It's even more frustrating how some of these same businesses try to accuse customers of getting over on them for decisions that they themselves have made. I've been getting my hair done by Claudette for several years now and for the most part it's been great. I've always gotten a ton of compliments on my hair, and I've shared her business with numerous friends, sorority sisters, and even strangers in the grocery store. My hair has consistently looks great and for the most part our appointments have been timely, which I greatly appreciate! I can make a hair appointment and still have time to enjoy the rest of my day. She's been flexible on the occasions that I've been late, and I've extended to her the same courtesy when she's running behind. From my perspective, we had a pretty good working relationship. A few months back, she started changing the way she was braiding my hair and incorporated. braiding hair. Ever since then, I've noticed that my hair doesn't last as long, and sometimes the crochets slip out, especially in the front. This last time, a little over a week after My appointment, two the crochets slipped out in the front. I sent her a quick text to let her know and showed her a picture, with the intention of trying to figure out what changes we can make to the braiding structure so that it doesn't happen again. I was very surprised when she sent me a note saying that she would refund my money and asking me to find another stylist, noting that she had given me several discounts in the past. I told her that my intention in notifying her was to see how we could resolve the issue together, not to receive any additional discounts. I also told her that I did not want a refund. I want to acknowledge that she had previously provided me discounted services after she had to redo a set of crochets that she had done about week prior. However, the most recent discount she offered me was because she was 4 HOURS LATE for my appointment, and I wasn't able to reschedule because I was flying to New Orleans for a wedding the next morning. At no point did I ever ask Claudette for any of discounts she offered, and was prepared to pay full price for all of my services if asked. I was under the impression that these discounts were an act of good faith and an extension of professional courtesy for my inconvenience. However, it's a shame that unfounded suspicion and/or a bruised ego has tarnished an otherwise good professional working relationship.

I have been shampooed and styled immediately on arrival. Haven't waited a moment which is impressive. She does one persons hair at a time. I was in and out in one hour! And I love my hair.
