We book this hotel because of our timeshare. The staff are all very friendly and very willing to
read morehelp. Although the hotel is little old and not as much activities like the other hotel offers we definitely have a wonderful experience and we love that our room is located just outside of the pool and beach area . They also have a convenience store which was nice and we can buy eggs, bacon, bread etc for our breakfast. The room has a good size kitchen, stove top, microwave , toaster and kitchen utensil which was very good for us since my son likes simple things and we can easily make it and less expensive ad well:) One thing I like most also is because of our room location we can just have breakfast in our balcony and see the pool and the ocean and walk while see my son in the balcony which is amazing! Today is our last day but we are definitely coming back to Cancun. The one thing we don't like so much is the pillows and the bed little hard it hurts our neck. Other than that we had a great vacation :)

They upgraded us to a suite when we went before the holidays. It was incredibly well designed. I
read morejoked with my boyfriend that I would design my future apartment this way. Breakfast buffet was included which was amazing. The down side is that the hotel faces north. It blocks its own sunshine. So the pool doesn't get any sunshine until about 11am and then it's in the shadow from 4:30pm onwards. The beach outside the hotel is very shallow. The water will reach your knees for quite some distance until there's a drop. I'm not sure if this is naturally occurring or man made. It is also far from the other hotels where they typically provide water sports (jet skis, parasailing etc). They provide airport transportation at 350 pesos per trip. This is much cheaper than hiring a private car.

read more Resort is about 30-45 minutes from Cancun Inter. Airport. About 7-10 minutes from the ferry to go to Isla de Mujeres. About 6 minutes from Puerto de Cancun (Restaurants and a few shopping stores). You can take Ubers, way cheaper than regular taxis, just wait for the uber outside the security kiosk in front of the resort. Free WiFi is available, along with 3 other paid versions (I'm assuming for the quality of streaming). Free, $10, $20, 30 (For Premium), this is per day. Expensive in my opinion. Resort is well maintained, rooms were in excellent condition, snacks and drinks provided. Staff was good, not as friendly as other resorts we have been to from the same chain of resorts. Food was good too. 5 pools, (including one for adults only and one for babies and very little kids). Very clean, very nice set up. The beach is also available. I didn't like it much. Bring your rubber shoes to get. The beach is rocky as you enter (very uncomfortable for barefoot), there was also lots of algae floating around and the sea floor was very smooshy hahaha. Not my cup of tea. Kayak, paddle boarding, jet ski, para gliding, snorkeling, and a small floating water island to enjoy.

My wife are long-time WorldMark owners. We stayed here for a week at the beginning of September,
read moreand the place was fairly dead, which was fine with us. There were never more than two other couples in the pool, which made for a nice, quiet vacation. Our unit was just off the pool, which was a good location. Our unit had a small pool on the second-floor patio, but it was fairly useless, as it filled at a pace that made me think that the water was being added with an eye dropper. We had a bit of an ant infestation in the second-floor bathroom, but the staff was quick to bring some bug spray. The guy who runs the swim-up bar was friendly, and had reasonable prices on beers and cocktails. While there are a few restaurants within easy walking distance, it would be nice if they had a burger bar or taco shop onsite. We rented a golf cart through WorldMark, and while it is a little expensive, I would still recommend it, as it is a great way to get around and explore the island.

We stayed in room 1402...2 storeys, master bedroom up, small jacuzzi on the balcony of the master

We rented a golf cart at the front desk. We will definitely come back. Note: restaurants within less than a 10 minute walk: GreenVerde (3 stars) , Mangos (5+ stars), Kash Keken Chuc (4 stars) and a big grocery store - Chedraui

