If you are looking for an affordable hotel at the beach than this is the hotel you are looking for. I didn't pay a high price for my week here, so I was not expecting a five star treatment either. It's clean, safe and centrally located. Walking distance to restaurants, stores and clubs. Swimming pool was clean and family oriented. To me, the food was overpriced so I decided to walk out to the restaurants outside the property. Cocktails are served in disposable plastic cups. The only thing that really bother me was the "concierge " that they assigned you. Almost every time we stepped into the lobby, they will approach you and will try to sale you discounted activity packages. I was on vacation and did not have any intentions on following any of their schedules. Other than that, the rest of their staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend and I would stay here again.

I so wish I could rate this place higher just because the people are fantastic - especially Tanya. She made this visit worthwhile . The resort is nice and has a great location but is severely dated . It desperately needs an upgrade . This is our first time here and if you're with a family and want to party it's ok. I can't tell you enough about the incredible staff who work here. Love every single one of them.

Alejandra BEAUTIFUL HOTEL, GREAT STAFF! Our stay was amazing!!! Great location, nice rooms specially the ones facing the ocean, we stayed at a Villa that had ocean front, which the front desk accommodate us with and we couldn't be anymore thankful with them for giving us a beautiful ocean front room to make our stay even more special ! The staff was awesome, nice, helpful, friendly! They made our stay great and made it unforgettable! Front desk staff (Sergio, Jazz, Jonathan, Linda and Andres were very friendly and very nice! Mateo the bell man was so nice and helpful all the time. Bersain helped us with club reservations, the bar staff (Sophia and the bartender were so fun and nice! Luis the beach server was so nice and friendly. The restaurant staff were also very nice and friendly... Choosing this hotel was the best choice we could have made! If you ask me, I'd stay here AGAIN!!!

WOW!! This place is an absolute dream. From the beautiful pool area to the spacious villas, I have zero complaints. Check in was a breeze, rooms are clean, and the location is perfect. A quick walk and you can be at the grocery store, restaurants, or souvenir shop. The beach behind the resort is GORGEOUS. Staff have all been so friendly. Jorge & Brian (aqua world) are amazing activity directors!! So friendly and informative they were a pleasure to meet. Jorge had the party going with different games and his awesome dance moves. They even do promotions randomly like "free 5 minute massages" for adults which is awesome but you should tip. Gustavo also was very fun with activities and super friendly! Cynthia & Wendy, two poolside cocktail waitress' were so sweet! Always with a friendly smile and very quick service each time we saw them. Overall we loved everything about fiesta villas and can not wait to comeback very very soon!

Fiesta Americana Cancún Villas is such a GORGEOUS hotel although it is more intimate than the other properties in the hotel zone. My girlfriend and I took this trip for our 6-year anniversary / her 28th birthday, and upon arrival we were treated like celebrities. From the moment we got out of our cab, the hotel staff immediately took care of our luggage in such a friendly and courteous manner, and the check-in process was super quick and simple. We arrived around 11AM, HOURS before the actual check-in time (3PM) and they were able to arrange for our room to be ready that early! I was so impressed. The building itself, grounds, restaurants, pool area and private beach were so gorgeous it took my breath away. We were so excited!! After we checked in, we were greeted by Paco who was extremely nice, helpful and knowledgeable about the hotel and activities to do in Cancún. He acted as our unofficial host throughout our entire 7 day stay and always had a smile on his face. He performed a sort of introductory session with us to go over everything the property had to offer and he even gave us vouchers for a free 20-minute hand massage at the spa and a free photo session on the beach with a professional photographer! It all seemed too good to be true. With all of this information in mind; the only part that I did not like was that we were told we had to attend a timeshare presentation that was actually disguised as a "free breakfast". We didn't mind the idea at first, but after partying all night we were not able to make it to the "breakfast" the next morning. Over the course of our stay, I began to notice every day that the front desk would call and persuade me to attend this "breakfast" over and over again until we finally agreed to go. Turns out my suspicions were confirmed and even though we did receive the free meal, it was all basically a meeting where we were forced to attain information about Fiesta's other properties and asked to become a sort of member of theirs. Bottom line, they tried to get more money out of us by attempting to set up a future vacation with them and pay it off monthly. We were already worried about the expenses of our CURRENT vacation! What made them think we were able to book another trip for the future that hasn't even been thought about or planned yet?? I felt as though the whole thing was rude and uncalled for. Other than that, our stay was absolutely amazing and I would recommend Fiesta to my family and friends! It is very close to all clubs, bars, restaurants and shopping areas, clean rooms with daily housekeeping, and the view from our balcony was STUNNING. I even gushed about the small details like our toilet paper being scented I brought a roll home just for the memory (I'm a slight memory hoarder lol!) Only other con was that the tv channels didn't offer much of a selection, but who's staying in to watch tv on vacation anyway? Almost every night we could hear the live entertainment happening downstairs in the lobby and although my gf and I never attended, it always sounded so lit! They know how to party and make sure you're happy -- so we were definitely happy. It felt like a home away from home I'd love to return someday, but I feel like there's too much to explore in Cancún and I'll be looking for another place that's hopefully half as lovely as Fiesta for my future trip back

