am glad I'm not the only one who had such a toxic encounter with her, who (I agree with a previous yelp reviewer) is a BULLY. Watch out future shoppers! You are in for quite a horrific experience if you purchase a bra from Footsie and encounter Lisa. One week ago, I decided to finally purchase a "nice" bra, as so many of my friends kept telling me it's worth it, since I hate wearing bras. So, I went to Footsie, got fitted by a nice sales woman, and purchased two bras, one of which I was very happy about. However, after trying on the other bra one more time at home, I decided, "Nope. This is just not that comfortable for $88." I walked in to Footsie 6 days later and with very calm voice asked if I could exchange the bra. Lisa, the owner, who again seems to have a reputation for being a BULLY and rude to customers, started on the attack right away, raising her voice at me, and scolding me for how I folded the bra. I remained silent the entire time as she went on her tirade. When she finally stopped, I simply asked her why she was being so mean and explained to her that I understand her policy, but had she said it in a kind manner, I would have just taken what she said, accepted it, and left. However, now that she has upset me because of how horribly she treated me, I wanted to know why she had such a caustic delivery. She kept saying, "That's just how I am. If you don't like it, go shop at a department store." Isn't the whole purpose of shopping at a small boutique to get better customer service than a department store? Mmmmmm... Then, she proceeded to say, "I've had this policy for 30 years. I've been in business for 30 years and no one has had a problem with it." Um, check Yelp, Lisa...There are more than a few people who have a problem with it--or more specifically, YOU. She even tried to get one other person who was in the store on her "band wagon," remarking, "Ask her. She's been a customer for years." No thanks, Lisa, I'd rather keep this lovely conversation between the two of us and not subject a second person to your toxicity. Anyway, long story short, I once again in a calm voice told her that I would not be recommending her business to anyone and she said, "Good." Okey dokey. God bless. at my wits end at wearing uncomfortable, ill-fitting bras. i had heard about Footsie yesterday and decided that i could not skip going there.wellllllllll, better than valium, better than going for therapy- this is THE place to go for a comfortable bra that "does its job while being socially acceptably pretty" the selection is great and the "bra ladies" are helpful and know what works. it was a great experience..... and i might add that the prices are realistic and competitive so don't go anywhere else for bras. thank you Footsie for all your help. read more

I came to this store because I usually get excellent service and products at its affiliated store, Pink Lili, up the street (more upscale lingerie), and they suggested to come here for a basic nude bra. Unfortunately, I had a totally different experience at Footsie. The help rushed me through the process, fighting me along the way in what my actually size is because they were out of my real size. They have a very restrictive no-return policy, which I respect, and the store owner, Lisa, was incredibly rude. She actually told me she was doing me a favor when I exchanged a bra 15 min. after wearing it out of the store because it was giving me a visible rash. I will not be shopping there again and would not recommend this store to anyone. read more

My daughter and I stumbled upon Footsies while on vacation. Both of us had the best fitting EVER (by the owner). I found out I was wearing the wrong size. I've bought underwear from this store for many years, they carry nice, practical bras, however, I had a very bad experience there today. I went to exchange a pair of tights I had bought a few hours earlier (realizing once I got in the car that I had bought the wrong size) but was falsely accused by the owner of having opened the sealed package. I had not. She did exchange the tights, but not before forcing me to listen to a very nasty lecture about how she had lost a customer who was worth, "$40,000 of business a year" because of a pubic hair found in a pair of pantyhose. read more

Buyer Beware! I Have never written a review before but feel compelled to do so now. This is my second time purchasing bra's from Footsie. I was fitted for three bras on Monday and wore one on Tuesday that cut into my breast and was completely uncomfortable. Tried the second bra the next day that too was too tight I decided not to wear the third bra and return to the store with my bras. They said NO can't help you. They provide the service of fitting the bras for you and they must be right! Wow what horrible customer service. I have been in retail my entire life and can't imagine treating a customer like that. This has pretty much been the only place I buy bras for seven years now and I have lived in San Francisco for the last 6 years. This is because not only did the fantastic people at Footsie show me that I'd been wearing the wrong size for years, but they are the only place I've found that carry a large selection of practical and sexy bras in my very rare size (32 F!). I just had the most upsetting experience in this store. It's local and the products are beautiful, this is why I go, even though the prices are very high. I purchased something about a month ago and also tried on a bikini. I didn't buy the bikini but thought about it over the month. I just went back today to buy it. They didn't have the size I tried on last month. The owner or manager was SO RUDE. She was chatting with me and explained that she probably returned my size because it didn't sell but that she could order it for me. At the same time, she got angry that I was taking up her time because she was helping two other customers who were ahead of me. I didn't have a problem waiting my turn but since she kept talking with me, I continued talking with her. Each time she talked, she became more annoyed that I wasn't waiting my turn. I am a quiet, shy person and definitely did not demand her attention. She said she was the only one able to help me so when her sales person asked for my name to have her call me, I said I think I am going to leave because she was so rude to me. When she heard me say that, she interrupted her work again to yell at me to say that she was not rude. I said I didn't understand why she has to be so rude and she told me to go to Beverly Hills to find my bikini, they should have my size there. Her sales people were apologetic when I left. What a shame to treat customers that way. Unfortunately now I won't return to this store, which is disappointing because I like the products there. read more

I don't like to write bad reviews, so I decided to ignore some of the other reviews of this store in order to see for myself. They do carry some brands department stores do not and claim to be bra fitting experts. I found the owner uninterested in her customer and in a huge rush to make a sale. She spent some time with me doing the fitting and showing me several bras. She tried to convince me that certain bras would look fine under t-shirts, but they did not. Since she does not take returns, I desisted. However, the bra she did sell me was not my size, though she insisted it was. It was one band width too small. When I got home and tried it on with my clothes, I felt as if I were choking. I brought it back the next day. She said, "well, what do you want to do? I spent a lot of time with you yesterday. I'll take it back if you want. So tell me what you want me to do." In other words, she was saying she deigned to give me her time, what else could I want? What a piece of work. I thought for a moment, and rather than exchange the bra for the next size, I decided to get my money back. I don't want to do business with her. She said, "I'll erase you from the computer." Wow. Beware!! They don't accept returns or exchanges at all and they conveniently don't tell you that when you are making a purchase. The sales woman (also owner or manager?) fit me into a bra that does not fit me correctly and did not look right under my clothes when I took it home. I went to return it 2 days later without knowing about their return policy and found out I now have to keep this $70 bra that I will never wear. On top of that the sales woman who sold me the bra was so rude and insulting to me when I came back to return the bra, telling me I don't know how to put on a bra properly. When I went into the dressing room to try on the bra again, she and another girl that works there were talking about me while I was in the dressing room. So unprofessional. I will never go back to this place. They claim they know how to fit you but, watch out ladies, they just want your money and don't care whether you are a happy customer. Not very smart if they expect customers to come back. Go to Nordstroms or Bloomingdales. MUCH better selection and WAY better customer service. Plus if something doesn't work out, which happens to all of us, you can return merchandise. What a concept! read more