Hello all, We spent 5 nights at the Dreams Vista Cancun Golf
read more& Spa Resort. Overall, our experience was OK--not bad, but certainly not outstanding. While the resort offered a decent package of restaurants and services, it didn't quite meet our expectations based on previous stays at other all-inclusive locations. If you're considering this resort and don't have much prior information, it's best to manage your expectations. Some reviews come from guests experiencing all-inclusives for the first time, so their reference points may differ. Here's a summary: The real standout here was the staff--they were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We genuinely enjoyed interacting with them. Bar service was prompt, and the drinks were good. The staff also did an excellent job keeping the property and beach areas clean and inviting. For staff alone, I would give them 5 stars (out of 5). If you're hoping to play golf at the nearby course, keep in mind that feedback from other guests indicates the course was in poor condition and not recommended. While I didn't play myself, a group we spoke with chose to book elsewhere after their experience. Note that the golf course is not managed by the resort, so check detailed reviews prior to booking a round. There are other options in the area. Overall, based on a golfer's perspective: 2 stars. The location works well enough, but don't expect to find much within walking distance for exploring. If you want to see more of the area, you'll likely need to rely on Uber or a cab. I did walk around and enjoyed learning about the local culture, though it turned into a 10-mile trek. Overall: This part is subjective. No rating. The biggest letdown was the restaurant dining. While we're not picky eaters, we do appreciate good food. The buffet offered plenty of choices, so you'll likely find something suitable for adults and kids alike. I had breakfast there daily and ate dinner a couple of times. It was fine--not memorable, but not disappointing either. Once again, the staff was great. Just keep expectations realistic for buffet dining. Overall: 4 stars Restaurants. We tried both the Asian and Italian restaurants. The Asian restaurant was acceptable--the food matched our expectations, but nothing stood out as exceptional. Our friends paid extra for the grill table (steak and lobster for $25), but they regretted the expense, feeling it wasn't worth the additional cost. Overall: 3.5 stars (excluding the grill table) The Italian restaurant was a real disappointment for us. The service was excellent, and our server was attentive and well-deserving of a generous tip. The basics--salad, bread, calamari, and included wines--were fine. However, the beef entrée I ordered was so poor in both taste and presentation that I couldn't tell what cut it was, or even if it was real beef. My friends tried it and agreed it tasted like a processed meat product rather than actual beef. The other dishes were just OK; nothing impressed us. Overall: 2 stars.

I did have lunch at their pool side restaurant which the special of the day was poke and it was delicious. Service was also friendly and prompt. As I was there on a day pass they held my passport u til I returned the key card to access the gym/locker room and the two towel cards. I really enjoyed they have a lending library and I got to pickup a book while there. In usual fashion, pool chairs were reserved as soon as the day starts which made it harder to find a prime seat. They also had a competition at the pool area that was entertaining to watch. Restrooms could have been better marked for directions as I wondered we around for a hot minute to find the ones labeled on the maps. Maybe it was just me? Overall great day at the property and I'll stay here next time to get the full experience.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We stayed at The Westin Lagunamar Ocean
read moreResort Villas & Spa expecting a high-end experience and got the exact opposite. We arrived late and asked for bottled water, and were told to just drink the sink water... in Mexico. That alone set the tone. I also repeatedly emailed our concierge for assistance and received no response whatsoever. Our room smelled like mold, and the sheets were damp. Housekeeping replaced them, but the odor and overall condition never improved. Not what you expect at this level. Then it got worse. We had two rooms, one at this hotel and one at a neighboring hotel where a large group of our family was staying. That other hotel requires wristbands, which we had, so security here assumed we didn't belong, even though we had rooms at this property. At the pool, they approached us publicly and repeatedly questioned us, over and over, in front of everyone. No attempt to verify privately, no discretion, just standing over us and making a scene. It was humiliating. Then it happened again. While checking out, we crossed back onto this property to retrieve our luggage that they were holding. Security stopped us again and treated us like we were doing something wrong, only to confirm, once again, that we were legitimate guests. Two separate incidents. Same behavior. The level of aggression and lack of professionalism from security is completely out of control. This is not how paying guests should ever be treated. This wasn't just a misunderstanding, it was a failure in how guests are handled, and it happened more than once. We will never stay here again.

Extremely impressed with my experience!!! Starting with the third party shuttle they use to get you

We had two balconies in our suite. Room service always came and cleaned!! Good soaps for body and face. They were in the shower and mounted on the wall. The soap was not the typical dry hotel soap you expect at a regular hotel. The OUTSIDE BAR, POOLS AND BEACHES*** was just magnificent!!! The pool area was very luxurious! Felt like I was at an elite resort. The bar had good drinks and the bartender understood English pretty well!! Their access to the beach had a nice set up. They had cabanas, chairs and huts. There was always plenty- never had to wait for someone to get up or anything. This hotel is in the perfect location of everything!!!! Side Note- To set up a shuttle to and from the airport, go to the hotel's website and select 'Contact Us' and tell them you need a shuttle and they will reply to you within 24hrs asking about your arrival time and further instructions. Round trip for me was ($98) which is normal. This hotel was 20 minutes from the airport No matter what hotel you end up choosing, always order your shuttle through the hotel only!!! (Key advice for you)