Fiesta Americans Cancun Villas were a little out dated, but still, nice, clean and affordable. The staff was amazing, the food was very flavorful, and reasonably priced. The views from the rooms were perfect because you're facing the ocean. This hotel is also within walking distance to all of the hotspots in the hotel zone. I would stay here again!

My wife and I spent a week at Fiesta Americana Cancun Villas. Their staff was wonderful. Wendy served food and drink at the beach. Karla the bartender made sure we were safe and enjoying ourselves. Freddy hosted a great Karaoke night. Everyone in the spa gave the royal treatment. Maid service was very thorough and pleasant. Breakfast between the ocean and pool was quality. The resort is small enough to feel quaint, but has enough amenities to make a great vacation.

Recently had a 5 night stay at FAV and I have to say that I was very satisfied with my time here! (+) Friendly staff. I mean, very friendly and helpful staff. Everyone from front desk to the concierge, to the restaurant to bellman were all so very accommodating and really went out of their way to help. (+) Room was a mini-suite with a fridge, microwave, sink to wash dishes, full set of dishes, and accommodated my request for a high floor with a sea view. (+) they have laundry facilities for FREE on the 4th floor! They sell Tide in the gift shop for just 18 pesos ($0.97) a bag (1-2 loads per bag). (+) Restaurant was fantastic! Great food, solid portions, and all at very affordable prices. We ate here 3 times during our stay. (+) Small, but cozy and private area of beach that was never crowded. Huge towels available with drink service under tiki hut type umbrellas lol felt like I was in a Corona commercial everytime we went down there! (+) Pool was huge and water was always perfect and at a comfortable temperature! Swim up pool was fun with drinks at 55 pesos a Corona. ($2.95) (+) Within 10-15 minutes walking to some great food options and nightlife (+) Computers with internet access available in the gift shop until 11pm every night (-) Older facility that could use a bit of a facelift. Was still very clean though. (-) Still too far to walk to many other things in the hotel zone. Be prepared to use cabs. (-) water in the room was literally double the price of the water at the convenience store directly across the street. Make that walk. Plus they would not let you borrow a bottle opener. I would have to walk out to the pool bar and ask that guy to pop it for me. A bit of a hassle if you prefer bottles to cans, as I do. For the price I paid, I was very happy with my time here and would definitely recommend Fiesta Americana Villas to others visiting the hotel zone in Cancun! 4 solid stars!

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

My husband and I came to Temptation Resort to celebrate his birthday, relax, and make memories together. Instead, we experienced one of the most frightening experiences of our lives. While we were napping in bed, the ceiling above our bed suddenly collapsed onto us. I woke up to the sound of crashing drywall and instinctively threw my legs up to shield my face from the falling debris. Looking at the damage afterward, I can't stop thinking about how differently this could have ended if I hadn't reacted in that split second. Looking back, there were warning signs. From the day we checked in, our room had a persistent wet, mildew-like odor and excessive condensation. I remember mentioning how strange it smelled, but I convinced myself it was just the tropical humidity. The room was both excessively cold and damp. What has stayed with me most, though, is not just the collapse--it's how we were treated afterward. I expected compassion. I expected concern. I expected someone to recognize that waking up to a ceiling crashing down on sleeping guests is a traumatic experience. Instead, I felt like the seriousness of what happened was minimized. The initial response was a lateral room change and upgraded wristbands for premium liquor, as if that could somehow make us forget what had just happened. Only after we continued to express how unacceptable the situation was did the resort offer an upgraded suite, steaks, cabana, and a (2) 25-minute massage. Those gestures completely missed the point. This wasn't about luxury upgrades or complimentary amenities. It was about our safety. It was about acknowledging the fear we experienced and taking responsibility for a catastrophic event that should never happen in an occupied guest room. Instead we got "things like this happen". Huh? To make matters worse, the resort refused to provide ANY refund--not even for the day the ceiling collapsed--unless we signed documents releasing them from liability. We were expected to sign away our rights before we even knew whether we had injuries or what the long-term impact of this experience might be. We declined. The emotional impact didn't end that night. For the rest of our stay, I couldn't relax. I suffered from extreme anxiety the next day, that warranted a doctor visit. At this time, the matter had still not been rectified. We were expected to wait around for the GM to speak with us, he never did- we never even met him. The sense of peace and security that a vacation should provide was gone. Instead of enjoying my husband's birthday trip , I spent the remainder of our trip feeling anxious, on edge, and constantly replaying what had happened. No guest should leave vacation with this experience. The front desk manager denied my request to any incident reports or doctor reports that included information pertaining to this situation. She didn't appear to have any remorse, empathy, or compassion. I'm sharing this not because I want sympathy, but because people deserve to know what happened and how it was handled. I hope the resort takes this incident seriously, thoroughly investigates what caused it, and changes how it responds when guests experience a major safety event. The photos tell the story better than words ever could. I truly hope no one else ever has to wake up the way we did.

We got a ground level room with a deck facing the pool, it was clean and the mini fridge was stocked, it is restocked every 24hrs with water, snacks, beers and soda. The room did have a watery smell to it, but nothing that was a bother. The room's air conditioning worked great and there is a ceiling fan. There was shampoo and body wash in the shower. The shower head is adjustable so you are able to change the water pressure. The shower gets hot and stays hot. We used the gym all 6 days we were there, it has great equipment, 3 treadmills, 3 bikes, 3 ellipticals and weights. The only thing is the air conditioning doesn't work very well so be prepared to sweat! There were 3 restaurants on the property, Mexico Lindo, a seafood and an Italian restaurant. They all had amazing food, we ate at each one twice. You can also choose to eat at the buffet for dinner which doesn't need a reservation and there is a 24hr snack bar. The reason why I gave this resort 4 starts instead of 5 is the fact that you do have to be up at 6:45am if you want a reservation. However, when we were there, Mexico Lindo wasn't requiring a reservation. You also have to be up early if you want to reserve a spot at the pool or beach. Each guest receives one towel that you can exchange at the end of the day for a new towel or a towel card. If you lose your towel or towel card it is a $25 fee. There is a ferry right by the beach that you can take to Isla Mujeres which we did, it was $29USD per person which makes for a beautiful day trip. A lot of reviews say there is a gasoline smell at the beach, that was not the case. At times when the ferry left to Isla Mujeres it would linger for about 5 seconds then it'd be gone. It is a great beach. There is also free WiFi at this resort. The workers are AMAZING!! We had great service at the restaurants, bars, everywhere. They were all friendly and helpful. He handled our restaurant and cabana reservations ahead of time and was instrumental in securing a late check-out on our final day. The dining at this all-inclusive is superb. For breakfast, Siete offers a decent buffet, and our waiter, Helvert, was incredibly kind and always took the time to chat with us. For dinner, DB was our top choice for elegant continental dining, complete with a live pianist. The manager, Susana, provided excellent service, the food was delicious, and the chef even came out to greet us. We also loved Hidden Gardens, a relaxed Asian-fusion spot with tasty food, impeccable service, and another welcome visit from the chef. During the sweltering day, the pool is the main draw. Lalo was always helpful in securing our requested cabana. They cost an extra $115 each time, but they are completely worth it to escape the intense sun. Our pool waitress, Marysol, befriended us and knew exactly what non-alcoholic drinks to bring us. My wife is a big coffee drinker, so we frequently stopped by the included Starbucks, where David the barista gave excellent service and loved chatting with me about World Cup soccer. Also, a big shoutout goes out to Lady and Daisy at the spa. They gave my wife and I heavenly massages. However, the absolute heart of the entire hotel is Marco, the extraordinary juicer at Siete! This is not a party resort. When we were there, there was a karaoke night and a DJ in one of their lounges, but it was never crowded and the events ended early or people just left early. The 1st room we stayed in was HORRIBLE! We couldn't sleep. There was a loud rumbling sound coming from the huge air conditioning units right outside balcony. Ear plugs did not help. We talked to 3 other people also complaining about the noise from their rooms also. We were so thankful to Eileen/Aileen at the front desk for moving us. She let us view 3 rooms that were available. We went from a partial ocean view room with a king bed on the 2nd floor to a garden view (actually just the alley with trees) with 2 queen beds on the 1st floor. There was no noise whatsoever! Yaaaay! The person booking excursions could be more friendly. He seemed uninterested and looked bored. Whenever we saw him speaking to other guests, he really looked bored or tired. ONE STAR for the spa. We arrived 15 minutes early for a couples massage. My husband was led to the men's side and I was taken to the women's side. The young lady leading the way, paused at the locker room but led me directly to the quiet room. I was fully dressed and had all my belongings with me. Everyone else was in robes. Why wasn't I given a locker to store my things and a robe to change into??? I was so upset and felt so out of place. When my husband met me in the quiet room he was as confused as I was as to why I was still fully dressed. We were led to the massage room and I asked AGAIN about changing into a robe and storing my things. One of the masseuses said I didn't need to. WTF? So I undressed and piled my clothes onto an ottoman. I could not relax. The music was too loud and inappropriate. Why are you playing music with someone singing loudly? When it was over, it took me a while to calm down. We paid for shit service?! We came back and spoke to Jessica at the desk. She was also confused and concerned about the whole lock and robe ordeal. She offered a discounted spa treatment the next day but we were leaving. I wouldn't have taken it anyway. Overall, the staff was AMAZING! Please recognize them! They worked really hard to make our stay enjoyable. Get to know the staff and tip them well. Thank you to Jose at Egos who made sure our hands always had a drink in them; Carlos at Varenna for the house special cocktails; Miguel who took care of us while we relaxed on the beachside cabana. He was so attentive, personable and funny. Alejandro at the poolside bar made us laugh, Israel at Azur for the honest feedback when we had questions about the dinner menu, and Cesar at Hidden Garden who helped us figure out what was what in the darkness of the dining area. One that note, why is it so dark at Hidden Garden during the dinner service? We had to use the flashlights on our phones to read the menu and see our food. Fernando at the Siete breakfast buffet was awesome! We watched him smoothly take care of so many tables. We never felt neglected despite all the tables and people he was tending to. Lulu (Lou Lou?) is AMAZING, FUNNY and ENTERTAINING! We were lost the 1st night we arrived. He stopped what he was doing to personally escorted us to Azur in the darkness, around all the pools. We ran into him several times during our stay. He always made sure we were ok and having a good time. His energy is unmatched! Thank you to Omar, from the Concierge desk. He welcomed us when we arrived and gave us so much information about the resort. It seemed like he works everywhere. We saw him at different places in the resort. Maryam from the Concierge Desk! She was an angel. She really listened to all of our concerns. She was so friendly and funny. Even when our stay was over and we were waiting for our ride, she offered drinks and food to take with us to the airport. She definitely put a smile back on my face.

Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

Hey Ya'll! So I wasn't impressed with this resort…read more Amenities (3.5/5)Overall, the amenities were decent. I really enjoyed the beach and the pools for swimming. They were clean and I had no reaction after. Pools that are not properly maintained give my skin the itchies after. Food (2/5)Breakfast buffet and the Mexican restaurant were the meals I mostly enjoyed. I did love the buffet, but let's be honest, that's probably because all I ate was avocado, fruit, eggs, and bacon anyway, lol. So that part worked in my favor. The Italian spot had good apps. The mussels were what I should have eaten for my meal. The rest was meh. Room and Cleanliness (3.5/5)The room view was absolutely beautiful and made me happy. That said, I cleaned the room well myself upon checking in. I had only one cleaning so my roomie would have the new room clean experience when she checked in. Room Decor and Structure (2/5)Not up to my personal standards in any way. The minibar is why a two and not a one. There was no headboard. The sinks had no drain covers. I was petrified and spent most of the week taking jewelry on and off so I wouldn't drop anything. I really enjoyed the view from the balcony, which is where i spent most of my waking time when in the room. I also thought this was an adults-only resort. It wasn't. No bueno! The staff was a solid 5/5, especially after the mishap with my dry cleaning. They were accommodating, kind, and appreciative of tips and our patience. I almost lost it about my clothes, but they handled it well and I appreciated that. I do wonder if the floor that we stayed on was an older floor we were on the fifth floor in rooms 545, 547 and 548. So I wonder if rooms on that floor were in worse condition than some of the other others they seem to have not been slept in for a while because when I cleaned there were lots of dust as if no one had been in there for a while . The beach was great and very almost private. The vendors weren't too pushy and they had decent pricing. Dollars go further...don't exchange to Mexican pesos!

We had a wonderful time and would return again and again. The adult pool is our favourite place to be and Marcelo is a gem! He remembered our drink order after day 1. Also, special shout out to Mendez in the lobby bar, who was so friendly and always had a big smile for us. The staff make this resort! They are so kind, friendly and gracious. We will be back!!

OMG I would say the worst, but it was some pleasant moments…read more We were he for a little under a week, and had to change our rooms 3 times; due to the air conditioners not working properly. The first night our room was like an oven. We changed the room and it was the same thing. The last room safe did not work or lock at all, so we had to lock our valuables in our luggage. While we were out on an excursion Items from our room was appeared to been searched, and missing. One thing that was the obvious was the my eyeglasses cleaning cloth, which was on the floor, that i always keep folded with the tiny spray, in its Velcro satin case. That's the moment when I discovered my son's Ray Ban's were missing. ( a birthday gift from his Nana) The best thing that about the resort was the coffee and me shop, and one restaurant that was RSVP only, that was still inclusive with the price of the room. I appreciate that excursion could be purchased on the venue. It's so unorganized when your purchases tour come to pick you up. We are informed to be in the lobby, there's so many people in the lobby, on different tours, that we were overlooked. Not only did our tour bus leave us, and we discovered within the SAME MINUTE, I'm talking seconds! They can not call them back to pick us up theirs no return or discounts, I had to pay another $120 for transportation ONLY to get to the park states over, otherwise I would have lost my money for two people. We manage to get there and rode our tour bus back to the resort afterwards. Mexico tours will definitely leave you at your hotel, jungle, or desert. And theirs no much phone reception. So have your ass outside on the curbs with a sign or your purchase records. I met a lady who always visit Mexico and was told that she always travel with her own fan. Like she brings a Carryon just for her fan only. This was a lesson learned. Service was friendly. They want to discord all your wristbands when you checking out. There was a cool night club on the venue that offered drinks as well. Overall I felt safe and irritated. I would selected a different resort on my next visit to Mexico.

Ignoring the beach sea algae and stomach bugs we got, there were so many issues with our stay…read more Buffet food was dry and low quality, restaurants require reservations but were all full regardless, broken elevators, showers with damaged plumbing, drinks were all watered down (both regular and alcoholic, you can taste it and watch them pour water into the OJ, for example), they aggressively sell you excursions and addons at check in like a pirate ship outing, pool towels are constantly unavailable and waiting on being washed, the gift shop only had minimal medicines in case you get sick, the required wristband to wear have sharp edges and it's easy for you and your kids to cut each other while playing at the pool, the bedroom drawers aren't secured properly and can easily slide out and fall on your kids feet, etc. They're helpful with bringing drinks at the meals and things like the swim up bar at the pool are handy, the beach hammocks are nice, and they did a good job picking up our bags at check in, but there's still so many issues and so I don't plan on coming back.

The bathroom was especially horrible--it was not clean and clearly not maintained. The hotel's common areas were also very uncomfortable because there was no air conditioning in the lobby or the restaurants. The beach was extremely dirty, which took away from the overall experience. It was also concerning to see staff serving food while sweating heavily due to the heat, creating an unpleasant dining environment. Overall, this hotel fell far below my expectations for cleanliness, comfort, and maintenance. I would not recommend staying here based on my experience

And what used to be "the world's largest telephone booth" would dominate ANY hotel in the USA. The people are overly friendly as long as you are not doing shady things. And with billboards offering services directly to your room and a hospital system where you only go if you're sick. The "grey area" is a pretty loose term. The entire hotel is illuminated with L.E.D.'s. The space is immaculate. It was 1/4 mile from the room to the lobby. The ballrooms and convention spaces are like a stadium. (Indoors or outdoors). The public bus arrives every (2) minutes and are often full. It is approximately .50 US to go 30 miles downtown. Just looking at the creative ideas a child could write a book . "This ain't Tijuana". The malls and beaches are protected by federal soldiers and the streets have checkpoints every mile. They obtain your information and destination. If something is off a militia is on alert. In NOLA people go missing all the time. They get discovered weeks later. Would never happen in Mexico . A drunk guy might get out the box, but it is very controlled. These citizens are: smart, efficient, implemented, hard working, drive excellent, fast, diligent, and gracious. It's like walking through a museum. Being from a popular tourist town known for food, this place is VERY advanced. Instead of lounging and hiding these citizens WORK to pass the time. If you need anything just ask a bartender. Wonderful hotel! We stayed twice, three years apart and both times were fantastic!…read moreWe came here when my fiancé and I first started dating then again for our anniversary. Every single person that works at this property is out of this world! Kind, helpful and always going above and beyond to make things memorable! There's always a little bit of construction because they're renovating, so plan accordingly by calling with them to make sure the areas you want open, are open. The new speakeasy is super cute. We visited there one evening and have the best time and service! This isn't the same restaurant where you go to breakfast but at night is a Spanish tapas restaurant. Everything was fantastic but all the food on the property is really great! We especially loved to order lunch by the pool. All the cocktails are fantastic, even poolside! Rooms are standard JW with some of them recently updated with the others on their way to being updated. Yes, there is a sort of a musty smell in the air, but that's in most hotels. It's a very hard to keep those highly humid rooms from smelling a little musty. You just have to get over it and enjoy the time outside the room. Pools are super cute and the beach area is nice. There is an adult pool that is open during the day but wish it was open later! Lots of places in walking distance if you decide to venture out of the property but why would you need to! Easy drive from the airport and to the downtown or for departure to Isla Mujeres. We did not go to the island this time but last time we booked everything through the hotel and they made it super easy.
